      @@thefishlockerworkshop Where I live on the med French-Spanish border we don't bother weighing, but that will change. As I don't have a boat I do rock fishing where the water is deep, I have just purchased a mid-priced multipurpose shore & boat fish finder. Many times blanked out & hope this might give me an edge along with fish attractants, baited Sabiki's, sidewinders, & live bait. It's easy to catch multi-varients of what you know as black bream & to the great annoyance of the local inbreds I just put them back, looking for things more exotic. Been really ill for six years & with the help of the Fish Locker family I am getting back in the swing of things. Think the authorities here may allow people on the beach & water next week

    I have had the small Berkley scales for nearly 3 years now and they have done me well . Keep them in a little ziplock plastic bag ,never cleaned them and still on original batteries . I would highly recommend these scales .

      @thefishlockerworkshop  4 года назад

      - I tried my best to make it as fair as possible removing all of the variables I could. The findings are there for all to see and make their own minds up. :) the most expensive ones were the most accurate at the heavier end of the scale. But for smaller stuff and for scales to just put in your pocket the 25kg Berkley’s are what I’m buying. 👍🏻

    Great review, I bought the cheap Berkley fishing gear scales, just for the fact I didn't want any bulk. In my opinion they worked out of the box and I just wanted something simple and pocket size. Not too worried about 100% accuracy as long as it gave me an idea of how big the fish was. Thanks for posting this comparison. Now need to find a hairdresser which is a more pressing problem ha ha. you and your family stay safe.

    john you can get those small berkley scales a lot cheaper, they are normally unbranded but berkley put their name on them. i got a set for £2.99, weighed my luggage at 22.7k, got to the airport and they weighed it at 22.7k. that was 3 years ago and they are still good now. i keep one set in my tackle box and one on the boat. dont pay for a name mate.

    • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker 4 года назад +2

      john burgess - I have had those also. The difference is that the Berkley ones weigh in lbs and Oz. The unbranded ones weigh in decimals of a lb. So every 0.1 is actually 1.6oz if that makes sense. So they are simpler to use because they don’t require converting. 😉 At least the ones I’ve had of eBay do.

    Smashin' review John, I have the blue ones. I use mine for weighing my potatoes etc. A gardener from Harrogate uses the blue one too and I've seen him use it to measure the weight of a giant pumpkin which he grew. Since watching this video I've just got my ngt digital scales out just to see how good there are when weighing lighter weights so I've got a 2.2lb of sugar and it registered 2.3lb that's weighing it with a plastic bag.
