  • Hey everyone!
    I hope you love this cake. It's an old fashioned fresh apple cake that’s really moist, easy to mix and it's covered in a rich brown sugar and butter glaze.
    This cake is pretty easy to make. It’s virtually a one-bowl cake and the hardest thing about it is chopping the apples.
    It’s quick to put together that it makes a perfect family or fall get-together dessert and the best cake for potlucks.

    It looks pretty delicious. I think you could avoid lumps in the glaze if you used cold milk. I believe that, when the milk starts boiling, it begins binding with the rest of the glaze to make the lumps. So perhaps we could take a page from the old saying "hot roux, cold milk, no lumps" and apply a similar train of thought, using cold milk so it has time to dissolve evenly into the glaze.
