The answer to Fermi’s paradox seems fairly simple, if they are out there, then maybe the nearest is just very far away in space and time, and maybe no matter the level of technological advancement, interstellar travel is simply extremely difficult even for more advanced civilizations. For all we know the nearest advanced civilization might be on the other side of the galaxy, or maybe not even in our galaxy at all. It’s conceivable that the Milky Way might only have one or two advanced civilizations capable of radio astronomy. Another real possibility is that they just simply aren’t aware of us at all. Another possibility that I don’t hear discussed much is that we can assume that an alien civilization would have undergone its own unique evolution and might very well have a totally different body chemistry and shape than we do. Maybe they could attain high technology capable of radio astronomy but for whatever reason would not be space faring species, due to some physical constraints which required them to remain on their home world. Such a species might be capable of transforming their own world technologically, but incapable of spaceflight or maybe they simply had no concept of spaceflight for whatever reason. There could as Sagan suggested be many roads to high technology. I think the likeliest explanation is that the nearest civilization is very far away, and probably has no clue of earth’s existence. If we find a signal, it might be some kind of beacon not to get our attention in particular but anyone’s. Of course I could be wrong and there could be an advanced technological civilization around 50 light years away that we have not detected, we just can’t know unless or until we get a signal, either tomorrow or a hundred years from now.

27:09 Seth is great to listen to. But the 10-hour figure is completely wrong. In its orbit around the sun, the earth travels a distance equal to its own diameter in 7 minutes. So only a few minutes of delay would have prevented the dinos from going extinct

The answer to the Fermi Paradox. There is a beautiful loving Universe many people claim they experience when they are undergoing an NDE. Long before any Advanced Civilization gains the technology necessary for Interstellar Travel - they find a way to escape to that Universe. In other words, it is technologically easier to get to that other very pleasant and safer place, than it is to develop the Type II Civilization Technology necessary for Interstellar Travel. This explains why we have found no sign of an Advanced Alien Civilization anywhere in our Universe.

@@MultiBikerboy1 the fact he made a lot of money from music doesn't make him an instant genius when it comes to High Strangeness etc. I personally think TTSA is super sus and tbh they seem to have an agenda....which is to monetise the most intangible hearsay as much as they possibly can. They are fantastic at stringing people along and producing very very meh results. If you want real research and some actual integrity, check out Richard Dolan and his wife, Tracy.....they have an amazing youtube channel with some really amazing interviews.
TTSA crap on about pushing disclosure...yeah...if it happens...IF.....it'll have bugger all to do with DeLonge and his super suspicious freinds. TTSA is a circle jerk group for muppets and jerks with over-inflated egos and a misguided sense of their own importance......they've been around for half a decade plus...and produced?.....not much at all. Vincent Najger Hi Vincent, thanks for the observations and the steer to Rich Dolan and his wife Tracy. You are right Rich Dolan is certainly the man where this subject is concerned. However can I be bold enough to suggest that you maybe confusing commentators with players.
Rich is a fantastic commentator together with the late Stan Friedman and Grant Cameron plus others. But they are commentators, the players, the real people who have access to all the info which would change the world overnight are members by and large of Alphabet agency’s, and CEO’ of private defences contractors. Step forward the TTSA. Only time will tell of course if they produce the goods, I saw a saucer one evening in the 70’s I know this tech exists....will the TTSA bring it out? Dunno 5 years time and we’ll all know I reckon.

We are looking for radio waves??? Really ? What part of empty space can transmit a signal? Inside our solar system there is a high concentrations of ions for a radio wave to be carried on. At what point does the density of ions or atoms in interstellar space fall to a point that a radio wave can't be sustained for us to detect?

To the individual who thinks humor and science are mutually exclusive: First, trying to explain why this (isn’t so) to you is like teaching a pig to sing. It’s a waste of time and it annoys the pig. (A paraphrasing of a Robert Heinlein quote). Isn’t it amazing that nowhere in Jewish mythology (aka the bible) is there a mention of Jesus or his twelve men (!) followers laughing. All religions carry this to an extreme where laughing (at worst) gets one thrown into slavery or (at least) murdered. The latest rumor is that the parting of the oceans has resulted in a direct land route from New York/DC to Israel. Jews get free passage but all others have to pay. 😎 The Nazis were temporarily released from hell and had to to do the digging. 😎😎

Dec 2017....the Pentagon releases incredible footage of UFO’s...... starting the disclosure of the alien interaction with this planet. Poor old Seth...he never impressed me , he was unable to join up the dots sufficiently. Guess he thought all those pilots military and civilian, plus air traffic controllers who reported silent flying discs were making it all up.....oh dear.

Dec 2017....the Pentagon releases incredible footage of UFO’s. Unidentified is the keyword here, it's unidentified! So it MUST BE blah blah blah, WRONG, there is no "must be", it's unidentified so how can you know what it is? quit with the BS!

    • @MultiBikerboy1

NC 687 .....there are only two possibilities here...sure it’s unidentified but it’s performing manoeuvres way beyond the level of known physics ....no wings no tail rotors no exhaust heat signature....SO it’s either made by humans or it’s not. If it;s made by humans then the US or a foreign country is fooling US pilots and outstripping them in the air. Stay in your seat the show’s only just started and it;s going to be a biggie.
