You can really see the difference in Brian's game from a few months ago. The last video he played in your home league is a completely different player. Well done, man.
As always Great job... Really like watching your videos... Our team played in the APA Cash Cup last weekend at the L.P. Moose and we were lucky enough to come out in 1st Place !!! I saw your buddy Dave LOL
Hey, I’m not a fan of apa or leagues in generally but maybe try to appeal again because apa is the biggest league and they have that thing in Las Vegas
@@poolmaster3727 TAP has a national tournament as well. I have too much principal to play APA after the way they treated me (would be like going back to an abusive ex).
Josh my man, I really enjoy your videos mainly because your a big personality and it’s educational but brother we need more content. I know…. I know we all work for a living and you’re figuring it out. This stuff takes time and you have to make a living but us greedy as pool nerds don’t care we want your time lol! im playing apa appreciation tournament on sunday captains format im a 6 playing with a 5 and a 4. Won my tap league match tonight and might be starting up doubles league as well
We don't have a pool hall that's a pool hall. I'm a member of the Moose, we have 2 tables, A couple of KofC's have 2 tables, a local pub has 2 table, the VFW has 1 table, a Chinese restaurant has 2 tables. Those are all 9 footers, There are a couple of bar boxes around in terrible condition. About an hour away in an old, dead factory city with cheap floor space in old factories has 2 rooms one all 9 footers, the other mostly 7 footers with some 9 footers. It's terrible drive at my age so from my perspective we have no pool halls. Makes me sad when I count how many rooms have closed in the last 10 or 15 years I can easily get over a dozen without thinking hard. Pool is hanging on in New England but struggling mightily. I know you had problems with APA, but around here we'd be dead without it. Long story short be glad about what you've got there.
When I played Scotch Doubles for $$$, I would partner with a very inexperienced player. I would play position so my partner always had a straight in easy shot. Plus I worked it so that straight in shot left me great. I would let the dope-boys with all their💰💰💰pick anyone to be my partner. It didn't matter. Would play race to 2. I always let them win one so they didn't feel hustled.
24:12 Idk Timmy, I kinda feel like you're having some selective memory bias here 😂 You recently showed a couple of matches using that break where you were dry just about every time. But if it's what you like doing and feel it's better for you, go for it. I think most of us that dislike it do so just bc of the cluttered mess it tends to make and the near uncontrollable cue ball.
The second ball break works great, you just have to use a little more English and hit it harder so the cue ball hits the stack again after going into the rail
@@Amateur_Pool Your reasons do make sense tho for some situations. I'll use it myself some, usually when balls are the cheap variety, different sizes, or when the tables have those small flimsy racks that flex and don't give a good rack. But if they're good Aramith balls in a quality rack, I'm smashing the head ball every time lol
@@poolmaster3727 If you're hitting the second ball squarely, there shouldn't still be a stack for the cue ball to hit back into. You might run into another ball off the rail but that isn't necessarily a good thing. A lot of times that's what causes the scratch or clutter. But there are times that break can be a good choice, it just isn't a break I'd use exclusively.
@@procrastinator6902 it’s a softer break and use it on 9 ft diamond, you can get a softer break with similar to better of head ball also you can control the cue ball so much better
lol. you are up 4-1 and on the hill and you are talking about the head ball break and say "I'm gonna use it in this match". Guess you don't win the 6th game.
