Tombstone stairwell is great, but I think it’s even better than it looks. Kambal is creating the zombie tokens, not tombstone stairwell, so they don’t have the property of having to be sacrificed at end of turn, i think
This is correct.
Stroke of midnight, generous gift, get lost, reduce to memory, skyclave apparition, unyielding gatekeeper, cavalier of dawn, bovine intervention... your spot removal package for a Kambal deck can be primo.
One thing about the gitrog is that lotus cobra doesnt give too much value since the lands enter during the combat step

Kambal seems pretty nutterbutters overall, easily going to build a deck around him.
Some cards to consider for Obeka, Chronozoa a creature with vanishing 3 and when it leaves the battlefield if it has no time counters on it create two copies of it; basically it’s the upkeep version of Scute Swarm.
Three lands to put in would be Dwarven Hold, Sand Silos, and Bottomless Vault. Even though the cards say I tap step the errata (oracle) text says upkeep. So with just one of these lands and one - two swings with Obeka you can have a land that taps for a stupid amount of mana.
Also, Braids of Fire with Aggravated Assault so long as you give Obeka unblockable you have unlimited combat phases. Just keep using the mana from Braids before you lose it to the next upkeep to stack a stupid amount of extra combat steps.

Gitrog was the first card that stood out to me. Already built a deck, it is awesome and inconsistent

I have Plague of Vermin in my Kambal deck ready for the release. Play altar of the brood, play Plague of Vermin, pay 25 life, win. Not to mention just a cool card if you only want to stick 10 life in to gain 40 rats for a non-combo style play. I don't know if Tombstone stairwell is all that good, specifically at draining because no matter how many tokens come in you'll still only drain your opponents for one each turn from that trigger and you don't even get to keep the tokens.
I don’t play too much commander anymore, but sometimes I come back to this channel because DJ’s voice is nostalgia from the command zone cohost days. Quite calming

Obeka needs more lifegain. In every goldfish of my list, when Descent into Avernus comes down, the whole table just dies, you included. Granted, my list buffs Obeka a bit more.

4-5 turns for me, unless magda is in the pod, which becomes 3-7 turns
i play yuriko tempo and i have definitely won on turn 4 multiple times but usually im trying to slow down the game
