Idk about you, but "married with a young boy" makes complete sense to me. Maybe it's because I'm also English, but what he's saying is he's married, and has a young boy. Like he's with his wife and kid. If he had said "married TO a young boy" then yes, it'd definitely be weird. I just don't get why people find the first phrase weird or odd lol
It's just like saying "I'm married with children" in stead of saying "I'm married and have children", just to shorten the sentence. But still, it sounds really wrong.
I imagine from the interviews I've seen that all the cast are cool fun loving people. Its just well written, produced, filmed and present by excellent actors to come together into what culminates on our screen and hooks fans. Season 1 to 3, I must have seen 5 or 6 times each episode and season 4 now 3 times each ep. But since I discovered Andrew Lincoln is English I've been paying really close attention to his American accent and it is so credible. So many twists and turns. We just lost dear ol Hershel, thats sad, R.I.P. Hersh. Man , I never thought I could even grieve the tiniest bit for a fictional character, but yeah, it was unexpected.
Andrew is so believable as Rick.........he is sympathetic when he needs to be an tough... what a job he has......so many depending on him......all the group dynamics to deal with
I remember him from a programme called "teachers" he was awsome in that too. He played a down to earth teacher who often ran into trouble. Can't really remember much of it but would love to watch it again. Anyone know where or how?
@hdebese1 I agree that given everyone from his town is supposed to be so close to Atlanta that his accent is a bit thicker than it could be, but it didn't address how far out they were I suppose. My husband lived in Rome, GA and has friends from there- that's about an outside of ATL- and his friends that stayed in that area (and later went to UGA) have accents similar to his. It's crazy how such a small change geographically makes such marked changes in dialect.
@1337Wunderbaum "Married WITH a young boy" with definition from Dictionary . com : (used as a function word to specify an additional circumstance or condition): We climbed the hill, with Jeff following behind.
Sarah... I watch The Walking Dead on my computer... It's not grainy, it's HD. I get full appreciation! When the series meets it's end, I'll buy the DVD box set!
Rick's English, Maggie's English, and the actor cast for The Governor is also English. :) I don't find his accent surprising, because I'm English and I've seen him in Love Actually and another film, but I do think his accent is amazing!
A lot of English actors have been doing well in America of late, Jacks of SOA, Rick, Hugh L, Stringer bell and McNulty (The wire). Very convincingly too.
Oh man....I TOTALLY agree about the English accent. That accent sounded like the "put on" one. It's so strange. Great the show. And the writing gets better and better and better.
Andrew is awesome as Rick. He is a real guy thrust into a crazy world. Love how he isn't some "steroid-ed up action movie" guy. It makes the story seem much more real. Sarah is also great playing Rick's wife.
I think it must be a cross atlantic variation. In England we say married to...(then the wife). Don't you use the phrase 'married with kids'? But then lots of variations keep cropping up. Never liked the word coversating. What happened to converse?
@hdebese1 As someone from MS, who has lived in DFW and now in VA, I find his accent to be great. What I like most about it is that it is not overdone. I'd guess my own accent is much thicker than the character. When I've moved to "big cities," like I am living in now, I'm immediately asked, "Where are you from originally?" And yet, even my accent isn't as thick as my friends from AR or SC, or even as thick as it once was. My point? I think his accent is great.
holy shit, it took me so many years to watch something where he didn't put on an american accent, im so fucking shocked, that is the most convincing shit ive ever heard in my life, i watched from the beginning of rick to the end and three episodes after rick is gone, i then figure out that andy is english!!!! Thats god damned crazy
@Rorbotron It's really funny that you mentioned the exact tv shows that i love. I'm actually obsessed with Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad. Walking dead not so much anymore
yea i don't think he met what you think he met i think he was trying to say that the show filmed in the south in america but came out south of america lol but whatever i still knew what he met to say
Andrew is a cute British man :)
Andrew´s got such a nice and soothing voice! Like him so much!
Holy shit he's British wow what a talented persn

Lol at the begining he says hes married with a young boy lol
yes i noticed too :D ohh rick :p
It's just like saying "I'm married with children" in stead of saying "I'm married and have children", just to shorten the sentence. But still, it sounds really wrong.

