Jaime vs brienne: Jaime was starved, fatigued, hasn’t touched a sword in a year, his hands were tied and he used a sword that wasn’t made for someone of his size. Also, in the books he destroys Brienne, but only looses because he couldn’t finish her off before he got tired. So she took the chance to just tackle him. So she never even bested him in swordfighting, she won because she tackled him!
The same actually applies to her fight with the Hound. He was malnourished, worn out, and suffering from an infected wound. Had she fought him at his full strength she would have been beaten and severely humiliated first.

@@Snoopy.8613 So where is the proof in the shows? You do realize that this is based on the shows right? If it was from the book Ned Stark will be far away from this list
Stefan eg, this bothered me as well, even if they were making decisions based on the show, he should have been ahead of Brienne, as he was clearly weakened when fighting her.
I have him at number 9 too. He's a really good fighter but let's be honest, he hasn't taken on a single good swordsman yet apart from his brother and nobody won that.
Hamza Khaliq Beric was pretty good and he won against him, he’s shown on several occasions he can kill multiple enemies single handedly. Been in a number of battles, survived the white walker army. I guess his fight with Brienne could be somewhat of a debate, nonetheless he still drew the fight out tooth and nail and it came down to him falling off a cliff, making for her toughest opponent she ever faced. His resume is pretty well stacked.
Jaime Lannister is always underrated because of losing his hand. We never get to truly see him in action in the show before that happens but we do hear about who he was before. He became Kingsguard at 16 and killed many opponents before that. In the battle with Rob Stark Theon says he "cut down ten northmen before they could take his sword." Jaime deserves more respect both for his skill and for the intelligence and bravery he shows in becoming a strong swordsmen even without his hand.
We must remember he lived through "the long night" with one hand and a crooked sword ... That itself says he is one of the best in the Westeros... Bust the Essos fighters are too good in terms of skills and technique... But no discipline and lack of (so called) honor ..

My list(2019 based on show): 1. Arthur Dayne 2. Barristan Selmy 3. Jamie Lannister (with both hands) 4. Jon Snow 5. Arya Stark 6. The Hound 7. Brienne of Tarth 8. Ned Stark 9. Daario 10. Jorah (Syrio Forell and Khal Drogo can take any position... We never came to know their true potential)
PLEASE stop putting Ned on these lists. He was an average swordsman. GRRM said himself he was a “competent” swordsman. He himself never prided himself on his skills. The ONLY good showing he had was against Jamie and Jamie clearly underestimated him. Daario, Jorah, Syrio, AND Drogo could have bested him one on one.
I think the reaso wasn’t in the top 10 is because he never faced a really good swordsman, exepct the one when he fought for tyrion lannister in the veil.
Bronn is a fucking legend. he's my favorite character in the books and in the show cause he shits on so-called expert knights with his unique set of skills. he's been fighting since he was born and he's the ultimate sellsword. he almost killed a dragon
@@karlsparl211 In the books Catelyn describes him as, quicker than a panther, "his sword was his arm". Tyrion claimed that he only ever saw Jamie fight with suck skill.
1. Dayne/Selmy/Jamie. They we're all unbeatable fighters in their primes and there is Not enough evidence to make a clear disrinction between them imo. They are Just way ahead of any competition. 2. Sandor Clegane (imo probably the only one who could have a small chance against them) 3. Elite fighters like Syrio, Robert, Jorah, Bron, Oberon, Gregor, Brienne, Grey Worm, who are the best fighters of their time without having near "superhuman" Skill 4. Generally very good fighters who stick out like Jon, Beric, Tormund, Loras, Stannis or Thoros of Myr (basically any "soldier" character wo slaughters numerous nameless enemies) 5. Meryn fucking Trant
Jamie was not able to defeat Ned and did it not even look like he was close to winning that too an old Ned compared to prime Jamie you cannot put them at par with Ser Barristan and Arthur Dayne
Donald Smith the hound had a bad infection from when he got bitten, he was weakened because his body was using most of its energy to fight off the infection
Donald Smith he was noticeably weaker though, he calls it a flea bite but Arya says to him “that flea bite is making you move slower than you used to”...so yeah he was actually visually slower and weakened from the infection
It's hard to tell now who would win as they have both come so far since their fight in the mountain pass. The Hound has had some rough runs though and it seems like Brienne always manages to be one step ahead of her opponent. Example: when she rocked Ser Loras. He was an extremely skilled knight.
