Bought one used and never looking back. It’s great.
Completely worth it. Sometimes for tools or work products it makes sense to pay more. The Aeron has a 12 year warranty. With it I’ll be able to work more comfortably at my desk, which means I’ll work longer hours, and likely make more money through hours or raises. And it’s not surprising to see these chairs go for a decade or more without needing fixes, so I’m not gonna need to buy another for a long time. So it makes sense to me even fully loaded at full price. For the record this is the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in as well. I was blessed at an early job using one of these and had no idea it was such an icon. I searched and finally found it and knew it would be the one for me. Thanks for the video.
Shame pathetic high price should be around £600 max
It's kinda funny. When I graduated college and started working, mostly in a corporate setting from one company to another, often times I noticed all office chairs were Herman Miller's and never thought of it as in over the top kind of chair but a decent comfortable kind of chair, it kinda grew on me. However, it never never never cross my mind how damn expensive these chairs were until I started working from home, I missed it a lot so I thought of buying one and I was SHOCKED when I looked at that $1700 price tag. I'm so used to this chair by now, I think it's a great investment and never looked back.
hahah same here, i worked for one company 6 years and rarelt had back pain, but once i moved to new office which does not have this chair i develop a severe back pain within 2 years, the price is really worth it
Massive profits from these chairs FACT...
@@awais8656 It's called getting old just can't sit for so long these days.

I’m curious - what would you recommend for a better ergonomic chair ?
Have had my Aeron Remastered for about 4 years now. Haven't regretted it once. They came out to replace the gas cylinder last year as part of the warranty. I have size C, my wife has size A, worth every penny IMO.
Yeah the in-person service is insane! 😳
Martin - what’s your height? I’m 6’3” between size B + C
@@onekeiway I'm 6'2", about 230lbs. I found the C gave me a bit more space to move around.
@@MartinCliffe thank you sir!!
Hi, does this method of identifying Aeron's size (1-3 bumps under the logo on the back) work with the remastered version?
How low down can the seat go? Like what is the height from the ground to the seat when it is in its lowest setting?
The best Aeron Remastered review I have seen so far. And I have already seen dozens of them... :)
Watching the videos from @minimalistik just for the setup in the background is worth it. The review of chair is a bonus..
Aww thanks 😍
Hey how tall are you and what size did you go with B or C? Just to help me gauge
Does the polished aluminium get scratched 🧐 , is the standard base better?
Would it be the same chair if you get it on Amazon ?
How do you get the 35% discount?
What color did you buy this one?
Am 5'4 which size is good for me?
just for reference how tall you are ? im not sure what size i would go for thanks
Where did you buy that large mouse pad? I need that
Which colour is the chair
Went to thé shop today and tried for Herman Miller modèls. I just ordered my onyx B. Cant wait to work on this pièce of art!!!!
I found Mirra 2 very good too but took thé aeron cause I dreamed of this iconic chair for long...
@@xy6624 you still use it?
which do you prefer in terms of comfort between this and the gesture?
Great review! What is your weight and height?
I have the exact same options. Mine is about 15 months old. I paid $2,000 USD. And...I regret it. Having said that, all office chairs are a bit uncomfortable to me so any issue is likely more me than the chair. Sometimes I wheel it aside and bring out my drum throne for relief.
I'm 6'1'' 175lbs. and I recommend a size C. The seat does not hurt my legs because it is bigger on the C. The back of the chair should not come below your shoulders imo. The size seems most important when buying this chair. The seat is narrow so wider people may still be bothered by the hard plastic edges even in a C. For me it is just perfect and I love my Aeron remastered.
@@salut9658 I recommend C if you have longer legs. I had both the B and C model at home and decided to keep the C model (183cm, 80kg, inner leg length 88cm)
@@liquidmercury6377 agreed. 6' 2" - 187cm / 214lbs - 97kg. size C works best for me.
Helpful video! I’m between getting the size a or b but I’m torn! I watched your other video where you and your wife judged chairs and I’m similar to her size/height-does she like the Arron size b or is it too big for her?
The size is very important for this chair. I would try both out if you could. The top of the back of the chair should be right at your shoulder level when seated fully. Too small or too big will effect the comfort level achieved.
@@8motozero8 thanks!
3:14 "Solve" the problem with 3 sizes is not good, is better an adjustable seat, the B is too short for me but the C is too big!
On the other hand, I'm amazed you chose the B and you like the seat because you looks way tall than me.
What are those wrist rests?
Why didn’t you go for polished base? Do you use a headrest ?
