I was one of David's early on subs, found Alina's channel thru Retired Working for You and now seeing the both of you on an adventure together made me smile. 🙂
Hey friend , I saw one of your videos. where you said that colombian cooking only has salt when you went back to mexico and compared flavors..try to go to the pacific portion like buena ventura or even cali where you have a stronger African cuisine...medellin or other central colombian cities are poked fun by other areas for not having good cooking. I went to mexico back in january and didn't see what you are talking about in terms of flavors. Not trying to hate just give other areas a try instead of medellin or bogota like most foreigners do. The pacific or even the south west cauca valley doesn't get as much exposure!
My grandmother was from Medellín, but I grew up in America. I went to Medellín for the first time in February 2020, right before the world turned upside down due to covid. I had the time of my life there. I can't wait to go back.
I was just in Medellin. When I left at 3 am to the airport, I wish I would have had stopped and taken some photos of the city with it's lights. Just gorgeous!
My girl is back.........yehhhhhh...you are my inspiración today, I was waiting for your video I left Colombia 14 year ago, left the country in a personal mess, on medication for panic attacks I'm now Irish and I am living through you the beautiful country I was to afraid to explore, your strength through those difficult times with your incidents are uplifting I can see a more mature woman after all that. TAKE CARE big hug when ever you come to Ireland my wife and I would be delighted to be your hosts . Keep it up you girl and let nothing to stop you from enjoying life.
Alina you no longer live in Canada. You are a Canadian based citizen of the planet. Since most years you spend far more time out of Canada, than here. But you always touch base every year or two at most. Enjoyable video showing much of the flavor of the city. Continue enjoying your travels and having adventures. Thanks for giving us a chance to see what you discover.
I'm from Medellín and it's good to see how foreigners understand, feel and think about my city. Hope you've had a great time in Colombia and come back in the future.
I think it's incredible that you decided to continue your journey in Colombia. You’ve become one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Interesting locations and itineraries, hope you were able to take the time to heal.
Alina you were two blocks away from my house in Envigado , I’m really glad that you enjoyed your time here in my neighborhood and in Medellin , thanks for showing the transformation of the city from a very dangerous place many years ago to a friendly and socially inclusive city , we still have a lot of work to do in the city and in Colombia in general but hope and pray for Colombia to be that great , safe and inclusive country that we all dreams of 🙏, big hug
This was a lovely video! I really think it was good you were in company with someone who spoke English natively and still was sort of a local of the city. Hope you keep enjoying your stay and leave that bad experience behind. Greetings from Norway
The best lessons you took away from Santa Marta stayed with you and this is a cool video of Medellin that I throughly enjoyed! When you take the right precautions, you can have fun in a place you don’t know well. Granted Medellin had quite a reputation you mentioned a couple of decades ago was a violent place and today its come of age as an attractive, vibrant and welcoming city. It took awhile to make this video and we can all agree it was worth the wait and we look forward to more in your future travels. Thanks for showing us more of what Colombia has to offer!
You’re very bold to continue exploring Colombia. Good for you! I love and miss Medellin. Had the pleasure of lodging in the Envigado neighborhood, gorgeous up in the mountain. Keep enjoying Colombia amiga!
glad to see you are back doing what you enjoy doing. always move forward even though it seems like you are stopping. remember a stop is your time to think, rest and get your bearings to keep moving :)
Excellent video Alina! Both of the tours appeared to be really good. What a vibrant and colorful city. The people there must be so proud of what they have helped to transform. Again thank you so much for this!
Holy macaroni it's Life With David. Awesome 😎 that you guys did a collaboration. Envigado is my favorite and I'm living here. It's the best municipality (township) to live in in all of Colombia but don't believe me. Just come and see for yourselves. Byeeeeeeeeeee