Naoto Shirogane Is My Idol!, I'm not so sure Ned's fight with Jaime would've gone Jaime's way. He looked very impressive for an old man while Jaime was in his prime at that point. And Ned is 10th...
ajay krishna obryn is 3 if u read the books when he was 15 he killed a an experienced commander in donre the commander was 35 years old while Jamie at the age of 15 defeated a member of the brother hood
@@majedmohmed7868 first of all he was 16 ( i know not that much of a difference) secondly were is the evidence he was a experienced commander and thirdly the fight was to first blood but shortly after the fight this "experienced commander" died leading many to believe oberyn poisioned him leading to him being called the red viper. So oberyn killed him with what many call a cowards weapon.
I have no problem with Brienne being number 3, but it should be noted that Jaime Lannister's hands were tied when they fought. It's actually more impressive for Jaime then Brienne.
they combined his talent from before and after having his hand cut off, making a sort of aggregate fighting profile for him, which is an odd format really. but anyway, by those standards brienne is superior to jaime, yeah.
@@MacIntoshMann youre an imbecile. Jaime would fuck bloody out of Brienne if only he didnt lost his sword hand and healthy. Thats why Brienne mock the complaints of Jaime being defeated becoz she was a girl that means theyre even. Famished, sleepless, tired jaime against healthy, prime Brienne
Primordial Being Drogo also had a big fucking sword is able to dodge attacks without even blocking, especially someone like tge hound he is very big and slow
The best is ser Jorah (early season). He keeps his sword close to his body, good stance, no fancy moves, and he knows how to use his armor. Jaime Lanister has a terrible stance, he doesn't know how to hold a sword properly, let alone swings it. If he was supposed to be a good fighter, the show should show it. Give the actor a better training, or at least a good fighting coreography.

Jon's fight scenes from S4 onward are so satisfying, some of the more realistic (not entirely of course, but those deflects and parries are much better than clanging swords for looks) and smooth sword choreography in the entire series.
One of my favorite moments is when he blocks the strike of the whitewalker at hardhome. That sound. And the whitewalker is dumbfounded. Then another quick counter and Jon shatters him. Even though the show was going to shit by then
the Hound was infected during her fight with the Hound. Arya literally said that his wound was much more than a flea bite because he was moving much slower and he refused to burn the wound. It wasn't a fair fight.

Micasa This list is about "Swordsmen", Robert Baratheon used a warhammer, and Oberyn used a spear (and would have killed the mountain if his emotions didn't get the best of him), spears and warhammers are NOT swords and this list is not a "greatest fighters" list, but about swordsmen.
I think Arya just caught Brienne off guard, they ended up drawing in the end (also, what the hell, GoT writers?). Hound, young Barristan Selmy, Arthur Dayne, and Jaime are all better than the 3 you mentioned.
Valar Morghulis It would be unfair for the rest of them, to go against Robin. Martin has often hinted, the Baelish isn’t his father, but that it’s actually Arthur Dayne. You saw him in the Vale. Pretending to be a bad fighter, so that his opponent would lower his defenses, so that Robin could beat him. Robin is a god with a sword!
Valar Morghulis Not to mention that blonde boy, Arya travelled with (Hotpie’s friend). Rumored to be the son of Jamie. He had a knife hidden, ready to kill Polliver, but he hadn’t expected Polliver to kill him. Also he’s part targ, cuz who isn’t.
Syrio's death (after ned and dany) is like the 3rd worst death,,yall telling me the first sword of bravvos after disarming like 8 knights couldnt pick up one of their swords...smh

They fucked up Arya in the show I really need not explain but some are just simply idiots. The Faceless Men are hardly swordsman or fighters of any sort. They are, however very skilled in assassination and espionage. To have Arya be that strong of a fighter is to disrespect not only the books, but to common sense as well.
MOHAMMAD ABDULLAH he was chained and demolished from the campaign and being prisoner. Anyone in his right mind knows prime Jamie would cut almost anyone into peices when the war of the 5 kings was ongoing. Brienne wouldnt have been a match not even close
@Parma zyxwvu Brienne was fighting to subdue while Jaime was fighting to kill. So Brienne couldn't go as hard as she might've been capable of. However, you are right in pointing out, that Jaime wasn't in perfect condition for a fight. I think with the material we have at hand it's impossible to tell, who of the two would've won in a balanced situation.
