I've had a Scout II build planned for several years. I'm going to build a Mid-late 70's Scout Roadster but I'm going in a completely different direction, I'm not going up, I'm going down with it, I'm going to strip all the 4wd drive stuff off it and put the V8 drive train from a 2wd Dodge Truck on it and build a street truck, No I'm not going bag it or anything like that, just build a 2wd street truck that's lowered a little bit from stock height.
Aaron buys an International to put a Cummins diesel into it... now, I will concede that the 4BT is a very good engine, but it's like buying a Ford to put a Hemi in it. Yeah, it's unusual, yeah they're powerful, but I'm kinda done with all these cross-over re-power projects. Why not stick a 466 or a 444 v8 in it? It's not like anyone's re-powering Scouts because the International was gutless. They resurrect them because they're scarce and cool. I don't know. Aaron can do what he wants, it's his project. I'm just over it.

He should have gave a call to Matt’s Off-road Recovery before going with a diesel. This was doomed from the start
I couldn't give any scout away! I found one in Moab Utah that I sold in Moab for what it cost me,! They actually drove in to Canada ! This was in 1990
Not exactly a portacabin and carpark. Large premises. 👍 😁
It's a Comanche, only 1500 were ever made, ever, and that's what has been done to it?
You prefer to see it in a field to rot?
I agree. I would have liked to see the Comanche get restored to an original.
