An intro to an obscure freeware dungeon-crawling game made by one Florian Born in 2000.
Tune is by Vienna ensemble "devoted to authentic interpretation of music from the 13th to the 16th century", Les Menestrels.

The title of this song is "Erster Merseburger Zauberspruch" or sometimes referred to as "Merseburger Zaubersprüche". It is based on a very famous text from the early Middle Ages, written in an archaic form of German. There are different versions with different melodies, but this version is pretty close to the one done by the German folk rock band Ougenweide.

I just got the permission to upload the full CD which the game sampled from. Better quality than the 8-bit 11kHz mono version from the game for sure 😀

Yes, you can run the game with DosBox, an MSDOS Emulator. In DosBox, for acceptable performance, you should set the CPU core performance to "dynamic" and then increase the cycles.
