Excellent interview. I love the explanation of Catholic Monarchy-- the duties and responsibilities and heritage. Habsburg's thorough answers are proof that a knowledge of history is vital to decision-making. I have read and enjoyed his book. I highly recommend it!
He is a great ambassador who cares for tge spiritual wellbeing of the ones he serves. He also plays a big role in the movement for Mindszenty-s canonization.
What a *wonderful* interview, Murray! Thank you, Your Royal Highness, for sharing your thoughts on Catholic monarchies. I happen to agree with you! A "Constitutional" Monarchy - as exists today - is quite useless. A Nation does not need a merely sentimental figurehead, trotted out for 'Special Occasions'. A *true* Monarch does not live for himself, but for his people! Part of any Monarch's raisón d'être is to stand between his Nobles (in America's case, the entitled Big Business super-wealthy) to check their unbridled greed; and the powerless untitled: a thankless job, indeed. As an American, I have long thought we NEED a truly Catholic Monarch, at a minimum.
Does anyone know his acestry? I recently made a family tree on the descendants of Charles I of Austria (showing his 33 grandchildren) and this man doesn't show up. I guess he's a great-grandson of the last Emperor or maybe of his brother Maximilian.
I want this guy to be next Emperor. I am a rich guy. If I donate to Edo the Habsgburg guy, 10 million euro, can he make me a Graf? For example, Graf von Salzburg Und Zell Am See?????
Prince Eduard of Habsburg-Lorraine is a descendant of the Hungarian "nador" branch. However, the first line family of the Habsburg-Lorraine dynasty also lives in Hungary. Prince George of Habsburg-Lorraine and the Hungarian ambassador in Paris! I don't write archduke because I'm Hungarian, for us Hungarians, they are just royal princes! :)
Do you think we will ever see a new Holy Roman Emperor?
Sadly, no. We are living in a post-Christian society in "the West".
I do. Eventually. It will likely be long after my death, should the world not be consumed by God's Wrath beforehand!
Thank you for interviewing this gracious gentlemen. The world and the Church need more leaders like him.
God bless us all.

God Bless His Imperial and Royal Highness
