I came across a video showing how to cut regular box joint on a CNC and I thought meh I already have jigs for table saw and router to do that. But then I searched CNC box joint on RUclips and saw this video. I immediately thought oh ya now THIS is what CNC is all about!

Beautifully Mirock but one thing ...... most of us don’t have and can not afford a Cnc machine .... I’d love to see do a few projects whereby us amateurs could learn from and attempt to copy to improve our skill set. A couple of small ornamental projects perhaps. You’re still the king though

    Dear Mirock,
Another beautiful joint which should appear on Honourable wife's jewellery box & not in your workshop. You never know one day you might need a very special request & she won't be too keen unless of course she's the recipient of something memorable as your woodwork joints being featured on her very special box offered by the Grand Maestro himself!!!. Well done my old fruit. Kind regards.

Unfortunately my Honorable wife dispense with jewelry. She's tool maniac husband pulls blanket for himself. But I plan to make box with new type of tenons

      Dear Mirock,
Thank you very much for your courteous & hearted reply. If Honourable is in to tools just like your good self, perhaps a tool which she would enjoy using in a lovely box with all those lovely joints to preserve it whilst not being used? As one tool maniac to another, I am sure she deserves something special? I am sure she would really appreciate that. Kind regards.

Very Nice Idea and very good looking. But what funny movements are in the middle of every cut? Shaking in the air?
Perhaps you should try to measure the strengh of this yoint... Comparing to Classic joints? Do you think its strong enough for a heavy box like a systainer or its only for good looking?

Was that a wobbly bit or was the router head adaptive cutting in mid air?

These are very nice pieces of art and they look like patterns in the stones (water and wind, I think) but how are you going to machine a joint with love, which is the fifth element? So far, I believe in Luc Besson's fabulous movie :-)

Very nice Mirock, interesting to see where your ideas bring you. Your patterns in wood reminded me of this video of a table in herringbone pattern made from plywood: ruclips.net/video/HwnMvpwWA50/видео.html
