I love your perspective on your Dior bag(s). You bought them in good faith. I bought my only Dior bag and belt after watching The New Look and falling in love with the history of Dior. That love of history hasn’t changed and I am going to keep my book tote and belt and use them. I do wish people would stop saying the bag involved is the book tote without proof.

Of course! I loved your video on this topic! I am loving it but was a bit surprised how much less it fits than the leather version but it is well worth it. I am just thrilled to have it! :)
The Tiffany bag will go with true navy or a saturated chocolate (nothing muted). You can also try it with light blue or true blue jeans and a white shirt. It will also go with bright oranges, pinks, blues and greens. It can also go with white and light pastels. It doesn’t go with anything muted like olive or grey. Just throwing that out there… and the more I talk about it the more I want one in that colour!

I also have Dior and I will also continue to use the bag. You are absolutely right that we can’t change anything by getting rid of what we already have. It is sad that that is happening but it is not just Dior.

I completely agree with your perspective on Dior bags. If we start questioning all of our high end designer stuff, we probably wouldn’t wear most of it any more. I do like that there is now starting to be more awareness & focus on buying more sustainable products that are ethically made. I’m personally starting to be more mindful about trying to be more supportive of brands that seem to be ethical & avoid those that don’t align with my beliefs & values. I love all of your handbags, but I especially like your pink Speedy & your LV raffia bag😍 I got the same Chloe raffia bag in May for my trip to Hawaii. I used it a lot & I also used it recently during our trip to Portugal. It worked out great for both trips. I also own the YSL camera bag in the same color as u do & I also love taking it with me on my trips, but for some reason I tend to wear it more in the fall & winter time. I think since I live in south Texas, it gets so hot during the summer that I tend to wear mostly raffia or canvas bags during this season. I luv your Fendi sunshine tote, but since I’m very petit I think I would prefer to get it in the smaller size.
That is so true! I have finally started wearing the Chloe bag and it is super comfy! I love the sunshine bag in the small size.
Of course you should keep using your Dior bags! I kept using my Balenciaga bag when they had a scandal because it cost a lot of money and I am not a super rich person that can just let something go to waste.

I agree! We didn't do anything wrong and these bags are expensive! I really need to use the Woody tote, it is a great size and it's pretty.
Same here. I still use my Balenciaga city tote once in a while which I bought way before the scandal. It's too expensive to just throw away. But it's my one and only Balenciaga. I don't support their messaging, but I don't have to throw away my bag that I saved for.

😂When I saw your Chloe Basket Bag unboxing After years of considering it, I finally bought it. I use it every day for work with a Neverfull mm organizer.
When out shopping, I use it without the organizer. Love that bag!

I totally agree about your views on Dior. No need to apologize and yes, we should still enjoy our Dior items without having to feel guilt. Your bags are beautiful! Great fun watching this.i don't have a most used bag really.coz I have a large collection n change my bag every day.however I do have some never used bags .a prada tote,a pink medium Ferragamo,3'tod bags,some lv bags.jimmy choo, Celine.....the list can go on.i have Chanel bags too which I barely used.thats the problem with a large collection.

Completely agree with you about the Dior bags! I’m wearing mine proudly! I have a limited edition one and I would never ever sell it, I have such good memories from the day I bought it, it was one of the best shopping experiences ever.
Currently debating buying anything from Dior, it’s a hard decision, specially since they now have my ultimate dream bag, a Red (not patent leather) Mini Lady Dior. It’s the perfect shade of red, it’s my most used size for the Lady Dior… completely torn at this point.
I totally understand that! It is really hard to buy from them right now but I do feel those of us in the luxury community are pretty small and their sales won't drop because of the scandal. You just have to do what your heart tells you to.
I love Housewives, too! It's so fun looking at their wardrobes. The Miami housewives have fabulous bags. I've been neglecting my Louis Vuitton Almas, which used to be my favorites. I think they'll come back into rotation come fall. I use my raffia and fabric bags in the summer.
I second your perspective on Dior bags and mass manufacturing. I would even buy other bags, so long as it's an item that I can see in my wardrobe for many years. That's how I view things when I buy clothes, electronics and cars. It's just how it is nowadays.
I love the eye candy on Beverly Hills too! Sometimes they’ll only show part of the bag and I’m like nooooo show it lol.

