I love how Warner Bros has tried to remove Speedy from Loony Toons canon multiple times, and every time all of Mexico demands they reverse their decision, because they view him as a positive role model.
I hope Mexico continues to not see Speedy as Offensive because he’s one of the better characters in Looney Toons canon.

They’ve tried several times because some people see him as a racist stereotype. But from what I’ve heard. A lot of Mexicans, especially those in Mexico think Speedy is fucking awesome and they make it known that they want him back.
There has been a rumor that he wasn’t supposed to be in the New Space Jam movie initially like Pepe La pew. But a lot of Mexicans, notably ones who might be In charge of localizing the movie in Mexico, refused to open it if he wasn’t in the movie.
@Moon It's mostly to do with the fact he's always been the hero of the cartoons he's in versus being the butt of the joke (Bosco's a more extreme example of this) he's in and the antagonists in his cartoons are clearly intended to be jerks.
TBH it's the nameless background mice in the old cartoons that sometimes leave things to be desired when it comes to stereotypes, but they have been pretty easily phased out.
Yeah we Mexicans love Speedy since a lot of our humor aligned with the original cartoons (Loony Tunes is also big in Mexico) and he wasn't badly portrayed
They turned Lola from just a love interest for bugs to an insane person and the funniest character in the show
not to me, i didn't like what they did to her, she went from a smart blonde that was willing to kick ass if needed to a stereotypical dumb blonde

Restraint sounds like one of those made up words - like ballswick or cathrarg.
They made the show into an modern take on the characters while keeping their core personalities intact. That’s talent.

Honestly this is probably one of the greatest animated shows of the last 10 years. Its just done so well between the animation, voice acting and comedy. Especially the relationships between the characters.

That is true. In many shows, the dumb character at times just makes you mad, like later seasons on patrick in spongebob. But lola is done right here with this trope.

Honestly, I miss this show, its sad it was cancelled by Warner brothers as it wasn't making the numbers they wanted. The dynamic between Daffy and Bugs was honestly the best, and I love how they gave more to each character, making them all unique and special. Honestly wish this show had a third and fourth season.

So, it's funny you guys say that, because that precise episode was written before the rest of the series and the whole dialogue based comedy was decided on. Both work great but it's fun to see the difference is so noticeable. I also like how bugs is once again completely in control in the episode.

Fun fact: I always remember daffy duck and I share the same birthday because of the first episode of this show. I remember being excited for the premiere and watched it fresh as it aired.
I love the monkey's paw thing they did with Lola here, you still thirst after her just like in space jam. But you would sooner put a gun to your temple than spend like an hour alone with this version of her.

Lola is absolutely the best part of this show, and that’s saying a lot because this is a really friggin’ good show
Daffy is practically entertainment for Bugs in this show especially considering the fact that Elmer is just obsessed with Grilled Cheese sandwitches
Watch the episode “Sunday Night Slice”. Everything Daffy does is _hilarious,_ especially the after-song scene where he, Pete Puma and Marvin the Martian deliver pizzas WITH A TANK.

I mean my god just the songs that freakin' cheese sandwich song fudd did was like.... and the wizard song that accompanied daffy napping was like so epic. Fans still want the show to come back. The episode with the scarjo parody is different since it was a pilot but the bikini and suprising golf scene are cool for showing her off and getting it past the censors. They even had guns on episode. The bodyguard and the cop in dmv episode are a little annoying. It should have a similar style show or something now

What's funny about the DMV episode is that both Daffy and Lola kept calling Bugs about whether or not you can park in a handicap spot and when Bugs answered that you weren't he gets kicked out. When I took my test, there was a question on whether or not you are allowed to park on a handicap spot, and I kept pressing no because of the DMV episode. If The Looney Tunes Show taught me anything, sometimes Cartoons will spill out the truth and answers for you.