K Got Well if they were going by book standards, Jaimie would win hands down. Brienne actually noted how if his hands weren’t chained, and he was at full strength, she didn’t think that anyone would be able to beat him.

There is no way in hell Brienne is better swordsman than Jaime Lannister . When she fought him, he was tired and not in shape, while his hands were tied...
Literally every time she's listed above the hound and Jaime they exclude the fact that both fights she had both her foes in an insanely disadvantageous situation. Hound was starving and sick and Jaime was as you've stated. Brienne is a good fighter but far from a top 10 in GoT
Wait, brienne beating the hound once doesn't warrant such a large gap in ranking. Anybody into combat sports will tell you that winning one fight does not always mean you are the better fighter, anything can happen in a fight. Not only that but the hound was injured and very tired and malnourished. Even arya noted how weak it was making him stating that he was walking much slower than usual. So for the hound to be in that situation and fight on par with brienne until he lost is a huge feat. Also I highly doubt brienne would be higher than snow
"He was weak from imprisonment, and chained at the wrists. No knight in the Seven Kingdoms could have stood against him at his full strength, with no chains to hamper him." In the books weak Jaime is on par with full strength Brienne
Prime Ned Stark should be on the top five, the fact that he stood firmly in front of Sir Arthur is insane. He also help Robert Baratheon to win the battle of the Trident against Reagar Targaryan before he killed Sir Arthur.
AmazingDuck exactly. In books she was shocked now good Jaime was and he was really struggling against him and that was when Jaime was at his lowest point and with hands tied and sick
Kebab Remover Ser Barristan being old Ser Arthur dead, uncrippled Jaime Lannister is the best swordsman. Loras Tyrell deserves to be among top 5 and certainly above Brienne of fucking Tarth. And where the fuck is Ser Bronn of Blackwotah
Helmuth Ziggler loras tyrell is weak compared to those who are on this list to, except Jon Snow... He isn't that good either. I would make the list like this: 10. Ser Bronn 9. Daario Naharis 8. Jorah Mormont 7. The Hound 6. Ned Stark 5. Brienne of Tarth 4. Jaimie Lannister 3. Barristan Selmy 2. Rhaegar Targaryen (he has beaten Barristan) 1. Arthur Dayne
Rhaegar beat Barristan with a lance on a horse once. Barristan is far superior with a sword and is equal to Dayne. This came from GRRM himself. He said the only reason Dayne would most likely win is because of his superior sword.
Barristan and Dayne are 2 of the top 5 kingsguard of all time (joining the likes of the dragon knight and Duncan the tall). But Dayne was recognized as the best sword in Westeros for years (partly because of Dawn). With all this being said the defiance of duskendale is Selmy's best play (and screwed up Tywins plans lol)
Daario Naharis: You are Queen. You can do what you like. Daenerys Targaryen: No, I can't. Daario Naharis: Then you are the only person in Meereen who's not free.
karl Tanner beat the living snot out of Jon Snow. Dude is clearly really skilled and quick. The way he killed Craster. No one in the rebellious group also dared to challenge his authority. He was clearly a vicious and skilled fighter with daggers.
He could piss in any gutter and still take out any knight at any time, at least if you take his words for it. I'd also say he's a very skilled fighter, few people can beat Jon Snow while being drunk.
ummmmmm, brienne has defeated some of the best, but the hound was hurt before their fight and jaime had been imprisoned (tied to a post) and badly fed for a year, apart from being in chains. Also loras was great jouster and a shit fighter edit, bronn would woop half of the people here
Yeah Brienne in her fight against Jamie even says if he wasn't handcuffed she would be totally destroyed. The Hound is one of the greatest fighters. The Mountain also shouldn't be disqualified. This list wasn't made by someone in the know
In the books she does confirm that Jaime was beaten and broken down by the time they fought, and said something like "No one in the 7 kingdoms could have beaten Jaime Lannister"
Loras was renowned for his jousting but he was also a very good fighter. The scene where he fights Brienne was the championship match in a tournament with 120 participants. Meaning he beat out 118 other people besides Brienne, so thats pretty damn good and if I recall correctly the Hound was not wounded at all before his fight with Brienne, but maybe you can refresh my memory on his injury... Lastly it was Jaime that pulled the sword on Brienne so obviously he felt strong and confident enough at that point to take on Brienne. Face it man, Brienne is a badass.