What you said about the sunshine tote - I love wearing bags that are bigger than what I carry. More bag on show (beautiful leather !) and some wiggle room should I get some more stuff to carry whilst on the way.. don’t feel the need to fill it up at all so do bring it to lunch especially on a day you bring a jacket with you in case or an umbrella et.c

Happy to see you are doing well. It's not a Luxury bag, but I purchased a leather cream bag (just testing the water on how well I could care for it before purchasing a more pricy light color bag). Well, I've tested it only once - I'm affraid of it.🙃💛

Thank you! I hope people will keep and use their beautiful bags as well. That is a great idea to test a color you are unsure of. A trick of mine is to take a white cloth and rub it against the clothing you are going to wear with the bag with anywhere the bag will touch. If no color comes back on the cloth you are good to go! The LV bags are so similar I’m surprised that you don’t use the smaller one. The Chloe is pretty big but would be a great work tote.
It’s the size difference. I prefer the MM.
I would feel the same about my bags as you (though I sold all of mine when the resale was up and made a little money, though the ‘profit’ doesn’t compare had I invested that money in total stock market instead). I feel it’s so sad what LVMH has done to brands they have acquired. I guess it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the wealthiest/second wealthiest person just wants to get wealthier… and the easiest way to do that is yo squeeze and abuse the most precious asset (their time) of others by not compensating them fairly. Christian Dior would be rolling in his grave if he knew what has become of his brand. Tbh, if LVMH practices is such for Dior, i feel certain that is how all their brands are treated. I feel so grateful to have discover FIRE movement and now I have no desire to spend on material things, that just take up space in my home. Here’s to hoping Chanel and Hermes are different??? Does anyone know?
So very true!! How much money does a person need??? I have had comments that Chanel recently had a scandal as well but I am not sure what for. As for Hermes I don't know. I hope someone can answer for you.
Agreed, Melinda! You did nothing wrong by purchasing that Dior bag, you worked hard for it, you should enjoy it. As for me, I'm reaching less for my Chanel Boy and MORE for my new Aspinal of London bag, which I absolutely freaking adore...thank you for introducing me to them!

I agree you should not get rid of your Dior bags! Melinda I would be surprised if we didn’t find that there are many companies that have practices that we don’t think are ethical if we really delved into it. And in reading some of the comments on posts and videos, some of the comments that those that were the most angry about the scandal were first and foremost bringing up the fact that they were paying over $2000 for a bag that cost Dior $58. Not that it meant that the working conditions, etc may have been horrible, but that Dior took them for a fool with that markup. But we all know that the reason we all pay very high prices for these bags is not because they cost almost as much to make as we are being charged. So really is it that much different if I pay $2k for a bag that cost the company $50 or $200 to make? One is 90% more than the cost to make and one is closer to 99%. The upcharge is exorbitant either way. We know this going in. So just enjoy the bag that we all know we were all overcharged for because we all love these luxury bags. And you and Dayle are right in that there are so many things we use on a daily basis that we have no idea where they are made or in what conditions. So don’t feel bad using something that you bought in good faith. I believe it was the book tote that was the bag in the scandal. Is that right? I bet many companies take shortcuts on some items to cut their costs. We just don’t know it.
I love your point of view. I hope my video didn't sound that way, I know full well I am paying way more than it costs to make but I also thought the workers were being treated and paid fairly. I believe it might not have been the book tote but a mens pouch. I am really not sure.
@@LuxPurselove like you I am more interested in The way that people are being treated rather than the price markup as well. And no it did not sound like your primary reason was about a markup. It sounded like you would want people paid and treated well and fairly as well. We all know and accept that the overcharging is happening. I’m ok with that part. But it is up to companies to vet their suppliers. That’s one of their main jobs. Hopefully this will make them be better at it.

In regards to the Vuitton Neo bucket bag's shoulder strap, I agree the strap is so very comfortable. My girls gifted me a cream colored Neo Noe bucket bag for my birthday last year. I also agree about the caramel leather trim which I thinks the color match ever the Vuitton monogram print. Jealous of the wrecker Capucine bag.

I have a bag in a similar color to your Tiffany bag, I love the color but find it hard to match with my clothes. I'm too scared to wear it with jeans/denim because of color transfer
I understand that. For denim I take a white cloth and rub very hard any area the bag would touch and if no blue comes off on the cloth you are good to go!

I agree 100% about Dior opinion. Im not getting rid of mine. Everything around is made in China. What people think that in China is employee friendly? Please. Unfortunately there are things that we wish could be better but they are not. I didn’t know anything about this issue when I purchased and after i knew still it is what it is. Working conditions are different every where. Now the trend is to boycott Dior and LVMH… if they don’t say anything then are accused of accepting and supporting. Ridiculous.

I want to know or would like to see a comparison between the Dior and the LV in terms of ease of use. They both a pretty.
The Dior is much more user friendly. The wicker is hard and the divide in the Capucines makes it harder to get in and out of.
It’s so sad you and others get harassed for buying or using dior bags! People should stop judging and telling others what to do! Dear why should you get rid of your dior bags !! You paid for them - I feel the same . I keep the ones i have and I will think hard about buying from Them again. .. but tbh I doubt the other brands are different. Honestly classic flaps are MASS produced.. I DOUBT the leather and hardware as is cost them more than 70 or so