Andrew Lincoln's southern accent is incredible! Amazing actor
Andrew is so believable as Rick.........he is sympathetic when he needs to be an tough...
what a job he has......so many depending on him......all the group dynamics to deal with
Andrew... that accent... and that face... Oh my god, I love it
thank you so much for the help and for the link and i hope you enjoy the rest of the seasons ,,,, thx
rick is my favourite
''WE CAN SHARE THE PRISON'' holy shit thats all i'm thinking about from the last season.
Andrew Lincoln had a well deserved main role in TWD, cause he's the best of the cast, and it's kind of tragic watching the show without him.
ikr
lovin sarah's diy bangs
I remember him from a programme called "teachers" he was awsome in that too. He played a down to earth teacher who often ran into trouble. Can't really remember much of it but would love to watch it again. Anyone know where or how?

He went to school in Bath, England which is where I live :)
@danstrummer. He left during the middle of shooting season 2. So starting episode 7 of this season is a all new show runner.
@1337Wunderbaum "Married WITH a young boy"

lol it sounds funny but he meant he is married and they have a young boy in short way there was nothing wrong about that lol
Actually Lauren Cohen who plays maggie is from L.A. but moved to the U.K. at at young age and thats why she has a slight accent.
Niz! You're a walking dead fan?!? I'm obsessed with this show. One of the only drama series I watch.
Sarah Wayne Callies is really pretty.
Only when you have Fox,i don't have that so i just saw season 1,2 and 3 on DVD but have to wait until next year for 4. :-)
He played a very small part in Human Traffic years ago whoda thought he would have gotten this part and hes a brilliant actor btw
Sarah... I watch The Walking Dead on my computer... It's not grainy, it's HD. I get full appreciation! When the series meets it's end, I'll buy the DVD box set!
He's married with a young boy 😂😂😂😂
hahaha
love him
damn sarah, didnt know you cussed like that, lol i love it!
I loved the tv show 'teachers' .. Andrew is one of the main characters.. watch it if you ever come across it.
i hope there will be 10 seasons ill watch it em all keep em comming
I didn't know either, quite amazing.
Actually, IMMERSE editions are anything but 'grainy'. Those guys are awesome, thank you IMMERSE crew!
I watched it online. But I tell you, I will watch season 3 on TV. Oh I can't wait. I'm so hooked on it.
Me too !! but plz can u tell me what is the last episode of season 2 is it 13 cause im so confused right now plz tell me ,,,,, thx
Rick's English, Maggie's English, and the actor cast for The Governor is also English. :) I don't find his accent surprising, because I'm English and I've seen him in Love Actually and another film, but I do think his accent is amazing!
I just LOVE Sarah
It actually is grammatically correct. Married is acting as a participle which can be used as an adjective. Married is describing Rick (adjective).
Love this show so much,thx
I just love 'Rick'..............he has such a job right from the time he meets
the 'little girl' which hooked me............
He is voice-appropriate on the series Afterlife.
Yeah, it was actually filmed in Atlanta
So does the Governor, Maggie and Morgan Jones (the black guy from the first season)
@Ronarks oh, right! huh... forgot him for a while, there :) yeah I knew he's brittish, loved him in snatch!
Damn Andrew Lincoln really nailed the American accent with Rick. Major kudos.
His voice was so much higher and more British back then
@Ronarks ummm trying not to be too much of an ignorant here... who's Morgan? an acter from the show, right?
Andrew's perfect for the role of Rick. In fact the entire cast are brilliant and actually look like their comic book counterparts.
My favorite character was the crawling Cut-in-Half-Zombie from episode 1...
i would have never thought that he had an english accent. he plays the american accent so well!
I'm from Georgia and have always thought his southern accent was off.. now I understand why!
Andrew Lincoln (Rick) was born to an English/Welsh Father (Clutterbuck) and a South African mother though, right?
@myself30035 yea...he is the black man from season 1 that takes rick in at the beginning
That was excellent!
A lot of English actors have been doing well in America of late, Jacks of SOA, Rick, Hugh L, Stringer bell and McNulty (The wire). Very convincingly too.
Sarah Wayne Callies is one attractive lady!
Oh man....I TOTALLY agree about the English accent. That accent sounded like the "put on" one. It's so strange. Great the show. And the writing gets better and better and better.
Andrew is such a cool actor!
just a compliment to a fellow youtuber.. do it all the time =)
What accent do you have? I had to read this post 3 times over before it made sense
Andrew is awesome as Rick. He is a real guy thrust into a crazy world. Love how he isn't some "steroid-ed up action movie" guy. It makes the story seem much more real. Sarah is also great playing Rick's wife.

