They've been of a great background as I work away at my various artistic projects, creature concepts being among them (a talent I excel in, with my own wondrous adventures outside the Gnome settlements). Dragon here. My kobolds found this and haven't stopped playing it since, despite me telling them to stop. Who cares about Speed? We have our other Forest Friends for that and some of us even have the Luck to know a Gnome that can teleport them. The Snails are great for pulling Carriages or to just sit on them, enjoying the View while they are slowly crawling through the Forest
So my chum widdleworf and I was drinkin’ at the tavern, when all of the sudden, some whimsical toons star’ed playing from the outside. We pay our tab and go to check it out and there was the youngins kicking the toadstool whilst listening to this playlist. “Tell me where to find these gnomeish-beats” I pleaded and so they poin’ed me in the direction of this playlist. It gave me great joy to know there is a special playlist that only us gnomes can listen to. We had a jolly good time showing it to knights and watching their ears fill up with peppermints and moss! I wasn’t sure if I’d like these tunes, being a troll and all, but these take me back to the days of my youth when I lived in the forest with my family. Chasing gnomes was always good fun, even though we could never catch any, and their pointy hats are quite amusing.
I came across a village of Gnomes the other day, about fifty living in a huge and gnarled willow tree hanigng over a small stream. Small wooden homes decorated the branches, the trunk, and all around the base. Indeed, they were frightened of me, and of my great height. They poked my boots with needles and small spears, for it seems I had stepped on one of their fields of rice that they grew. Ever remourseful, I reached into my backpack and handed them a small bag of bread that I keep always on hand. The rest of the day, I dug out with my fingers new fields that they could use, and helped to make a small irrigation channel from the stream. It was nice, and we left on good terms. I think I'll go back with some water. Its so hot these days, I'm worried their little stream has dried up.

Not really, in gnomeish, heck, even in most mixed species communities outside the United humand empires nobody has ever heard of gnomeries, because things like growing edible plants oustside of your property, casting Various gnomish cantrips without a permit and other “gnomeries” are just a normal part of life!

As a swede, I really dislike the conflation between tomte, gnome, high-fantasy, and santa clause. Nisse in swedish has come to refer to christmas elves and tomte to santa clause, creating confusion for people who don't know their folklore and traditions. The way modern fantasy and gnome memes have co-opted a lot of tomte imagery also makes this worse. Tomtar live in the barns and around the house, taking care of the farm and animals when the humans can't tend to them. All they demand in return is some christmas porridge once per year

I once caught a gnome in my hand, or so i thought, having chased him nobly through the Forest Perilous, yet upon opening my palm he lept forth with a poof of gnomish magick and turned me into a toadstool and then lept upon me and used me as a trampoline for hours before he left me, cackling madly and calling me a "silly, stupid, soldier shroom", which still hurts my feelings to this day. After resigning my fate to be a toadstool for the rest of my knightly life, the enchantment wore off and grew back into a human, naked as the day i was born. And, if it please your honors, his friends had run off with all my armor and clothing. Oh what disgrace was upon me when I returned to town and all the maidens laughed at me. Curse you, you rascally gnomes, the forest will not hide you forever!

They've been of a great background as I work away at my various artistic projects, creature concepts being among them (a talent I excel in, with my own wondrous adventures outside the Gnome settlements). You have done an excellent job compiling these pieces, and it's all been quite satisfying to embrace my heritage in the form of music.
Also, it seems many think we in the Southern Sands have to hook ourselves to the ground to stop from falling up! My, it couldn't be further, as we stay flat on the ground. Dragon here. My kobolds found this and haven't stopped playing it since, despite me telling them to stop. Every time I tell them, they stop using the thing they were to play it and find something new to do so. I don't know where they found the last contraption, but they're getting increasingly amusing. So my chum widdleworf and I was drinkin’ at the tavern, when all of the sudden, some whimsical toons star’ed playing from the outside. We pay our tab and go to check it out and there was the youngins kicking the toadstool whilst listening to this playlist. “Tell me where to find these gnomeish-beats” I pleaded and so they poin’ed me in the direction of this playlist. It gave me great joy to know there is a special playlist that only us gnomes can listen to. We had a jolly good time showing it to knights and watching their ears fill up with peppermints and moss! Ho ho!
I wasn’t sure if I’d like these tunes, being a troll and all, but these take me back to the days of my youth when I lived in the forest with my family. Chasing gnomes was always good fun, even though we could never catch any, and their pointy hats are quite amusing.

I came across a village of Gnomes the other day, about fifty living in a huge and gnarled willow tree hanigng over a small stream. Small wooden homes decorated the branches, the trunk, and all around the base. Indeed, they were frightened of me, and of my great height. They poked my boots with needles and small spears, for it seems I had stepped on one of their fields of rice that they grew. Ever remourseful, I reached into my backpack and handed them a small bag of bread that I keep always on hand. The rest of the day, I dug out with my fingers new fields that they could use, and helped to make a small irrigation channel from the stream. It was nice, and we left on good terms.
I think I'll go back with some water. Its so hot these days, I'm worried their little stream has dried up.

Another gnome is carrying a basket full of berries. You are utterly amazed at what you see. Your euphoria is cut short when you hear a little gnome scream "ITS A HUMAN, RUN!!!!!". Gnomes scatter all around. Some bumping into each other in the panic. You see a few gnomes fly in on birds. This looks to be the gnome police. One member of the gnome police chants a spell and you can feel yourself being changed into a mushroom.*

As a swede, I really dislike the conflation between tomte, gnome, high-fantasy, and santa clause. Nisse in swedish has come to refer to christmas elves and tomte to santa clause, creating confusion for people who don't know their folklore and traditions. The way modern fantasy and gnome memes have co-opted a lot of tomte imagery also makes this worse. Tomtar live in the barns and around the house, taking care of the farm and animals when the humans can't tend to them. All they demand in return is some christmas porridge once per year

Later that year our mushroom harvest was unusually plentiful -The biggest Oyster Mushrooms you've ever seen! The elders never told me what happened to the strange mortals... In time I came to understand, sometimes Gnomes have to fight for what's theirs.
