Adam, the oil in the intake is most likely coming in through the crankcase ventilation system. Installing a catchcan stops the oil from getting in your intake, but it does require you to keep checking oil levels and refilling. There's a guy here in the Netherlands that has developed a little plug that goes into the crankcase ventilation hose running from the valvecover to the intake, which limits the throughput of the hose, it also 'catches'' the oil droplets and lets them drip back down into the engine. It will keep your intake clean, and it will stop you from having to check the oil level. The oil usage was a a big problem on particular Citroën and Peugeot engines, he's sold a lot of them and it really helps with oil burn and keeping the intake clean.
Try to get few days exploring Japan rather than being at the circuit with cars for two weeks same content like last time. Mix it up go to car shops like top secret, hks, lw, go to car meets in japan. Try to get in touch with JDM rental companies they have r34 for rent in japan. I'm sure you can work a deal with them and take it to meets and stuff. Alot of things could be done in japan beside drifting. I like drifting don't get me wrong but it's good to change content every other vlog so people who aren't into cars can get some attention
G*59 until I die Dude what's your problem😂😂 calm your shit bro it's a joke because he had grease all over his nose I'm not dissing him. No need to try and start shit.
My buddies 240 convertible has a vq35 on nitrous, it's a vary well balanced car, and it's amazing fast on the track. If you brake something you can just pick it up at any parts store and keep going. It all matters on what year the transmission is from weather you will have any issues or not
Jasur Maksumov 2jzs sound amazing and you can single turbo it for around 500-600bhp turbo a boring VQ which is like 10 years newer and wiring is even more of a pain anyway it's a no brainer
since i live in Israel and am 7 hours ahead, it just works for me to start my day bright and early with your new video Adam! its just the best way to start my day off with a positive attitude! :)
Document some of the little things like where you buy tires and whats its like ordering food cause its so different from north america it'd be interesting to show everyone!
When you 2jz swap the s13 then you would have 3cars with jzs and thats kind of boring isn't it? What about an m50? :D or some other awsome straight 6s. Or an s85 v10 would be cool if thats affortable
Adam, if your looking for an engine for the 240 that's not common, but they make parts for and make swap kits for. Go with the M45 (Infiniti 4.5L V8) Pros of doing this is that you can achieve that 400 wheel mark where your SR is with simple bolt one and tune, and it will be reliable like the cars in Japan because it's close to stock, as well is it's not common but it's pros. And they sound amazing. Do more research and there's nothing wrong with SR, but it could bring that engine to life a little more and be great content. Like so Adam can see!
never understood why a bunch of people were crying saying adam changed by taking his car to a shop, here he is helping the people he's paying to build it.... for all the kids out there, modifying cars actually takes a lot of time in most cases, this isn't Forza, and adam isn't a mechanic who knows his way around every engine in existence.
#1 thing for Japan content wise is variety variety variety. Watching drift videos with the same camera angle, same track, same car can get really repetitive. Change up camera angles, mix shots together, change music etc, inside/outside/drone footage, content too. Not just all driving. But culture, working on cars...but you already know all this so I'll shut up now lol
Honestly Adam, I'd say just take the chance and go RB. I get that you and your friends don't know anything about them, but you could use this as a chance to learn. And if you do just a couple mods, they're essentially bulletproof. Besides, you're not going to run crazy power (maybe 400 tops), so it'll never blow. Just refresh the gaskets while you're at it and upgrade to the RB26DETT N1 oil pump and collar. You can sit on rev limiter like Orion does and it'll take it like a champ.
Damn nearly 2 million subscribers now, you have changed so much in the past few years been watching since 250k cant wait to see you grow even more in the future
I don't know if it's possible, but you should VQ swap your 240. I'm not sure about reliability, but they make decent power, sound pretty good, and it's just plain different.
I think it would be awesome if you could get some footage of the drifting stuff that goes down at night on mountains like some stuff of the community and what its like