Because it’s super expensive lol
Is there any way for me to get that 35% rebate like you got, it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
Still wanting to know over a year later
What keyboard are you using please?
It’s the Nuphy Air60, review coming soon on the channel 😁
I have had this chair for a few months now. I first tried the classic at my previous job and decided to buy a Remastered for my new WFH setup.
I absolutely love it, but DO NOT buy this chair without either trying it ahead of time or being willing to return it.
In order to love this chair, you have to buy the correct size, sit in it correctly, and even after all that you simply have to be the right “fit” for the chair. Some people will find that no matter what they do, their body comes in contact with the plastic frame (usually at the front of the seat) which is very uncomfortable.
However if you get the right size, sit in it properly, and are the right fit, you will probably love this chair. It is true you can’t fold both legs in the seat without feeling pain. But the posture-adjusting aspects of the chair reduced my need to change positions much. That is one of the magical powers of the Aeron.
Do your homework and test it out. While I think this is one of the best chairs I’ve ever sat in (if not the very best,) your experience could be the complete opposite.
Additionally, this chair does have an excellent headrest that you can buy called the Atlas headrest. It is NOT made by HM but it is designed with the exact same look and materials as the chair, and it matches perfectly. I would strongly recommend it, but it is another 200 dollars or so.
Cheers. Nice setup btw!
Just sit in my £250 office chair always feels comfortable like duh...
My chair is too comfortable so end up sitting for too many hours.
Beats any rip off office chairs these days bought it over 10 years ago probably impossible to buy same quality now even at £1000, market is flooded by Chinese junk.
Hi ! Any advice on getting that 35% rebate ?????
Yes, I'm curious about that 35% rebate
Hey sorry folks, got that rebate because the company I work for has a deal with Herman Miller.
If I wanted to buy a headrest for this chair, would any one off amazon work with an aeron or does it need to be Herman miller branded to attach it?
Herman miller doesn't make headrests. Atlas headrest is the only one that uses the same mesh and plastic as herman miller, and the only brand that doesn't void the warranty of the chair, it's widely considered the go to headrest for the aeron.
Wow! How did you get that discount? :)
Wondering the same thing. 35% off is nuts. Would save me soooo much ;(
you should have gone for size C... i am 1,84 m tall. ab believe me i had the B and switched to C.. its about double comfy for me.
Yep, he seems really tall for the size B. I'm just under 6 feet tall and I opted for the size C.
your option is plastic?
06:19 - how come you're saying that the chair can be locked in any position other than the main? I've got the Aeron Remastered to test, and surely it cannot be locked in any other position than the mail. I've sent an inquiry to the shop and they confirmed that. If you've got the tilt function enabled, there's no locking but only the so-called "tilt limiter".
You have probably already figured this out, but because the chair cannot tilt more forward than the tilt limiter permits it to go backwards it is "locked" in the forward position.
I've had a HM Aeron for the past 8 years. The only bitch I have is that the seat is a bit slippery, so my butt is contently slowly sliding forward. I wish it was grippier. Other than that, I love it.
How tall are you?
Which size you have?
One simple thin grip mat and it's all fixed right
I am curious how you convinced your employer to partially pay for it. I bought mine alone, at full price, and spec'ed-out; I was too scared to ask my employer to pay for it 😬
Depends on the company. Some companies give you an allowance for office equipment when we all started WFH during the pandemic. Check with your HR department.
Second or third? YEET
I'm from Brazil, the price here is 2.2k (dollars), so... still thinking about buying one. Thanks
Same, super expensive here in Canada too 😓
Consegui comprar a minha completa por 8200
Took delivery of an Aeron recently. Disappointed in the product. Disgusted with customer service.
That sucks, I had a more pleasant experience.
What's your height? I'm 6'1 and can't decide between B or C
C, I'm 6'1'' 175lbs. and I NEED a C. It matters a lot!
I’m only 6’ tall and only 160lbs but found the size B seat too short so went for the size C. On top of that, the size C gives you a little more space so your thighs do not have to run paralell perfectly meaning you can open your legs slightly if you wish. Even tough I’m not a big guy, the backrest’s frame of size B also touched my shoulders that was really unpleasant.
But what is it like to sit on? Do you even know what a review is
As a long term user of the Aeron in my workplace (without chair arms) and I suffer from chronic lower back pain, I personally found the Aeron useless for my case and actually caused more issues for my back. About 1/3 of my workplace complained that the Aeron was no good for them. I personally, as did a number of others, got a chair 1/4 the price which was much better in regular daily use on my back and many other as well. For the majority out there, the Aeron is ideal, but based on my personal experience and my workplace, about 25% will find this chair not worth the money.
