- Elvis Presley loved cars. He purchased over 400 vehicles during his lifetime. Most of those though, he gave away to family and friends.
This is the story about the 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville, which Elvis owned for a short period of time in late 1956, early 1957.
Let's start from the beginning, and move forward and look at all the cars,
motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, golf carts and planes Elvis bought. My
guess is that this "Elvis Cars" series will be in about 100 episodes or more
so please subscribe for more videos about Elvis' cars.
Fabulous.
All his fans paid for all his car to this day Elvis Presley Never be forgotten 2022
The car's he buys tells a lot about where he is in life
It sure does!
My brother and I owned a 57 Cadillac coup. It was fast, because it had a 4 speed hydromatic.
Cadillac quit putting in 4 speed hydromatic around '59.
Actually the 4 speed hydromatic made the car run faster. But they increased the hp to compensate.
Did not make the car run faster. 4 speeds because there was not torque converter = ultra low first gear, shift to second at 5mph, to get the car moving. Inefficient design, eats up a lot of power. Replaced with 3 speed, modern Turbo 400 trans in '64. I have a'58 Eldorado Seville. Not fast.
@@anthonybianchini5144 My '57 Cadillac back in '67 was fast for the times. In those days, most of the cars were rear wheel drive. But that Cadillac could move. I was driving along the highway, and noticed that I was doing 90 mph. It seemed like I was driving 65 mph.
The reason I like 4 speeds is that I live in Pittsburgh.
We have a lot of step hills.
If you have a 3 speeds automatic, then at 35 mph you will be shifting between 2nd and 3rd as you go up the hill.
I saw this car on yt recently on a reality car show
If you have the link, please let me know.

will you be doing any of elvis' 70's cars? like the stutz blackhawks or the pantera?
Yes, definately. My plan is to cover all of his 1950s cars first and then move on to the cars he owned in the 1960s and 1970s. I'm really looking forward to do the Pantera and the Blackhawks since they are among my favorite Elvis cars.
I own a 57 eldorado!
Nice! Thanks for watching.
@El Capitan how do you know which number. I've seen other people mention it but I don't know how to find out
Hate to say it but chances are this 1957 Seville was scrapped to restore a 1957 Biarritz, sadly was the fate of many 1957 Sevilles.
I agree. Many convertibles were restored by using parts from the less expensive coupe version.
@@carsofelvis and that's sad because if I remember correctly, they both were the same price on the show room floor
@@willieoutlaw4957 It's really a shame. I love the convertible however the 57 Seville hardtop roof looks fantastic.