ImStarx drew the only way he was to be the one to play with a quad at a time he on a new level he was not the one that is the best team to be the only man that will be a man in a game with the new team that is the best in creevy of all time to time he has a great season in his mind that is the best way he has to be the only person who can play the right way for a new one or a game that will you have a good life to the world he will have a better chance to meet him and you can be a better brother to you as a father a son and namesake you will fight you to be the first one you have ever been to meet and will you have a better life than me and I love your family so I don't know you will love it when I do it for me you don't want me no matter how long I am sry you type the same way I do it for me but you will be the best you will be in the past but I don't want to do it for me because I no you don't do that I will be your own man I don't like your heart and you don't like it
Adam - I would have them walnut blast the head while the motor is out of the car to get rid of that carbon buildup. Now that you are adding a catch can and putting on port injection, once you clean it up, you should not have to worry about that issue going forward. Direct injection is the devil :( I think they slightly understated just how much power that will rob you of, one of the best ways to make more power (besides forced induction) is having a good flowing cylinder head. You definitely want that thing clean for your new turbo setup.
You should do a stock RB with a big Single turbo to test the reliability, then do like a medium rebuild for reliability (and a bit more power if you want) and go until that breaks. Then go from there, whether that be JZ swap or whatever. It would create awesome content and it's an experience you can have while you are able to. RB's are sick man. Think about it.
Personally, I really enjoyed when you guys were just goofing off in Japan, like visiting places (Up Garage!). It gives a better idea of the places and different cultures. I'd like to see as much or more of that, please!
YEEEESS !! FINALLY JAPAN!! I've been waiting so long for you to go back. And do as long videos as possible. 😂 I mainly watch your videos for your drifting/car related stuff and Ebisu videos were the absolute best! And because of you I started saving money to go there myself and if things go as planned I'm heading there next summer 😎
Just get on the Aussie forums / facebook stuff for RB's they'd be happy to share there knowledge and I'm sure youd have some fans that are pretty darn knowledgeable. You could start something, goin with an rb26 !!!!! You always want to do things differently/be unique.. RB would be a good learning experience for you and to share with your friends and the world. Just a thought. All the best Adam!
Rb engines are pretty much the go to engine here in New Zealand. I have a 1992 nissan laurel c33 with an rb26det (single turbo conversion) and i beat the crap out of it for the last 3 years and just general maintinance is all it needs. But parts are more avalible here tho.
Now that Skyline's are being imported left and right, i would think parts would be much easier to find now for RB motors. And since you already have the S15 to be a dedicated drift only build car, there would be nothing wrong with just building the most bulletproof SR w/ larger turbo/cam you could throw into the 240 and still be daily/street car.
Like I mentioned last video, you should really consider swapping a CA18 or a VQ into the 240. The RB is just complications waiting to happen. At least the other widely available nissan engines are proven drift motors. That or rebuild the SR.
Do the multiple audio/video setup where one is the driving and the other two get the sounds from the engine bay and exhaust. My favorite video setup by far. Makes drifting vids more interesting IMO.
In New Zealand where I live, the most common engines in our drift scene are 2jz’s and rb’s mainly because parts are so common in New Zealand unlike in America
Here is an idea Adam, put the motor from the Mustang in the 240 and put a RB in the mustang. No? As for the vids for the Japan trip, the drifting was definitely cool, maybe take a day for sight seeing and show some of the cool stuff that is there for the people like me that could never afford to travel there. I would love to travel outside of the U.S. but just cannot get ahead enough to save for an amazing trip like that. I will just have to live vicariously through you. Also it looked like the right bank of your nose was running a bit rich. There was a bit of soot shooting out on to your lip. Lol. Love the vids, and keep up the great work.
Great choice in parts!
N54 here and still plenty of life left even at 154K miles 👍🏻
Says he's not gonna work on cars, then works on cars lol
Yea lol
The life of any car guy ever... Its it just happens man. The more you try to pull away. The more it pulls you in. xDD You would know!! lol
Cars are always being worked on when Taylor is around lol
Adam my 6 year old loves watching your bmx videos and i enjoy your drift cars 🚗 thank you for the wonderful content!! Keep up the wonderful work!!
Adam is killing the RUclips game, I think you're one of the best car RUclipsrs at the moment. Not only because of N54 but that does contribute 😇
10:38 when you gotta itch!

