The second cut file has worked great for me. Save a lot of time and money. Sharpening and stropping motion until the edge starts shining. Works on both stainless steel knives, and or high carbon steel swords and machetes. Puts on a shiny edge really quick. Much faster than any whetstone or oilstone. I then polish the edge with a wide but short smooth flat rock as good as any Arkansas. Then i finish deburring with a leather strop. 👍

One correction is with Swiss files 00 is the most coarse and 6 is the finest.
