from my understanding, kylie's dress was an homage to the person who made it. it was the last piece they made before they passed away

edit: now that I think about it that is so beautiful, she knew ppl would shit on her dress and make all sorts if comments, but to pay her respects to one if the most impactful designers in the industry... she wore it, and she wore it with pride ;)
Yes I search Virgil online. So sad he passed away of Cancer and he secretly had it for 2 years.
But still the fits doesn't match belong the theme. If she wore it at grammy or other event, im pretty sure she would slay with the looks

I feel like Virgil passing is a good excuse to wear. It was strange that other people don’t follow the theme

It was so excited that this year theme was gilded age glamour, my expectations was corset amazing silk fabric ( they did not understand the assignment at all) majority need a prefer history recap it was sad
All that was needed was ten or fifteen minutes of research for something basic. They could have done so much more.

The looks this year were pretty weird. Shawn Mendes looked like a king vampire😅🤣 I loved Emma Stone's simple white dress. It was the best alongside Blake Lively's beautiful dress. I also loved Jacob Elordi's simple suit with embelishment decorations. Dove Cameron's makeup was beautiful but her dress looked a little like she was Max Steel's wife😅🤣 Cara Delvingue was pretty elegant and gorgeous!💗 But those are just based of my perception, Im no expert on fashion 😅

first thought when I saw Shawn was Doctor strange but in a good way! he looks sooooo good. I actually love sebs outfit but hey not everyone can have the same opinion and I respect that.
I know people are gonna hype Sebastian/defend him ‘cause he’s one of the white boys that the entire internet seems to have a crush on. But his assemble had nothing at all, not even the tiniest bit, to do the theme. It was also kinda boring. People really think oversized bright pink sports wear is edgy or interesting? In 2022? That was some Puff Daddy sh*t. I don’t believe in being critical of fashion, but like, the amount of folks hyping up his gear is kinda silly.
@@liteflightify yeah it was definitely not the theme but apart from that I really liked his outfit. I know for sure he didn’t choose the outfit so his team did a bad job but besides from that he don’t deserves the hate because a lady on the carpet said in front of him that he was ugly in that pink suit. Yeah you can have an opinion but keep it for yourself, they’re (celebs)people too with insecurities. Seb really struggles with body dysmorphia disorder what makes it even worse.

Met Gala lost its essence when they started inviting tiktok influencers. No one's on theme anymore. It just feels like a place for the rich to parade their riches. I'm glad that Taylor realised that but if she were to attend it, she would've slayed.

But i didn't like the fact that the necklace she wore was of a Indian king Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Punjab and was very expensive which was stolen for 32 years and then appeared in an auction and Cartier bought it . I just hope they would have given some value to the necklace because it was a heirloom of a King.
