In which way you took apart ? I removed all screws on the backside, but seems not to open, at least I'm afraid to destroy frame or electronic. Are there any pictures which screws has to be disabled and in which way its possible to unmount the electronic ? thanks for the video, looks really detailed and useful
Hi. Great video. My Sony ht ct260 soundbar stopped working/powering up completely...The subwoofer is still powering up ok. I can't imagine anyone would be able to fix it like you in UK for less then 100 pounds. So my question is do you know if there is any other sounbar which would work wireless with my subwoofer? The CT260 would be the obvious choice but there isn't single one for sale anywhere. Its sad that my completely perfect and very powerful subwoofer is just piece of junk once the soundbar is dead. Thank you for any advice.
Yes should be fixable. We can repair it if you are local or want to post to us in manchester Uk.Or you can show to electronics technician in your locality.
Normally I eye roll when seeing comments about safety glasses etc. But honestly dialectric gloves are a GOOD idea when working with that kind of live voltage 240V is nothing to sneeze at, look at the size of that cap too. lol I worked on 3 phase 480v systems and 600v. If I was seen going near live voltage without them I was fired pronto. A co-worker once came along and I said, " Look, these fuses should have safety covers on them." He said, " This one? " as he pointed and touched the live 480v terminal. It was early morning first coffee time, but his eyes bugged out and he stood alert for a second and shuffled off in a hurry. Thank God he was alright, if his other hand wouldv'e been grounded on the steel door it would have stopped his heart. Wear the gloves.
Hi, I have HT 290 sound bar, display is turning ON but nothing is working except that, i checked your method i am getting 24V instead of 18V and the last pin 3.2V from power supply circuit. Could you help me out
I recently bought a bar off Ebay for $50 as the sub will only work connected to the bar. You probably wouldn't like the sound coming only from the sub-woofer anyway.
i have the same problem with my ht G700 it's not turning on. not even the display

Do Soft Reset.. and check. Keep power button pressed for 10Seconds
