Just a magnificent automobile. The rear seat head room isn't great because of the styling but it looked OK in the video. You are a bit taller than the average 1957 man and even with your hairstyle, it looked like you were comfortable though. The front seats are where it is at in this beauty. That dash looks like it came from a jewelry store and you don't see many convertibles from that era with AC. Just a wonderful car that I would love to own. Great video, thanks. I can see that doing research on these 55+-year-old cars would be difficult, not much reliable material is available in 2022. Thanks again from a new sub.
Thank you so much for watching I’ve been in a lot of 50s cars and that’s the nicest interior out of everything I’ve been in so far =) Welcome to the channel more cool stuff coming
Dad had a '57 Fleetwood with the chromed rear bottom fenders, and a '60 Eldorado convertable. You overlooked the finely finished trunk. It was beautiful. Thank you for showing all these great cars!
The trunk lid was open it should have an auto closing trunk lid but the battery was either flat or wasn’t hooked up I didn’t want to damage the closing mechanism Thank you so much for watching =)
I hung around and watched a guy wash his 57 Caddie Brougham, It looked showroom fresh. It had everything. I finally got out of my car and went over and said hi. Funny how cars can make guys focus, and they don't bother about figuring things out. Pure acceptance. The only things missing were the 4 silver cups for the glove box (with a ferrous bottom, silver coated) The stainless steel roof was a real stand out feature. This model 57 and the 67 are the standouts for style.
Wow, this Eldorado Biarritz convertible is a real beauty!!! It's like new inside & out. Who ever restored it did an excellent job!!!👍 My parents neighbor has a 57 Cadillac Sedan de Ville that belonged to her dad. Sadly it's been sitting in the driveway in front of the garage for over 50 years!!!! 😳

No, she didn’t like the wallpaper. Also the trunk smelled like someone died in there. Actually was looking for one with a 4 speed. Did Cads ever have “Continental” kits ? And Yes, went end over end in a 51 Chevy in 1965.
thx for showcasing this beautiful car. They are truly amazing. I have a '58 Fleetwood and it's got such presence and is so unfamiliar to most people that it may as well be from outer space. Last gasp for Harley Earl who was truly committed to 'more is more', especially when it came to chrome
I could be wrong I thought last design by Harley earl was the 1962 corvette I love Cadillac from this era. Cadillac was the standard of the world, they built only the best and high quality cars with innovative ideas. Chrome put on with a ladle. =)
The signal seeking radio was called a "Wonderbar" rado. There was a foot switch, similar to the floor switch for headlights that you could press with your foot which would advance the radio to the next station. There was a bar on the radio itself that you pressed that did the same thing. There was a 3 position switch that set the sensitivity of the signal seek system, so it would stop on any station, weak to medium strength stations, or only strong stations. As for the headlight system, I do not recall auto on headlights (my dad had a 57 Fleetwood with all these features). It did have the auto dim system with the big "martian eye" on the top left of the dash. The system was primitive and was prone to flashing on and off when oncoming cars would approach.
Awesome information thank you so much for sharing =) I wasn’t sure if the radio was called wonderbar I know that’s with you or called it but I wasn’t sure if they kept the same name so that’s why I didn’t say the name but thank you so much for adding that and how it worked really appreciate it =)
I love many classic cars, but I always come back to the Cadillacs when picking a favorite. Whether a 57 or a 67 (or even a 77), it's hard for me to find any other car that matches Cadillac in terms of sheer styling and presence. Not necessarily the cleanest or prettiest cars, but they always made up for it with raw charm and charisma. To me, classic Cadillacs (1980 and earlier), are what American luxury cars should be.
Incredible condition. Beautiful. Can you imagine if a car today had a cigarette lighter in the armrest of the back seat where kids normally sit? Kid back then wouldn't have even considered touching anything without asking Mom and Dad 1st. Today this option would cause an instant lawsuit.
I know right I wonder if the cigarette lighters were just like a power outlet would today car would have to be in 12 V car of course you don’t wanna plug up 12 V AC adapter in a 6 V car catastrophic problems would occur i’ll have to check and make sure but I think this by 57 Chevy was 12 Volt

Totally funny that you address your research criticism , when just prior on this very video you are mis quoting what options are and are named and how they work. Examples, Autronic Eye is auto dimming, and only auto dimming, not Sentinel (automatic headlights), which didn’t show up until the 1960’s. Also, the signal seeking radio, wave your foot over a sensor????? Um, push a BUTTON on the floor, quite different. I love how you are interested in then older cars, but yea, you have to up your research game.
