It all looked very good. Your collective helps maintain altitude and position nearer or farther from you.. Pointing the nose left or right in a tic tock moves heli in the direction of the pointing nose. Keep it up!
Thx my friend! The satisfaction of seeing and feeling a maneuver u've been working on start to come together is tough to explain but it's awesome I can share with u guys, even more so cause I feel pilots of all ability lvls can relate with the process and experience 💯
The 700 I find is so much 'easier' to fly (as I've said many times in my videos), purely because of the 'hang time' that is provided with them. Of course, it's going to cost you significantly more if you do crash it but, it balances out with confidence building. My advice to you AJ, is simple. 'Do the basics brilliantly'. You can never do enough of them and once mastered, the rest becomes far more naturally. As ever............ good job!
There is 100% a diff feel flying this size heli! I love every min of it and when u drum up the courage to fly new maneuvers on it, it inspires confidence cause it makes it "feel" easier to do them as u mentioned 🙂 I also agree with ur suggestion to build a strong foundation with the basics. I am a very analytical person that believes in taking things a step at a time, having a process and sticking to it 👍🏽 That helps me a lot cause it balances my other urges to push forward and try to learn new things quicker and quicker 😂
Great progress A.J. One thing I would suggest is increasing your headspeed a bit more when practicing tic tocs. I'm not sure what headspeed you are running but it soundslike it's around 1750 rpm. If so, I would increase to around 1950 to 2000 rpm for the purposes of practicing your tic tocs. There are some maneuvers that benefit greatly from a higher headspeed while others, not so much.
Man, u have an awesome ear my friend! I'm at 1700 headspeed right now on the RAW in IU1. I will def try the higher head speeds u suggest next time I'm out 👍🏽😁
@@AJsHeliJourney lol. Yeah, you will definitely benefit from some more RPM. Your Trex tic tocs look a little better but could also benefit from a bit more headspeed..
