    Never been a big fan of Visions, but this one looks nice! I prefer IC myself, but probably just because that’s what I’m used to, I drive a ‘23 CE. I hope to get a walk around video of it posted soon

      School bus mechanic who stumbled upon this:
      My yard doesn’t have IC’s, so can’t really speak to those, we only have C2’s (Air Drum, Air Disc and Hydro) and Hydro Visions.
      The visions are by a good margin the least the reliable, most expensive to operate and the least preferred among our drivers.
      The multiplex connections just spontaneously decide to back out and cause a no-start call, they break leaf springs regularly, the lower door pins seize and snap off, the uppers back themselves out to the point where the door barely opens.
      They go through load door motors so often I can do one in about 5 minutes. Wiper motors, linkages, gauge clusters, and especially brake lines.
      All that I listed the Visions will break about 10x before the Thomas will break one, and the C2’s all see pretty much double the mileage because we don’t use BlueBirds for charters.
      Oh also, don’t forget that they love to pop fuses for random things, BCM fuses, remote mirrors, crossing gates, heaters, not because there’s a broken wire, or a dead motor, or anything actually wrong, just because they feel like it.

    The cool thing about the vision models is that lower merion school district has the busses but got em in 2023 (last year). All of em are diesel. They've been doing a ton of upgrades to their fleet lately. If I can describe the video, it is very impressive. All in all, an amazing looking bus.
    PS love your video man!

    4:10 that's a new modern electric stop arm not an air operated stop arm. Air operated stop arms are the stop arms that have the classic 1950s technology of a wire pushing the blade out and pulling the blade back in whereas electric stop arms are the stop arms that are new updated and all electric.

    I drive a 2023 BlueBird All American with no a/c and hydraulic brakes. When it come in, it had just over 800 miles on it. It now has just over 24,000 miles. Even after going through the books, I can't find the bluetooth code for the stereo. Where do you get that at?
    I love the REI camera setup on my bus. Absolutely no blind spots at all!

    Wow a 2025 and they cannot yet figure out how to design some features. 2 different types of switches? 😱 and same layout that you used for how many decades? Come on BB you can do better. This is a complete disappointment.

    • @Bluebirdvision91
      @Bluebirdvision91  10 месяцев назад +2

      First of all everything that’s on an Eaton switch isn’t multiplexed that bottom row was dealer installed minus my red lights. That specific layout came out for the 2013 model year so only 10 years. Before then it changed in 2003, 2008, and 2011. If it ain’t broken don’t fix it. That’s one reason I ordered one. Something proven and easy get used to.