i've played the game but not seen the film is it good?
It's so weird hearing him with his British accent, although I've seen the Series Afterlife that he's been in, I'm used to him sounding American!
He is such a good actor!
Great actor great guy
shit......... i pirated this and skipped through the boring parts.. i feel like shit. does anyone know where i can buy the bluerays or dvds?
I wonder if he ever goes around speaking in his actual voice and people think he's trying to fake an accent cause they're used to his voice in TWD lol
@myself30035 It surprised me too. He pulls off a great southern American accent. Very talented actor.
@TheDas9582 When did he leave the show?!
NIQQA!! how the heck do you do a georgian accent!!??
Walking Dead is the best show that has ever been created... I'm serious. And yeah I'm 12 and I love it so much... Can't wait until February 10th!
Where is Moragan in season 3???
he's also one of the dudes from Love Actually
This season 3 better be soon on blu-ray
He looks a bit like Michael Fassbender, great actors they are, could be brothers in something.
He said In the south of America, he said it right. Atlanta is in the south in north of America
@hdebese1 As someone from MS, who has lived in DFW and now in VA, I find his accent to be great. What I like most about it is that it is not overdone. My point? I think his accent is great.
Wtf!!!!!! Andrew Lincoln is British!!!!!!! I would have NEVER KNOWN!! He is such a good actor
I'm from the UK. This is best series ever. Just everthing is better with Zombies
Bet you regret saying that now.
oh man i would be so upset, but in interviews he said theres much in store for his character.
This is the only show/movie that has really lived up to it's hype and some
wowwww, Lincolns american accent is sooooo convincing in the show. Never would have guessed he is british!
omfg i never knew he was british, wooooooot?
he pulls off the southern accent very well!
I really like Andrew...he's one of my fave actors!
@SizzleCinema What about Jaxx from Sons of Anarchy
holy shit, it took me so many years to watch something where he didn't put on an american accent, im so fucking shocked, that is the most convincing shit ive ever heard in my life, i watched from the beginning of rick to the end and three episodes after rick is gone, i then figure out that andy is english!!!! Thats god damned crazy
watch Teachers with him starring. It's a great British TV show.
I like your rick voice in the show
hope your enjoying it
@BffsShakinItUp LOL, "acksent"?`
@BrunoSwavaholi i know that this is an old comment and you have long forgotten it by now but what did you mean?
@Rorbotron It's really funny that you mentioned the exact tv shows that i love. I'm actually obsessed with Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad. Walking dead not so much anymore
@grouchysmurf100 YOU'RE wrong he is in fact British. He was born in London
His voice is almost hotter than the Shandrea car scene in 'Secrets'...
yea i don't think he met what you think he met i think he was trying to say that the show filmed in the south in america but came out south of america lol but whatever i still knew what he met to say
it is amazing how Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimmes of THE WALKING DEAD) hides his british accent for the show :))
In britain married sometimes means knocked out
I'm British and I know that's not true