What chair did you end up with for 1/4 of the price?
@@LordZnake he probably already bought his second cause the first already died on him withing the 6months. He will be close to the price of the aeron in another 6months lol
@@sasso3844 you sound like a snob making as many assumptions as you have
now i know where people who got easy money spend their money
It’s good but too expensive for what it is and the materials used.
drawerers? lol
It’s a shame that the base of the chair is now made of plastic on most variants. From personal experience it will sag over time making it impossible to even drag the chair over low pile carpet. For such an expensive item this is unacceptable. Herman Miller is refusing to fix this problem under warranty.
I agree, its a shame. But they don't cover the replacement of the base?
there are steel versions. I personally had plastic one delivered to me but it turned out to be warped, so I sent it back and the store provided me with a temporal replacement (the steel one) while I wait for my new aeron. I don't really like the steel version because it's heavier and I constantly hit my ankles on the base and that's much more painful than hitting a plastic base.
It looks cheap and not that of a big deal really.
You’re sitting on an ikea chair right now go away
@@maco34576 🥱🥱
Not worth what they charge for it . I buy from renoued company but no service no one is getting solve the problem since two months so I suggest don’t go with this
Embody is better.
All of you are crazy and have way to much money to spend this much on a chair.
When you use it 8-10+ hours per day it can be worth the investment and can be considered a work tool, as much as a laptop, additional screens etc.... Except you have to change your laptop every couple of years while you can keep this one for more than 15+ years.
Usually you want (when you can afford it) to invest into everything that connects you to the ground:
- a good bed and mattress
- shoes
- tires for car/bicycle
- working chair
This chair is good and forces you to have a proper posture. Can help avoiding lower back pain later.
those chairs come with a 12 year warranty on all parts. so it costs u ruffly 125 bucks per year if u go with a fully loaded Aeron in graphite color. Doesnt sound so bad all of a sudden or does it?
Great chair, but just like Thor's hammer not everyone is worthy.
No padding, no buy
It's mesh lol, it doesn't need padding.
@@StardustLegacyFighter It's uncomfortable over long periods.
@@maulcs nope, its total comfortable. I am literally sitting 10h in it every day and it is just perfect, especially in the summer, you don't sweat because of the mesh and its at the same time still pretty comfy.
Joke retail prices ok at half price or less.
My office chair cost £250 with discounts had it over 10 years still works well for long hours in use.
Price of all chairs these days is pathetic rip off in the UK rather keep using my old chair thanks.
overrated
scrub.
i have the remastered size B. 5' 10" / 160 lbs...... tip go buy an amia by steelcase.
aeron pros:
-front tilt function
-floaty feeling but the novelty of it doesnt last
-relieved my back issues somewhat
aeron cons:
-tight hips
-blood circulation cut off in my legs after about 3 days of daily continual use. it'll make me limp sometimes
-feels like im being pushed out of the chair with the lowest lumbar setting
-butt slides forward constantly. gotta constantly push my back against to feel in good posture.
-top of frame touches back
-butt feels flat after a years use
-its good for about 30 minutes
i kept it so when my back feels out of whack i'll use it for an hour then go back to my amia. aeron is the chair i wanna love but cant.
final verdict- C
you should not be touching the frame, seems like you have a wrong sized chair.
But honestly I am constantly switching between aeron and sayl at the moment. Partially due to butt flatness issues and to the fact that I cannot set the height right, it always feels somewhet awkward. I am a little bit smaller than you
I'm around 5' 11" and I went for the size C, as the Mirra 2 I got before had a small seat pan. I don't have any of the issues you've listed under cons, I can sit on it for hours without any pain. Some of these issues seem to be the way you're sitting in the chair, I've never felt the sensation of the Aeron cutting my leg circulation or pushing me out of the seat.
@@LostStylus I don't get what this butt flatness issue is? Has that got something to do with the mesh sagging or feeling like your ass is going numb? My butt feels perfectly fine after using the Aeron, and my butt isn't small lol.
I have an Amia and was thinking about getting this chair.. I've been using the Amia for almost 3 months now and my butt hurts everyday sitting on it.
@@TerabyteHero aeron is not gonna help. It’s firm mesh that tightens as you sit on it. There’s a mattress company called purple that sells seat pads. I recommend the “double” version of their line of seat pads