Thoros of myr, bronn and stannis should definitly make the list. Thiros whas a beast. Even jorah said so. And bronn kicks everyones ass. And stannis could survive a fight ontop of the walls of kingslanding and survived the battle against winterfell.
Even tho we never actually saw him fight Robb Stark should be here with they way he was talked about by everyone Jon even said he was a better fighter than him
Robb is smart enough to back down to Jaime though. I think he was a better general than swordsman. Jon speech is indicative of his weakness as a person by swooning over Robb, the way he does.
Well Jon said that because he was mourning Robb's death and honestly through the book canon Jon Snow does mention how Robb was better than him in some aspects but when it came to combat Jon mentions how Rodrik Cassel ( the former master of arms of winterfell ) told him once how Robb was great with a Lance but Jon was a far better swordsman.
Malia Intikhab she's by no means a super master sword fighter. But she's definitely above average and can defeat most other fighters even if she wouldn't last long against Ser Arthur Dayne or Barristan Selmy. But then the hound and the mountain also rely more on strength than out and out skill. So does she.
Let's be real, when Jaime said to brienne there was three people in the kingdom who might have a chance of beating him. He most probably meant Barristan, Sandor and The Mountain. Brienne beat Sandor cause he was probably dying through infection and malnutrition. Sandor is top 5 more likely than anything.
In the books, during this scene it is mentioned explicitly that Jaime didn't believe the Cleganes to be in his top three; he thinks that while they're bigger, he could beat them easily with speed and technique. Barristan's definitely on that list, but I'm not sure as to the others. Garlan Tyrell could probably give Jaime a run for his money, but I'm not so sure Jaime's aware of his skill, so he might not be on the list.
So? Cerci and Jaimee are twins.. Tywin Lannister married his first cousin.. Ned's father married his cousin apparently.. Aunt Nephew isn't so bad for the standards of this show.
It's still disgusting. Nobody in their right mind would be for it. Heck, in the books, Sansa and Dani were much younger than their TV counterparts, but TV knew some things would not be accepted, so they made the incest going on in the show as some form of running joke.
spirittammyk the incest would be in there anyway, they obviously couldn't use underage actors for sex scenes.. almost all sex/rape in the books includes underage people. It wasn't any different in real life, in the middle ages it was very much like this, regularly powerful families would marry cousins or aunts or nephews.
Romans, Greeks and and almost every society which used hereditary dynastic claims suffered from incest as a way to keep bloodlines pure, while I agree from our modern perspectives it seems pretty fucked up, just bear in mind these same societies often believed things such as the weather and bountiful harvests were dependent on pleasing non-existent gods with sacrifices and the like.
In my opinion, from everything I've read / watched 1. Arthur Dayne 2. Barristan Selmy 3. Khal Drogo 4. Jaime Lannister 5. Robert Baratheon 6. Jon Snow 7. Oberyn Martell 8. Daario Naharis / Bronn 9. The Mountain (Oberyn proved with guts + speed he can be picked apart) 10. Ned Stark / Tormond
I would've put Jamie above Brienne. Sure she beat him but he was shackled and malnourished. In the book she even says she wouldn't have stood a chance against a Jamie at 100%.
IMO Jaime is right on top with Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Barristan Selmy and Aemon the Dragonknight.. If we are going off his skill as a duelist it’s legendary, unmatched practically unquestioned.. The most naturally gifted swordsman Ser Barristan has ever seen. Man, imagine if Jaime had never lost his hand - the greatest ever! I want to see a prequel series before the events of GOT! We we would see a young Jamie.
Fred L. He deserves #6 Imo. But Brienne beat him fair and square. Both were malnurished traveling on the same Terrain with a companion. Now that doesn't make her fucking #3 that's for sure. The hound relies on his brute strength. Brienne beat him because she could almost match his strength, had more refined skills, and was younger. In effect she nullified all of the hounds advantages.
