Great video Jason. You need to get the Flashpoint wheeled base. Takes away all the high c-stand legs. Very stable. It’s like $69. I rarely leave B&H… this is one of the times.
Great work as usual! Did you have the pre-shoot setting off? If so, was it because it affects the firing of the strobe? I really liked the natural light shots by the wrought iron gate 🔥. The model did a fantastic job and must have soles of leather on her feet to be able to jump off the bench. It was cute to hear her “really?” every time you complimented her poses, so humble. Looking forward to more R5ii work. Ft. Sam? 🤭 C’mon, man 😂😂😂
@@3-piece129 lol ft Sam. It was a brain fog! lol. No pre shoot for these. Just pretty much a few adjustments to the camera out of the box and then this session.
How do you like those casters for the c-stand? I'm a dance photographer as well and have to just weigh my stand down with an insane amount of weight. If the wind kicks up does it just kind of start rolling so you can catch it in time? I'd rather not have to carry an extra 45 lbs of weight with me if I don't have to.
@@bobrob8839 so the casters are great! I love them especially for flat surfaces. Makes rolling around downtown and riverwalk areas a breeze. They have locks so you can lock them down but it’s more too heavy. So wind is still an issue. I don’t like carrying sandbags either. Sometimes I use the extension head if it’s windy, other times, I place the cart over a leg to weigh it down more.
How did it compare to shooting with the original r5? She was a great model. I can't afford to buy it but I don't really think it's necessary. I'll wait on your review and response.
@@bigdill_3922 I loved shooting with it. It’s a little different in several ways. Is it a necessary upgrade from the OG? No I don’t really think so. Is it a nice upgrade? Absolutely.
@J.Allen_Photography any overheating issues like with the original or did those vents help at all? I think the vents are just a cosmetic thing. Hopefully you won't have firmware problems like did for my R5 but Canon took care of it.
@@bigdill_3922 I never had any overheating issues with the OG shooting stills. Ever. I did shoot video a couple times and had some heating issues using the original. No issues with the mii.
Its something about a strobe that brings a different type of life to photos compared to the natural shots. Love your work ❤

I love 85mm focal length so much! Great photos.
Amazing! Love the dance shots! Great captures!!
Great photos Jason!!
Great job Jason like always..I love the shutter sound of the r6 and r5🔥🔥
Wow, amazing photos. Fantastic Job. Thanks for this Video!👍

Nice captures, the cameras preshoot feature would have been a great help.

Great video as always ! Suggest that you add ND Filter & stop number to your on screen info. Thanks 🙏
I love the natural light portraits by the black gate. How do you get such a crisp and vibrant look?
I don’t know other than it was great lighting there so getting good exposure wasn’t too tough and then a little warmth and contrast in Ps.
Beautiful
Wow!!!
👍👍👍
I have a question, when you count down, do you also take photos in burst?

Which brand ND filter do you use?
Did you have to get an adapter to make your trigger work?
No.
@@J.Allen_Photography many thanks for the reply. I am looking to upgrade from my old 5D mrk iii. Your work is inspiring.
@@TRMPhotoStudio thank you! Truly appreciate it!
Hi jason please tell me which soft light and which flash light are you using?
Not sure exactly what you mean, but I use the Godox AD600 with a 42 inch beauty dish
Kindly let me know, camera using mechanical or electronic shutter ?
@@thantzintun7522 I was using both.
With that camera and lens I would like to see you shooting in natural light
