Mr. Chris, I AM 100% behind you and every time I took your advice it came true....I LIKE this new Swimbait and will be buying a few for sure. Thanks man!!!
Little tip for line thru: tie a SD jam or palomar so the tag end goes back up the mainline and tuck the tag end into the straw. Leave an inch of tag end so it stays in better. for people fishing close to hydrilla that don't want to run the beast hook, keeping that tag end tucked can keep some grass from catching on the knot. Yeah, trebles still catch some grass but I can't tell you how long I ignored the fact that my knot was always catching grass too. And for the beast hook or jig head tie a knot that has the tag end go away from mainline such as trilene knot. You can keep many different styles of hook fairly weedless even if the hook is exposed by tying the correct knot and snapping the bait when you feel some grass.
That wd40 line thru trick is GOLD!!! I am extremely impressed you shared that ✊🏼 Thanks for that. Just ordered a pack of unloaded’s gonna rig a line thru and a belly weighted 🤝🏼
The man known for swimbaits does a tutorial and it's amazing how many people in the comment section have a better way. Me? I just sit back and listen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤭
Thanks for the video, Chris! I just picked up some section 7 inch at Bass Pro shops last weekend and grabbed a bunch of different styles to rig them with. This is very helpful.
Thank you Sir 👊 I was one of the guys asking and now I know. I bought the 7” and will be going back for some 6”ers 😎 We have a derby Saturday and I plan to put em to work. I will let ya know Sir. 👊👊 Good luck with your derby this weekend. 👊 I know how busy you are getting ready and that just shows what kind of guy you are for us fans. You are anchoring my fantasy team. I hope that you found em and can crack em in the Classic. I will be watching after my derb. Go get em 😎
Man I've been watching you on TV and your videos on your channel and your a good dude in so many ways man. Love your swim bait videos and also your fan interactions, there both awesome. Keep up the good work bro!!!!!
Bruh! PERFECT intro to swimbait fishing. I've just started and I'm a little lost. (You should see my first attempt at rigging a 6 inch Basstrix paddle tail! Swiss-cheesed it real good!) This video will add a major boost in my confidence in throwing these things. Gonna re-watch it and take notes! Thanks again
I've always thought that line thru Swimbaits have the best overall action --that rigging is real slick I'm going to have to give that a try, good stuff Chris!
Have always been a fan of the mag draft , and have caught some big sacks on it. Just got my Daingerous swim baits in can’t wait to put them to work down here in Texas.
My order of your swim baits just came in today … Thank you for taking the time for the educational video… I’m gonna have to try those three rigs .. lol Best of luck this weekend for the Classic.. I’ll definitely be following…
Lol... I couldn't wait for my order to come in the past weekend, so I went to my local tackle store and grabbed a 6" swimmer just to get me going. Ended up catching my PB smallie that absolutely smoked the bait. 7lb 3oz. That jighead looks familiar when you said you picked them up at an Alabama store and I'm almost positive it's a jighead that a local guy makes and sells at Perkins Outdoors at McFarland Park I. Florence AL. 😂
Good luck this week! Really hoping I get to meet you while you're here! I hope you catch 20lbs on this while every other person is throwing a flat side.
Awsome video man!!! Watching you from Nebraska!!! I dig it man!!! I’m a big magdraft guy but gotta order some of your swim bait! Love the line thru trick. I will have to try it. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for providing the proper hook, rod, and line for these. Just wondered if you use the 7 inch more than the 6? I am picking up a few of each size!
I do use the 7” more than the 6” but that’s because I’ve got a lot of confidence in what I do. Most beginners think the 6” is big and I think it’s small!
If you take my bait and compare it to the mag, you will see how vastly different the lines are on the belly. The shape is different. The tail. Etc. from a distance they look similar but up-close they are not. Mine retrieves at a much faster speed or you can slow it down. It’s got a different movement to it.
I was just getting ready to do some research on swim bait rigging, haven't done it and pretty new to me. Question on the line through have you rigged it with the hook on top? Reason i ask is fishing around rock would it be beneficial? Seriously thanks for the how to chris!
Nice tutorial can’t wait to get a few of those swim baits to try out. Next time your at a gas station grab you a few coffee straws 😂 it’ll save you from cuttin up your WD-40.
You can also order the spray can straws by the dozen from eBay and Amazon. I just cut the end at a sharp angle and poke it through before I superglue it in, then trim off the excess. super easy!
Man, I need my wd40 straw on my wd though lol I’ve bought bull bags of pens from walmart in a pinch but usually get a bag off Amazon when I order desiccant packs for my tackle boxes to prevent rust. 🤘🤘
Chris or Trait my question is on rigged method #3 its a bit detailed , but ive fished the swimbait a lot this year like 3-4 rods rigged with different size , color and rig style and pick up nothing else the entire day on Pickwick or Wilson lake in N Alabama good swimbait lakes very blessed . Ok ? Is on wd rig the presence of a 1/4 tungsten weight my favorite changes the profile of the bait on the bottom widens it just a little do u guys honestly think that hurts the bite and is there any way to avoid that
Hey Chris i was wondering what size owner centerpin screw lock should I use for the 6inch unloaded version i was going to pick up some tk178 and wanted to switch out the screw lock but didn't know what size to get
BKK Titan diver 8/0. Comes w two removable weights (1/4, 7/16 also a 5/8oz) also comes with removable underspin that’s way better than your 7/0 trokar that’s gonna cost you almost every fish that bites it. Go BKK and go big, get them everytime
I need to be careful at Wal Mart and my local auto parts store. I bet all the WD 40 straws will be missing. I wonder would a simple plastic coffee stirrer work. Thanks for the video. Great rigging tips.
Chris or Trait i have just a quick comment then question about the 6" an 7'" dangerous blackback shad love the swim-bait guys runs so true belly or line through I've tried both successfully I'm from the shoals area in N AL. So yeah Wilson lake and Pickwick but Wilson has had sick swimmer bite around docks anyway don't tell lol . The ? Is do you guys think bait fuel or pb and garlic homemade scents help the swimbait bite or is it just a confidence thing I'd love your guys professional opinion . Thanks love you guys !
I’ve got the most confidence with Baitfuel during the spawn with largemouth, or at any time with smallmouth and spots because they are so prone to using their olfactory/smell