Fair and Square?? the hound was fighting off an infection that was slowing him down(as stated by Arya) and possibly weakening him. they were no where near the same physical condition at the time. the Hound had a severe handicap which is why Brienne won
Actually the excuse that he was infected doesn't count. If you remember their fight the Hound lost relatively easily in the sword fight against Brienne because Brienne is just superior as a swordfighter. He then tried to make the duel a dog fight where he would have a decent chance and probably win but his infection had weakened him and deteriorated his strength and stamina.
Breinne was not malnurished, and the hound had an infected wound making him far slower and weaker than usual not to mention brienne was using the lighter valyerian steel
Personal top 10 10: Ned Stark 9:Jorah Mormont 8:Syrio Forel 7: Dario Naharis 6: Jon Snow 5: Jaime Lannister 4: The Hound 3: Brienne 2: Bronn 1: Arthur dayne
Aizen- Sama I would say he's dead but they Have dead Characters on this list. HUH I think Watchmojo just forgot about him cause he wasn't in the show much
Brienne shouldn’t even be on the list she only beat Jamie and Sandor because they were both injured. Jamie had his hands tied was injured and was weak from being prisoner. Sandor was injured and as Arya pointed out because of it he was walking a lot slower than usual because of it and she had valyrian steel.
in the books brienne doesnt fight sandor, because obviously he will drestroy her, she beat jaime just because he was tied and tired, and she beat loras just because they are using training weapons and she use her wieght, in a real fight loras would kill her ten times before she could come close to him, the only real fight than she wins is againt some bloody mummers and rorge
@Majormarsbar Nope, since GRRM himself has admitted that Barristan and Arthur Dayne are on the same lvl skill wise, but because of Daynes sword, Dayne has to slight edge. Without the Sword, Barristan is better than Dayne.
"Brienne remembered her fight with Jaime Lannister in the woods. It had been all that she could do to keep his blade at bay. He was weak from his imprisonment, and chained at the wrists. No knight in the Seven Kingdoms could have stood against him at his full strength, with no chains to hamper him. Jaime had done many wicked things, but the man could fight! His maiming had been monstrously cruel. It was one thing to slay a lion, another to hack his paw off and leave him broken and bewildered." -Brienne, A Feast For Crows
@@manishkumardivekar4836 you might be mistaken. Stefan eg, this bothered me as well, even if they were making decisions based on the show, he should have been ahead of Brienne, as he was clearly weakened when fighting her.
@@quiquitohernandez7977 how was he weakened with all the chickens he ate 😂
Yeah the guy guy went toe to toe with the mountain and as we know from the show, Jaime fears the mountain especially after he lost his hand.

But no discipline and lack of (so called) honor ..

filipbrza And he STILL held his own against her.
Literally every time she's listed above the hound and Jaime they exclude the fact that both fights she had both her foes in an insanely disadvantageous situation. Hound was starving and sick and Jaime was as you've stated. Brienne is a good fighter but far from a top 10 in GoT
And yet Loras is 2-0 against Jaime in tourneys and melees, and Brienne beat Loras in a melee.
He didnt win a melee vs Jaime. Hell, Loras isnt even the best swordsman of the Tyrells.
Eric Gigliotti He's never beaten him in a melee. And jousting is irrelevant.

Yet in the episode, Brienne spanked Jaime without even trying. She felt sorry for him that he was so bad compared to her skills.
Barristan in his prime would paint red with prime both handed Jaime.
Prime Ned Stark should be on the top five, the fact that he stood firmly in front of Sir Arthur is insane. He also help Robert Baratheon to win the battle of the Trident against Reagar Targaryan before he killed Sir Arthur.

@@Mathemagical55 It would be a hell of a fight though, and could go either way on any given day. Not unlike
Ali-Frazer.
He could definitely slice through Ned, daario, and syrio but other than that it would be a good fight, also I know your joking I’m just saying this
lmao
What about "The fookin legend" Karl Tanner?!
Karl was skilled in using a knife and not a sword..
Dagger not sword. He is a top fighter though.
Best comment I've seen in a while. He was a fookin Legend!
karl Tanner beat the living snot out of Jon Snow.
Also loras was great jouster and a shit fighter
edit, bronn would woop half of the people here
agreed
Andres Panimoja I rate Brienne but if we're being fair this is true.
I dont know about top 10 but they are very underrated
Bronn 13 stannis 12 thoros 11 maybe
Bronn wouldnt Beat anyone from top 10 but i can See Stannis and thoros equal With Ned stark
Even tho we never actually saw him fight
Robb Stark should be here with they way he was talked about by everyone
Jon even said he was a better fighter than him
Robb is smart enough to back down to Jaime though. I think he was a better general than swordsman.
