OLED screens have gotten a lot better since the Vita... The Vita's first model was impressive for sure but it's not as nice as the Switch OLED model for example.
The issue with poor performance when not touching a button seems like a CPU governor issue. I'm using UnofficialOS on this hardware now and it doesn't happen anymore.
It's a nice device but I'm not super impressed. I'm gonna order tomorrow the mister fpga. Btw, your video about the mister was very good and it convinced me to buy it.

not really, I think that is the only option that belongs to emuelec (the linux based os of the console)