Thanks for showing this rigging styles on how to rig the swim baits. Very well taught .
Can’t wait to see you in the classic later this week.

My man!! I just got 2 boxes of those bad boys yesterday and this video couldn’t have been more perfect timing!! Thank you Chris!!
Thank goodness you posted this, fishing lake fork this weekend and went and bought a bunch of Daingerous swim baits wish me luck thanks
I've always thought that line thru Swimbaits have the best overall action --that rigging is real slick I'm going to have to give that a try, good stuff Chris!
Walmart sells a bag of cheap pens for like $5 so I can keep the straw on my WD40 lol
This video is perfect timing, bought four of the 6” a few days ago. 👍👍
Best packaging on a lure I've seen! I haven't had a chance to fish it yet but it definitely looks good.
They put a lot of time into the packaging. We actually made a little bit of a running change on the packaging too, for down the road.
Thanks for the good information on swim baits. I’m just now getting into it. Thanks for showing me how to do it the right set up on them.
No prob Bobby 👊🏽
I've been waiting to buy them until this video, thank you!
I ordered two boxes of these can't wait to get them in and use them
Love this video. New to the swimbait world and this video was super informational. Appreciate it brother! Good luck at the classic! Rooting for ya!
Welcome to a new addiction lol
I've been waiting on this! Thank you!!¡
Tip, just buy an owner hook and you don’t have to break off the blade and replace the screw pin 😅
Great video , really like the line thru tip , plan on picking up some soon , also was cool getting to meet you @ the expo Sunday
I used the 7in albino and did the WD-40 line through trick. 3rd cast 3.2 pd Bass. Fn amazing swimbait
Niiiice 🙌
Ok I've got one rigged up now. Going this weekend and try it out.
I've been rigging 3:16 swimbaits like this for years. I take used empty ink pens and cut the empty tube for my line through tube

Great video Chris! What would you say the biggest difference between a mag draft and your swimbait is?
Using this bait next week at a stocked monster bass pond. Hoping to get my PB. I’ll be using the screw lock belly hook.
Let's freaking goooo Chris. Love your channel bro. Your swimbait is 🔥 absolutely love it
Just picked some up from bps! Prefect timing!

Thanks bro, this video was needed. I'm still waiting for the rigged, can't wait for that line through
Rockstar action, looking forward to stand on the podium with this swimbait
Just got one today as a gift I’m
Definitely tossing this out for a potential PB.
Awsome video man!!! Watching you from Nebraska!!! I dig it man!!! I’m a big magdraft guy but gotta order some of your swim bait! Love the line thru trick. I will have to try it. Thanks for sharing
Some amazing swimbaits Chris thanks for the tips your the best swimbait fisherman good luck in the bassmaster classic
Great content as always! Good luck at the Classic Chris!
I need to get me some of these baits, great informative video!
Awesome video. Thx for sharing your tips from experience.
Great Video brother. I've been wondering exactly how you rig them since the Bass Pro Shop's giveaway Video. Awesome 👌
I hope everyone reading this catches their pb this spring!
Appreciate that got a tourni this Sunday
Well i probably won't catch my pb. But I have cracked a 9.93 glide baiting
Thanks bro, I already have. 5.6. that's a giant in Maryland...got it on a 6" magdraft
@@connergroves40 Nice Conner! Good luck!
@@trentfindley7212 Dang Trent they shorted you the .07 huh? haha. Keep grinding man this is the time of the year to do it!
Ayyyyy I just asked you about this the other day with swimbait hook size! I was using it on a jig head and caught some nice pike on it!
Thanks for providing the proper hook, rod, and line for these. Just wondered if you use the 7 inch more than the 6? I am picking up a few of each size!