Jon speech is indicative of his weakness as a person by swooning over Robb, the way he does.
I think both were like the same. But Robb died and cant improve now. Sure Jon died too but he will come back in the books
Jon said he was told by cassel he was a better swordsman
Look into the lore more, Robb was a gifted leader, gifted at jousting, decent at the sword. Jon is better than him, by a fair amount.
Brienne is a great character but pretty overrated when it comes to her sword fighting.
It was his time to go.
She beat Loras Tyrell, the Hound, and a weakened Jamie Lannister, she's a great fighter and swordsman.
Malia Intikhab uh...no...she beat the hound. Thats the ultimate
Malia Intikhab she's by no means a super master sword fighter. But she's definitely above average and can defeat most other fighters even if she wouldn't last long against Ser Arthur Dayne or Barristan Selmy. But then the hound and the mountain also rely more on strength than out and out skill. So does she.
she only beat the hound and Jamie when they were both weak!
Well you guys missed HotPie, the first of his name, protector of recipes and lord of the gravies!
Himant Shetty and Sam
Here's my opinion:
15.Robb Stark
14.Loras Tyrell
13.Khal Drogo
12.Grey Worm
11.Bronn
10.Robert Baratheon
9.Sandor Clegane
8.Qhorin Halfhand
7.Jorah Mormont
6.Brienne of Tarth
5.Jon Snow
4.Ned Stark
3.Oberyn Martell
2.Barristan Selmy
1.Arthur Dayne/Syrio Forel
Where is Jaime Lannister? And Robert weaker number 10, that is not a good list.
Ethan Peach THANK YOU.
Ethan Peach i think the viper deserve a place here than,he beat so easy the montain, only that confetion saved the montain
Jamie did not see Oberyn fight before, re-watch the episode where he observes the fight with Gregor. He was clearly impressed.
In the books, during this scene it is mentioned explicitly that Jaime didn't believe the Cleganes to be in his top three; he thinks that while they're bigger, he could beat them easily with speed and technique. Barristan's definitely on that list, but I'm not sure as to the others. Garlan Tyrell could probably give Jaime a run for his money, but I'm not so sure Jaime's aware of his skill, so he might not be on the list.
and jaime only lost to her because he was a prisoner for like a year before the fight, so he was malnurished and wounded
dany going to get jon's sword soon
Dany's Jon's aunt lol
Jon snow is underrated
FINESSE BULL thank u .. I like his fights
FINESSE BULL Overrated*
Karl Tanner is better than him
Emad AB he fights dirty. and he also had 2 shortswords so thats an advantage
bootzy wootzy He had two knives
In my opinion, from everything I've read / watched
1. Arthur Dayne
2. Barristan Selmy
3. Khal Drogo
4. Jaime Lannister
5. Robert Baratheon
6. Jon Snow
7. Oberyn Martell
8. Daario Naharis / Bronn
9. The Mountain (Oberyn proved with guts + speed he can be picked apart)
10. Ned Stark / Tormond
Yup i agree quite a bit with your list rather than the video
The hound would easily beat jon snow
Where's Arya?
A.N.D. Hahahaha funny
A.N.D. she wasn't that good when this video was made
Niko Noah bro the video was made in 2017, she had a duel with Brianne.
Id consider arya as an assassin due to her time im the house of the faceless men
Still as assasin she should not be able to stand in single combat with a swordsmen, but she did fight Brian, and arguably she did beat her
I would've put Jamie above Brienne. Sure she beat him but he was shackled and malnourished. In the book she even says she wouldn't have stood a chance against a Jamie at 100%.
Don't forget the armor. People always bring up the malnourished Jaime but no one brings up the fact that Brienne was wearing *full plate armor.*
1 Arthur Dayne
2 Barristan Selmy
3 Jaime Lannister ( with two hand )
4 Robert Baratheon
5 Rhaegar Targaryen
Robert didnt use a sword, he used his hammer, therefore he cant be in any lists.. sadly :(
Finally someone who doesn’t put Jon Snow top 5
@@byjordi2185 i was gonna say that
@@byjordi2185 yeah but he was a beast with itt
@@jaehohansolo139 Jon is surely one of the best swordsmen but it would be a shame listing him with those
IMO Jaime is right on top with Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Barristan Selmy and Aemon the Dragonknight..
