Thank you so much Frank ! Amazing review. The thickness of the bait was created to push more water at the beginning of the swim and to have more of natural action when it got to the end of the bait . Great observation on the hinges to the reason why I done that it was bc I wanted it to have a twitch action also. Over all the bait was created to slow sink and work as a glider . Thank you so much for the review I truly appreciate your hard work and awesome knowledge sir .
love this segment! As a bait maker we can always use constructive criticism and insight no matter how long we've been doing it. Outside perspective is always a huge asset.
I normally don't care for lure reviews and will only watch one occasionally. Most reviews seem more like paid endorsements or advertisements, more than a true critique. However, you dissected this lure pretty well and quite fairly. The good was pointed out, improvements were suggested, and it was compared side-by-side in a function test. The best part for me was the information provided that will help me improve my designs. So, although this was a video outside my norm it was well worth watching. Kudos to FV for sending this lure. It is both beautiful and functional. Great having you back Frank! Hope you are refreshed.
That was cool, nice looking lure. That was fun, would be keen to see some more like this for sure. Glad you are back too Franco, hope you had a good break 👍
Great looking lure there! People often love slow sinking or slow float lures in the swimbait community. It gives them opportunities to upgrade hook size, or add weights to the belly and/or the hooks, to get their desired sink rate for the conditions at that time. Well done!
Now it isn’t coincidental anymore, every time I am on the toilet one of my favourite lure making channels uploads. I can’t be the only one watching this on the toilet tho😅
Look no kidding I was running to the shell gas station bc my stomach was playing with me bad lol 😅 and I open my phone and seen the video ! I love hes timing my favorite guy to watch super smart and super humble 🙏🏽
Great looking bait. Has a nice swim to it and sinks really nice. Only thing I can think is maybe something different for the fins and tail and maybe some thicker gloss clear coating. Thanks you guys.
Hey buddy I want your channel religiously and then run out and buy everything you have in your videos but then when my bait fails I wish I could reach out and ask questions. So have you ever thought about offering live bait building sessions? Because I would be willing to pay for that I'm going crazy I do everything you say epic fail. Polyacrylic? Boiled my bait please help
Yes binding can be a problem especially on wooden lures since there's always a bit of expansion from temperature or moisture in the wood. Give those lure segments plenty of space...it's not as pretty but... it will work smoother.
Loved seeing one of Franciscos lures being discussed in the detailed and informative that only Mr. Frank can do. Super awesome.
That's my my friend, Francisco Vasquez of FV Baits. He makes some really quality glides as well.

I really like the thickness and just the tail moving. Looks more like a real fish compared to bait over reacting. That thing can pull giants no doubt.
Glad you're happy with the video, thanks for sharing your work.
Great work on the lure 🎉❤ 👏
I think a pinfish version would be a snook killer.

Glad you think so.
1000% agree with this!!
Little gill looks and swims fantastic 👏 👌 🎉
That is a very nice lure FV Baits, I would like a glossy clear coat!
Good looking lure! Really nice action! Glad you had a good trip and good to see you back on YT with a Friday video!
Appreciate it!

Thank you...that means a lot.
This was awesome, kudos to the bait maker! I appreciate the critique while also giving suggestions for possible solutions.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think the slow retrieve action is outstanding, nice job to the bait maker

Haven’t got to where I can try making a jointed bait yet. But I’m sure having fun making and using the stuff I am making. Great video.
Looks like a nice swimbait
They both looks really good and swam about the same I think both would be a good fish catcher
That's a fine looking bait. I would fish that when the bluegills are spawning . I could see a huge LMB crushing that.
That's I nice swim bait I would buy it for Pier fishing 🎣 👍🎣 I would add more weight to it so it can senk down

Yes great point ! This bait was made to change hooks and weight as the fisherman please great observation!!
I love how thorough you was! This confirmed my decision and I will be sending you one of my lures!

Yeah, I'm trying to time my postings to coencide with my viewer's bowel movements, I figure I'll have a captured audience. 😃

I enjoyed the video and look forward to sending you a lure soon!
Please do!
I would assume the thickness is to push more water and cause a bigger presence as a wake bait.
Yes sir
how to repair the swim bait? Mine can easily bind each other joint😢
Really great lure. I like the slow retrieve. Is there any chance you might do your version of the Rapala Ripstop?
Possibly!
@@EngineeredAngler I am intrigued by the possible hydrodynamics of a paddle tail on a hard bait.
Franko, with the lure having that mainly flat front section, why would that not help push it down in the water column?
The placement of the tie on eye was low enough to keep it swimming high.
Still looking forward that you tackle the jerkbait,, position the way it moves, the flanking motion, motions
I think it needs a more glossy finish, it looks to dark. Maybe a couple of epoxy layers would do the job. Other than is wow, weldone
The most critical test is whether it catches fish or not!
Dang I need to send you one of my wake rats - I just can’t get the action right…
Send it.
