I have a CPO Style shirt, flannel lined, grey duck outer. Its about 16yrs since i bought it. I got it from a fishing and shooting shop. I've been wearing it again recently. I have no idea if it's plain Carharrt or Carharrt WIP.
Check the label, if under the CARHARTT says WORK IN PROGRES it is CARHARTT WIP, probably it is CARHARTT 👍👍 and probably much better quality than the new ones
IMHO, the construction is similar; both are made abroad, with different price points. WIP are more expensive but does not justify the price tag at similar quality
@@UrbanLadUK The main difference is the cut. If you look closely it's designed different, even label on pocket is placed another way. In my opinion regular Carhartt have more workwear look while WIP have more casual look. WIP also have OG chore coat version which have same cut that regular one, and there only difference is price, I guess : )
I currently have 9 different Carhartt jackets. Different styles and weights for different weather conditions. I've owned over 20 different Carhartt jackets, including 2 WIP. I'll never buy another WIP product. I will buy another regular Carhartt. Luckily, in the States, we have more color options and thickness options. Your suggestion to size down one for casual wear is spot on. It works with all of their jackets and coats.
I have the Carhartt chore coat and it’s just a wonderful piece of warm clothing.
You are so right!!
I love the work wear one.
I believe is better than the WIP

@@stringer6435Size up, keep in mind layers, and when you wash, it may shrink a bit
@@Diego.E.D could have done with that heads up in your vid lol
so Carhartt WIP is not only more expensive but worse built?