Come on we all know it ( Jaqen H’ghar ) a man needs a name
"even now i could cut through the five of you like carving a cake" best
sentence
"Now it begins" -Ser Arthur Dayne. and ned respond is the best "noh nowit tends"
Robb Stark could have been somewhere in the list if he had more fighting scenes because Jon once admitted that Robb is better than him.
Thanks
The Hound #9????
In effect she nullified all of the hounds advantages.
the show added their fight, so in the books (where this list should draw from) its not decided
You know nothing, WatchMojo.
First - Oberyn Martell
johnnyXx4321 In the book, Oberon Martell was actually just as good with a sword as he was with a spear!😈😈
3rays Still no chance against Ser Arthur Dayne
Ser Barristan Selmy is probably the only person in GoT that could match Arthur Dayne in a fair fight.....
Yes, he should be here considering they included Daario who's not a swordsman.
We haven’t seen him with a sword
Personal top 10
10: Ned Stark
9:Jorah Mormont
8:Syrio Forel
7: Dario Naharis
6: Jon Snow
5: Jaime Lannister
4: The Hound
3: Brienne
2: Bronn
1: Arthur dayne
Brienne and bron too high
Khal drogo???😒
:-
Aizen- Sama I would say he's dead but they Have dead Characters on this list. HUH I think Watchmojo just forgot about him cause he wasn't in the show much
omar Baraka we never saw him swordfighting.
Daenerys killed Drogo in 1 on 1 combat with a pillow
Dothrakis wield arakhs, not swords
Not having Bronn makes this list have no credibility.
Sam the slayer is defenetly number one.
People need to put respect on my boys Sams name
"Samwell Tarly, the lover of women, slayer of white walkers"
Syrio Forrel on number 6 , The guy was a joke , the Hound said so. The Hound was easily capable to take him down. The hound made it clear.
Yes, and the Hound is ALWAYS 100% correct in his judgements of people, ESPECIALLY when it's people he's never even met. 😁
V The Villain with the Valyrian steel through you have to remember it’s not the sword that’s good it’s the person that wields it.
in the books brienne doesnt fight sandor, because obviously he will drestroy her, she beat jaime just because he was tied and tired, and she beat loras just because they are using training weapons and she use her wieght, in a real fight loras would kill her ten times before she could come close to him, the only real fight than she wins is againt some bloody mummers and rorge
@Majormarsbar
Nope, since GRRM himself has admitted that Barristan and Arthur Dayne are on the same lvl skill wise, but because of Daynes sword, Dayne has to slight edge. Without the Sword, Barristan is better than Dayne.
@Nick den Toom You mean without the sword, Barristan is even with Dayne not better.
Brienne beat Jaime while both of his hands were tied up and he was weak from being kept prisoner. No hate just pointing that out.
I doubt Jorah and Syrio are better swordsmen than Sandor.
Syrio was First Sword of Braavos. One of the best swordsmen alive.
Katrazen If syrio was one of the best swordsman alive, why did he die to meryn fucking trant? (If u know u know)
Bruh, the hound would destroy jorah
Omarrr BIG FOCKIN SWORDDDDD
Or Jon Snow
“Oberyn relies on a spear” so uhhh? Why is Syrio here, he relies on a wooden sword
Said it yourself. A wooden "sword". It's a sword nonetheless
lmao you put brienne as a better swordsman than jamie????? why? because she beat him when he was a captive with his hands tied????? ridiculous
Gys the list is according to books ..not show....brienne is way better in books
@@manishkumardivekar4836 you might be mistaken. Every feat that brienne has in the show either not happened or much less impressive in the books still she is around same level with clegane brothers in my perspective. On top of that brienne states that (after the jaime fight) NO ONE in seven kingdom have a chance against him if he is in a better shape ( untied hands and without exhaustion)
@@fartbander Jamie is my favorite character and he is one of the great swordsmen in Kingdoms, but Brianne is not that unskillfully so you call it REDiCOULS..... In books Jaime says,"your are better than me only when it comes to life and death "
It's not from the books because everyone reference is from the show and also Ned is a better swordsman in the show than in the books and regardless Jamie is better than Brienne.
