    Im knitting dungarees for 0-6 mths and Ive just made an increase but I did it differently and I can see a hole. Grrr! Will have to use your method for the other leg of the dungarees. Thank you.

      Sounds good! The single different shaping won't matter - with baby clothes it's usually thinner yarn anyway, which won't show it. Think how many stitches you're making which aren't making a small hole - that's brilliant non-holey dungarees! Happy knitting 🧶

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  3 года назад +1

      I’d go for the make one option most times as it doesn’t leave a small thread of yarn over the front over the stitch as you get with pfb. It will depend on which side is ‘right’ but the make one will appear almost invisible. Happy knitting 🧶

    I was doing so well trying to knit a tiny clanger but I’m stuck on this stitch. I don’t understand this video. I understand the make 1 on a knit row but not this one. I’m sure I’ve seen a different method. I’m so confused! Is there an easier way?

    • @KnitWithHannah

      You can use a different method if you find that more helpful. Sometimes tutorials don't quite compute for me too. Happy knitting 🧶

  • @lindamanas954
    @lindamanas954 2 года назад +1

    I think I’m going to have to use a method I’ve seen of putting left needle through the bar front to back then purling through the back loop. I have found all your videos so helpful but this stitch is really difficult to understand!

    • @KnitWithHannah

      Hi Cara! Yes, let's keep those holes for lace knitting...when they're actually intentional!

    • @TheHootingPirate
      @TheHootingPirate 6 лет назад

      Yes!! I’d probably be good at lace then, but I’ve always been too nervous to try 😉

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  6 лет назад +1

      Lace knitting has a great 'Downton Abbey' prowess attached to it. Once you've got a few of the stitches down and can 'read' your knitting it's a lot easier than you might think. Have a go!

    How about if you increased but didn't do anything but just purled and yet it increased

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  3 года назад

      I'd do a bit of detective work and see if you can figure out where you have the accidental increase. If it's on the previous row you can unravel one stitch at a time: ruclips.net/video/Jmups_Vm93g/видео.html
      You may need to go back further by unravelling and then replacing the stitches on your needle: ruclips.net/video/OiS2psPky94/видео.html .
      But you could also look at how many stitches are on your needle - If there are 300 then one stitch probably won't matter, just keep going! if there are 20 it might be more noticeable. If you have a fellow knitter who can look at it with you it might be easier to work out what to do next. Happy knitting!

    I am doing the exact same thing, and still i see a hole :(..
    Am i doing something wrong??

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  2 года назад

      Hi Zeina, I can't be sure as I'm not looking at your project, it could be many things, but take a look at the needle size and the yarn. Are the needles slightly too large perhaps?
      Is your knitting generally looser than average tension?
      What about how you're knitting this, do you notice your shoulders and fingers tensing as you approach it, so the stitches around the wrap and turn are slightly stretched, which would make them bigger and then give a looseness to the whole area?
      It will take time to get used to the technique and you may find it settling in as you use it more and after a few more rows of knitting too.
      Happy knitting 🧶

      @@KnitWithHannah thanks Hannah for your reply.

    Followed this but when i look back, i can see a small hole.

    • @KnitWithHannah
      @KnitWithHannah  Год назад

      Hi Kelsey, there might usually be a slight hole, but as you get used to the technique the tension will even put across the stitches around the m1 and it will be less as less. You’ll also more likely find a while if the yarn isn’t stretchy - like in cotton or bamboo yarns.
      Happy knitting 🧶
