Woodturning - Fantastic Scraps and What To Do With Them #3 | Darning Tools

- Darning tools and clothing repair are experiencing a resurgence! Darning is the repair of clothing by reweaving worn parts of the fabric with new threads. In the U.S. most of us know darning as something our grandparents did to get more life out of worn socks. However, darning doesn’t have to be an old school chore done with vintage tools. Small spot repairs are a great way to help favorite garment stay in your life. All you need are some skills (RUclips is terrific for this.), a few materials and the proper tools.
In this video, I make two different types of sock darning tools. First the darning egg and then the darning mushroom. Finally I make a glove darning tool, which is a tool I didn’t know about until researching this video.
All three of these useful darning tools are easy woodturning projects that can be made with only scraps of wood leftover from other projects.

Yes, I was referring to the voice segment at the end. I turned the sound up as high as it would go on my device, and could barely hear it. Thought you would like to be aware. Enjoy your turnings, and I have not seen darn devices before. Neat!
@Noel, you are correct. I do want and need to know about the experience(s) my viewers are having. Thanks for letting me know.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers!
Great Demo, yeah the audio was down. but great anyway
Thank you so much. I was glad to read you enjoyed the vid despite some audio issues. Fortunately I was able to find the problem before it carried over into other videos.
You still have audio issues. Have to turn way up to hear last part!
Thanks for your input. The low sound level(s) on this video are the result of one lousy setting! Which I didn’t discover until near the end of the shoot. Arg! 😳
When you say last part, are referring to the voice segment at the very end or the third project segment?
