You are right about that. Ford buried that sensor way down under all that stuff to make money for their service departments. plus you know they're going to tell you all those seals have to be replaced so that's another $200.
This looks like someone acting out a repair job I have done. Exactly the same questions why Ford is so stupid and than finding out I spent 10hrs on the wrong sensor. The broken sensor is 10min fix
Thanks for this video, you are the Mann, i have a question, when you remove the hose from the middle runner between the V, is that a coolant hose? And did it spilled a lot of coolant when you removed it, if it is a coolant hose ??
Only buy your o-rings from Ford. They will come with directions on how to install them. I did not know at the time of this video. Autozone last 1,600 miles before they fail.
i had pack rats in my engine bay and think one ate the wire/s to the sensor. Can you explain how the wires are routed to the sensor so i can track them to see if in fact they chewed the wire/s? trying to find out if this is the problem first before i take it on for the sensor repair. thanks
Hi Sr! Thank you for your video I allready saw all of them. And I look the video of the other sensor that looks like was your problem. The one that is on the right cylinder head. I allready replace that one, I reset the errors and The P1299 is still coming up.. do you think that maybe my problem is the sensor in the middle of the two cylinders head ( the one that you are replacing in this videos) Do you know the part number or something because they couldn’t find it at my local Autozone... Thank you so much!
Hey brother I’m currently replacing this sensor can u please tell me how the hell u got that tube to go back in the hole I’ve tried everything can not get it in there
Hi im confused which sensor I should replace. My problem is that engine fan goes on and off on extremely high revolution like if the engine is overheating and temperature on gauge are normal
Only buy your o-rings from the Ford dealer. I tried to use Autozone and they last 1600 miles before they leak. I had to pay a tow truck $400 to tow me 80 miles home.

It was also the wrong sensor. The bad sensor was on the left head near the turbo.

@@margaretharrison5885 Well at lease I'm not afraid of high pressure fuel injectors anymore.

Yes it is a coolant pipe and it did spill some.

Ok, and thank you for the quick reply
You still have the other parts to this video I can’t seem to find them. Just had this sensor go out on me also.
I had a 1299. I changed the wrong sensor. That video was this; ruclips.net/video/3FTSEnMW_U4/видео.htmlsi=l7qofskzTE1SeyEt

What is the code
Thank you for this video series and the follow
Up videos. I think I can handle the project. Also way to go Ford 🤨🥴
Don't make the mistake I did. I replace the wrong sensor. The bad sensor was on the left head.
@@blackericdenice thank you I’m gonna make sure. 😂

I got the water coolant sensor (the one in the V)
from the dealer.

What tube
why is Ford so complex???
Complexity is the reason my truck can get 30.8 mpg @ 60 mph.
Only buy the o-ring from Ford. The Autozone only last 1,600 miles.

I have no clue. My problem was p1299 the computer thought the engine was overheating.
@@blackericdenice thanks tomorrow i am going to run the computer to check for codes
You find out anything?

@@blackericdenice ok ty for the info appreciated
Yes , I agree pay the dam dealership. What a night-mare. The Ford engineer's tech should be slapped in the face :)
Good job
That's just ridiculous, what a pain to work on
I agree, All that disassembling for a $30 temp sensor? Genius Engineers!
I'm the first person
lol smartass!