He is just joking lol
Typical Adam... 😂😂

Rick Harrison get back to work

TRDSpecs of you ain't into cars of bikes what are you doing on this channel?
What do you mean "if you arent into cars"? He said get an r34, and visit some of the popular garages, that's as much about cars as drifting
Retardspecs
10:40 Hey Adam did you pick your nose😂😂😂
G*59 until I die Dude what's your problem😂😂 calm your shit bro it's a joke because he had grease all over his nose I'm not dissing him. No need to try and start shit.
Madmansmitty sorry I was not already there thru the video I didn’t see lol its all good
G*59 until I die // aye Gray fam on an LZ vid😎
G*59 until I die it's all good man sorry to come at you like that
Rob Norato always there brother
Why not go with a stock vq35? About the same power and extremely reliable not to mention no one does it and it's cheap
Because vq35 sound shit and are just as heavy as jzs and there's 100hp difference if not more
Supercharged vq
My buddies 240 convertible has a vq35 on nitrous, it's a vary well balanced car, and it's amazing fast on the track. If you brake something you can just pick it up at any parts store and keep going. It all matters on what year the transmission is from weather you will have any issues or not
They have roughly the same amount of horsepower, while vq is na and 2jz is turbo.
Jasur Maksumov 2jzs sound amazing and you can single turbo it for around 500-600bhp turbo a boring VQ which is like 10 years newer and wiring is even more of a pain anyway it's a no brainer
Lz-swaped BMW at 12:53
fanheller 1lz swap
Hahaha lol 2lz
fanheller what kind of engine is that? Never heard of it - is it a straight 6??? (Cos Adam likes straight 6s)
fanheller true lol
Dude your builds are always sick ! You just have really good taste lol
Adam More but he doesn't do shit
ivan espinoza lol yeah he does
Adam More his taste is instagram trendy
The moment you realize that your daily is gonna have more power than your drift car... Lmao
since i live in Israel and am 7 hours ahead, it just works for me to start my day bright and early with your new video Adam! its just the best way to start my day off with a positive attitude! :)
Document some of the little things like where you buy tires and whats its like ordering food cause its so different from north america it'd be interesting to show everyone!
This video is great. I love seeing you finally be able to enjoy the things you work so hard to build.
10:39 Adam was snorting black cocaine
I'm super excited to see the BMW all FINISHED!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
Cam it!
That n54 is gonna sound epic!!
When you 2jz swap the s13 then you would have 3cars with jzs and thats kind of boring isn't it? What about an m50? :D or some other awsome straight 6s. Or an s85 v10 would be cool if thats affortable
ProfFit 1910 I thought the same
Or inline 5 cilinder
supersiem14 as i already commented a couple of times: volvo t5 would be sooo amazing to see and they are practicly bulletproof
ProfFit 1910 no no and no, 3 different jzs st different levels and power would be sweet
4bt cummins amirite?
Get the 335i interior customised! It would be nice to see a super clean and unique interior!
I fell of the chair when i saw the title... From excitement :)
But it was painful though....
DrivingObsession oh snap is everything ok
DrivingObsession You’re so extra wtf
Always Stoned wtf mate...
DrivingObsession lame
DrivingObsession And this ladies and gentlemen is why you lay in your bed or on the couch when watching videos.
"And follow ur heart" thumbs up for you Adam 👍
I read the title as "754hp" 😅
Not far off actually.
Lol me too
Harrison Gemmell hahaha right!
He should swap a volvo diesel into the 240. What do ya'll think?
Anonymous you must be scared.
Adam, if your looking for an engine for the 240 that's not common, but they make parts for and make swap kits for. Go with the M45 (Infiniti 4.5L V8)

Like so Adam can see!
Hey Adam, how much do you want for turbos? Mine have bad waste gate rattle and I'm looking for a new set.
Try tightening the nut on the wastegate arm. Usually fixes the issue. If not check out the mhd less rattle option on their app
never understood why a bunch of people were crying saying adam changed by taking his car to a shop, here he is helping the people he's paying to build it.... for all the kids out there, modifying cars actually takes a lot of time in most cases, this isn't Forza, and adam isn't a mechanic who knows his way around every engine in existence.
2 thumbs up before the vid even starts because BMW 😍
Agreed!

I left Casey niestat for this.
that dude vids are boring like the jake paul
max gonzalez-Molina same
Dont compare him to Jake Paul however boring you find him.
Same
That's not saying much
Damn nearly 2 million subscribers now, you have changed so much in the past few years been watching since 250k cant wait to see you grow even more in the future

Hangout with the stradman I think he will still be there
thanks for calling me and all your other fans great. made me feel good
psst you got something on your nose (10:38)
Good to see that you read our comments about the RB swap :)
Hey why not put an N54 in the 240😂😂😂
Madmansmitty that engine deserves more than a 240
Tony Condor i agree
I like your taste
Please have Nicole fly a drone over your car in Japan! That would be the coolest drift angle on those beautiful nature tracks!
I don't know if it would fit but what would you think about a VR6 for your 240?
Assuming your on about a mk3 golf vr6 it's front wheel drive and makes less than 200bhp
a b and a corrado
yes they make kits for that would be awesome he put a vr6 turbo into a 240
not all vr6 are just front wheel drive btw they come in awd also.. they also sell kits to bolt a e36 or 350z trans to a vr6 for rwd fun..
The vr6 is a shit motor. If you want to go vw build a 1.8t look up vampire vw and you will know :)
Have fun in Japan Adam and Nicole. I was lucky and was able to spend 14 years in Sasebo during my Navy career.
Can i buy the n54 turbos for $850 as i am ls swapping my dads lamborghini aventador?
turbo garage no can I buy the turbos for $851 as I am swapping my electric golf cart
turbo garage No I'll give 950. I need them for my geography assignment!
turbo garage No I'll pay $955 For the turbo I need it for my sweet honda civic!
1000 I need it for my drag lawnmower
Pffh some of you fidnt understand it i was talking about that guy that asked him on twitter to buy his n54 turbos as he was 2jz swapping his fwd golf
Your Japan videos are what got me into your channel, hyped for more
10:37 is so hillarious
I loved how at the drifting event you won, you had the cockpit view and a bystander view of each tandem!! you should do that more
Hey daddy

