Thank you very much for your precious insight about this. Maybe you can help me… I am 40 and I had 6 of my big follicles just vanish between trigger day and egg collection… resulting in a poor outcome with only 4 mature eggs out of 14 follicles initially seen on scan but only 8 follicles retrieved. Result is 2 embryos only.
What should be done next to prevent this from happening again…? Shorten stimulation? Decrease the dosage of stimulation medication?

Hello Dr. Gudi, I would really appreciate if you could explain about correlation between E2 and follicular growth. Does exponential growth of E2 in the beginning of cycle has negative effects on quality of eggs? Is 16000 E2 is acceptable at the time of trigger shot? And what are causes of post mature eggs?

Dear Supriya
It is difficult to comment . Follicles that show increase E2 early on may be developing faster or a large number may develop . A high E2 is often seen