Keep it up, you are a very special person and I admire you, I am happy to follow you on your adventures. A big hug
Now THAT's the Alina we've come to know and enjoy! So glad you connected with David. Have been following him for quite some time. He can't have been back from Panama for very long as I just watched one of his most recent vlogs from there! Some great tips on how to enjoy the place with tours, given one might have some trepidation with not knowing Spanish. We did exactly the same in Santiago Chile, Montevideo Uruguay and Mexico City. There seems to be no shortage of enterprising mostly young people in these cities who know English and who make their living giving tours to gringos like us. Well done!
Alina, beautiful video that´s the reason that I say this channel is the best of its kind, showing interesting things and places, God bless you, beautiful lady
Amazing video Alina, as usual. This city has really a lot to offer: history, awesome panoramas, great climatic conditions, nice people and the food must be truly tasty. Colombia is a country where modernity and history coexist. Thank you very much for this awesome video
Smart, great fun to be around, big heart, relatable, gorgeous and classy. Love you Alina. You are the best. So great to explore so many beautiful countries through your channel.
Cool! I was in Medellin for Christmas 2020. Took that same tour with real city tours. They were very good. They also had some great food recommendations along the way. Colombia in general was not what I expected. The country gets a bad reputation. Thanks for sharing that with your audience 🇨🇴!
Harriet and I have been to Medellin. Alina you hit all the right notes in this video😍😍 Took us to some memorable places. We did tours with local guides ,food and history etc. Alina , you seemed much more relaxed using tour guides to help navigate what you where looking at, as well as provide security for you. Don't ever lose that smile and fun in what you're doing😍😍 We love you for who you are and what you do,. Harriet and I are along this journey with you.💖💖 Be Well. Be Safe. Alina, it was very nice video. Street dancing, street art and many little shops and restaurants. Colombia is definitely trying to change the past reputation. I am glad that you feel safer and continue your fantastic journey. Thank you and good luck.
You look good now, so we know you are healing great, I know it will take a while but you found another great place to share and keep your smile. Thank you for the tour guy you had, he did you very well and showed a lot of patience to make sure you had all your questions answered. Great scenery in a large city, happy to see out and about, you will be fine, Alina...just keep your spirits high and enjoy every step of your journey. I have to say that Rosetta Stone was a great place to learn myself when I changed cultures last year. OMG, it seems like I just got here, amazing how fast the time has passed, and Alona is a great teacher of languages, and also a fast learner in English. The year has been a magic adventure for you and I at the same time, but I wouldn't change a thing. Keep smiling, you are always on top in anything. Stay safe and onward you go!! Cheers!!! ALINA ❤ 1- I want to congratulate you for the video of Medellin, it is super incredible and that you still have a lot to discover and learn about the city. 2- I am really happy to see how you gave the country a second chance by not leaving after your incident in SANTA MARTA, thank you for not keeping that negative image of the country and for having decided to visit Medellin after what happened to you in Santa Marta.
A city with such a melodic name, that sounds like wind chimes for my ears, deserves to have coffee become the most addictive substance that could be found there. I hope the wind of positive changes will continue. Great video, thank You and everyone who helped in the process of creating it. P.S.: It's interesting that with all the sympathy of Fernando Botero to cats, You managed to find the 'Perro' ("male dog" in Spanish) created in significant year for Medellin.
You are looking a lot better now and it doesn't hurt to have a cute guide to keep things safe! 😁 I think this might be one of the better instalments so far!
I have traveled to many parts of the world, but it is not possible to forget the friendly people who gave me pleasure such as visiting the streets of Medellin and sitting in cafes, it is not possible to forget those friendly people. Colombia I love you: Greetings from Turkey.

Nice video. I spent a week in Medellin in 2019 and did not see everything but hit most of it. The best day for me was going to Guatapè and El Peñol. The rock there is a very popular place that has great views of the area. I flew my drone there too. Also there is some history about the town of El Peñol and how the town had to move because of the reservoir. Comuna 13 that you briefly showed is also a must there. Good luck on your trip to Brazil.
This video is mind blowing. I like it so much didn't know it was such a good country. Keep making more videos I will surely like them. Wish u all the best.😇

Fantastic video! Definitely your best one from Colombia. Absolutely in love with the vibe of Medellin, and was inspired by the Comuna 13 transformation. Take care and stay happy :) Ps: Music was totally on point here 👌🏼
I’ve gone to Colombia close to ten times because my parents are Colombian and I still have a lot of family there. I’ve gone to Bogotá, Zipaquirá, Chia, Sogamoso, Barranquilla, Cali, Cartagena, Santa Marta, and Las Islas del Rosario. but I’ve never been to Medellín. I’m planning on going to Colombia next year and this time I will definitely be going to Medellín as well as Guatapé and I’m going to try to make it to a coffee farm. Another city I’ve heard very good things about is Ibagué, so that one is on my bucket list too.
Me alegra ver que viniste a medellin, and you are learning the language, Colombia its one of the best places for learning spanish cause its a neutral version of the language offcourse we have slang but less than others countries of LA. Greetings, blessings and come back soon.
You should also visit Laureles District where you can find good restaurants and nice parks. Also, you will enjoy near towns like Guatapé and Santa Fe de Antioquia. And don't miss party at El Poblado at nights, It Will be awesome!
Capital of Antioquia province, a fertile region famous for its coffee plantations and its flower farms, for its orchids and butterflies, it is known as the City of Eternal Spring for its idyllic climate. Everywhere you turn there seem to be new things happening.

മെഡിലിനിൽ എത്തണം എന്നത് എന്റെ ഒരു മോഹമാണ് ഒരിക്കൽ അവിടെ എത്തുക തന്നെ ചെയ്യും 🏁
Fantastic video! Definitely your best one from Colombia. Absolutely in love with the vibe of Medellin, and was inspired by the Comuna 13 transformation. Take care and stay happy :)
Ps: Music was totally on point here 👌🏼
Very happy to hear that 😁
I’ve gone to Colombia close to ten times because my parents are Colombian and I still have a lot of family there.
I am impressed you said "chicharron" just like a Latino. Not bad for a Canadian girl, Aye? Great video, thank you!
You keep up the good work love your videos
Capital of Antioquia province, a fertile region famous for its coffee plantations and its flower farms, for its orchids and butterflies, it is known as the City of Eternal Spring for its idyllic climate. Everywhere you turn there seem to be new things happening.
Nice video and loved that you had David!
I love the fact that the other youtuber take her to a "corrientazo" I she love it.
Incredible Alina!# Cool place, stay safe!#
