  • This is THE perfect game day recipe! These 2 French Bread recipes are so easy to put together and they’re most definitely a crowd pleaser!
    INGREDIENTS:
    1 loaf of French Bread
    6-7 slices of American cheese
    1lb of shaved steak
1/2 a green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
    1 tsp of salt
    1/2 tsp of pepper
    2 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of creole/ Cajun seasoning (optional)
    Favorite pizza sauce
    Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Other pizza toppings of your choice
    RECIPE NOTES:
    - For Cheesesteak filling, begin by sautéing onions and peppers in a tbs. of oil. After about 3-5 minutes add in your shaved steak. Season and cook until meat is fully cooked and veggies are cooked down. Set aside.
    - Slice your French Bread down the middle and hollow out the center of the bread. ( To make bread crumbs, leave bread scraps out on a baking sheet for about a day until they become dry and stale. Grind in a food processor and store in an air tight container.)
    - Place French Bread face down on a foil lined baking sheet and toast under the broiler of your oven for about 5 minutes. KEEP AN EYE ON IT!
    - Remove, set oven to 400 degrees and flip the bread over. Top one side of the French Bread w/ all your favorite pizza toppings. Top the other side w/ cheese, Cheesesteak and more cheese!
    - Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted. If you wish to brown the cheese a little turn your broiler back on them for another 3-5 minutes. AGAIN, KEEP AN EYE ON THEM.
    - Remove from the oven, slice and serve w/ or without dipping sauces
    Enjoy!!