Can’t believe you are already about to go to Japan again. It feels like that just happened. Stoked for you my dude.
The "cheaper nike's" are still 120€ here. Not cheap lol.
Niels Meurs only about $35 to $50 us here
I am full of facts damn lucky haha.
Niels Meurs they are like 300 where i live
and the nmd's are fuckin 330$ canadian
Film whatever you want Adam, no matter where you are. Ill watch anything you put up 😁🏎
RB engine parts shouldn't be difficult now. Nissan are remaking all parts.
I'd love to see some more of the locals drifting in Japan, either in the mountains or on the track. Be kinda neat to interview them with a translator.
Adam you got called aut from the streetspeed717
joes the youtuber who the fuck cares? He calls out half of youtube once a week
Do ok i bib not know to
" so it slides to the left as great as it slides to the left" gotta love LZ 😂😂 4:54
Come to Australia
Glad to see the BMW getting love
Havent watched yet, sure its gonna be amazing tho!
Keep the sr
You should do a stock RB with a big Single turbo to test the reliability, then do like a medium rebuild for reliability (and a bit more power if you want) and go until that breaks. Then go from there, whether that be JZ swap or whatever. It would create awesome content and it's an experience you can have while you are able to. RB's are sick man. Think about it.
@12:54 BMW 1LZ SWAP?
Hes Ryzee 😂 LMAO
Personally, I really enjoyed when you guys were just goofing off in Japan, like visiting places (Up Garage!). It gives a better idea of the places and different cultures. I'd like to see as much or more of that, please!
Build the sr in your s15 while you are running the sr in your cream car
YEEEESS !! FINALLY JAPAN!! I've been waiting so long for you to go back. And do as long videos as possible. 😂 I mainly watch your videos for your drifting/car related stuff and Ebisu videos were the absolute best! And because of you I started saving money to go there myself and if things go as planned I'm heading there next summer 😎
find a crashed gt 350 that has a good motor and put the motor in the 240
Keep dreaming dude
I'm glad someone is living the dream
2uz Swap the 240sx! v8 swap
Greatest King no
No.
Absolutely not
Dislike
Greatest King easy to say hard to do
Australians love RB25s for drift cars. They take a beating and can handle the heat decently well as well.
Throw your 2jz in the 240sx and put a rb26 in the s15
RFB FOR LIFE
Stoked to live the japan trip thru you yet again!
When you are in Japan, film.. EVERYTHING.
jesus adam i love your videos, keep making all of this great content for us to watch man
Crazy thinking a pretty simple single turbo will put you up there with your JZ build, BMW engines rock!
Rb engines are pretty much the go to engine here in New Zealand. I have a 1992 nissan laurel c33 with an rb26det (single turbo conversion) and i beat the crap out of it for the last 3 years and just general maintinance is all it needs. But parts are more avalible here tho.
An rb is basically an sr with two extra cylinders just go for it
RESPECT ONE LOVE
Now that Skyline's are being imported left and right, i would think parts would be much easier to find now for RB motors. And since you already have the S15 to be a dedicated drift only build car, there would be nothing wrong with just building the most bulletproof SR w/ larger turbo/cam you could throw into the 240 and still be daily/street car.
The Japan videos are so entertaining I’m happy you’re going back😀
Adam: Start of the video "feels good to have people come over and not work on cars"
Adam: 3:37
These videos motivate me to work on my SR20
Like I mentioned last video, you should really consider swapping a CA18 or a VQ into the 240. The RB is just complications waiting to happen. At least the other widely available nissan engines are proven drift motors. That or rebuild the SR.
Do the multiple audio/video setup where one is the driving and the other two get the sounds from the engine bay and exhaust. My favorite video setup by far. Makes drifting vids more interesting IMO.
Adam, think about adding an RB PCV in conjunction with a catch can. Its 40 bucks and takes 2 seconds to install; will help blow by.
You are livin the dream bro. Congrats
Ultimate street car
One of my favorite nmds🔥
Get a VG30ET! Would be sick to have a Nissan v6, makes good power on Stock bottom end and parts are cheap and readily available!
In New Zealand where I live, the most common engines in our drift scene are 2jz’s and rb’s mainly because parts are so common in New Zealand unlike in America
I tripped over something when I read the title