Cool video w d forty rig Looks legit. I was wondering what improvements you made to your swim bag over the magdraft freestyle

Etc. from a distance they look similar but up-close they are not. Mine retrieves at a much faster speed or you can slow it down. It’s got a different movement to it.
Love the video but one question. Why not get the screw locks without the spinner blade?
Awesome video Chris !! Thank You !!
Holy cow what an awesome amazing line through rig!!
Great video dude!
Literally just bought these an hour and a half ago, gonna throw them at Guntersville in two weeks!
Great video I just ordered a few!
Man thank you so much for this video! Great ideas here.
I was just getting ready to do some research on swim bait rigging, haven't done it and pretty new to me. Question on the line through have you rigged it with the hook on top? Reason i ask is fishing around rock would it be beneficial? Seriously thanks for the how to chris!
Love the swimbaits man!!!
What size CPS Pins are you using? Medium or Large?
Large, Benjamin! Hope this helps
@@Zaldaingerous Thank you, sir!! Much appreciated.
Great video. Slay um at the classic.
I like size 10 Beast hook on the 7 inch Dangerous
Nice tutorial can’t wait to get a few of those swim baits to try out. Next time your at a gas station grab you a few coffee straws 😂 it’ll save you from cuttin up your WD-40.

I'm new to your channel. Your a bad dude. In a good way. Thanks for the tips.
Those blue Gerber saltwater scissors are the BEST! No rust and braid doesn't stand a chance!
My wife hooked me up with those! She handed me two sets and said they were the only scissors to survive a season in her boat and well, she was right!!
I appreciate the tips really help out
Man, I need my wd40 straw on my wd though lol I’ve bought bull bags of pens from walmart in a pinch but usually get a bag off Amazon when I order desiccant packs for my tackle boxes to prevent rust. 🤘🤘
love the wd 40 straw rig!!!!
I'm waiting for the loaded version!!!!!!
When is the rigged one going to hit the tackle shops
Only use for coffee straws imo 😂 I did like how you used a little tungsten weight instead of a nail!! I’m using that method for now on!!
Awesome content!!!
The weight in the belly of the inline, very nice
when will you be back at Clear Lake?
Definitely going to try that WD-40 line through, until the loaded version of the Daingerous swim baits are released that is.
Any possibility of a 4 1/2 or 5" Loaded and/or Unloaded happening?
So, use an Owner Beast? But also, what are those shades my man?
Pit Vipers.
Great Stuff!
Chris have you ever thrown a DRT Ghost swimbait?
Have you ever tried drift wood custom baits super 8 hook on your swim baits.
Right on , thanks Chris. - shared to 613BASS'N 😎

Why this? Just curious?
Thanks
are you gonna make like a 9inch glide bait?
Great info Chris. Thx.
🙏👊🏽
What about putting a stinger treble on a weighted swimbait hook? Is it even necessary?
Hey Chris i was wondering what size owner centerpin screw lock should I use for the 6inch unloaded version i was going to pick up some tk178 and wanted to switch out the screw lock but didn't know what size to get
No BKK Titan hooks on these?? Are you fishing braid to leader or straight flourocarbon?
What treble hook specifically would you use to skip docks with the 7" as a line through? Like a trokar 2x wire round bend?
Great Video
What happens when you fish the line-through style with a 1/2oz tungsten weight out front? Wouldn’t that get it deeper and not affect the action?
When does the one with the line through magnet for a top flipping hook come out?
Would coffee stirrers work for the line through or are they too thin?
Great video thanks for sharing.
BKK Titan diver 8/0. Comes w two removable weights (1/4, 7/16 also a 5/8oz) also comes with removable underspin that’s way better than your 7/0 trokar that’s gonna cost you almost every fish that bites it. Go BKK and go big, get them everytime
When will your loaded version come out bro I can’t seem to find out thanks
They are out. Check here bit.ly/LoadedSwimbait
@@Zaldaingerous ordered 4 thanks can’t wait to chunk them

Will coffee straws work?

I need to be careful at Wal Mart and my local auto parts store. I bet all the WD 40 straws will be missing. I wonder would a simple plastic coffee stirrer work. Thanks for the video. Great rigging tips.
Can you make version that is loaded with a bottom hook like the magdraft.
It’s always a possibility to do it just so people have an option
would owner Beast hook also be a size 7?
