    My first ever video on youtube was a tutorial on crocheting a sunflower, and it got nearly 100k view (I was like: wow, maybe there's people interested in my videos, so i started posting more :))) It has been 2 years and I decided to remake that video, but with a mini version kkkkk
    The sunflower will be large or small depending on the thickness of the yarn you use. Here are what I used:
    - Susan family 4, (a bright yellow, a dark brown and a green one), 1.6mm in thickness, 5gr each color
    - 3.5 mm crochet hook
    - 20cm craft wire (dia 0.5mm)
    - 40cm floral stem
    - Toy stuffing
    - A stitch marker
    - A tapestry needle
    - Scissors and fabric glue

    I made a mistake when mentioning materials: I used yarns called Susan family 4, 1.6mm in thickness, NOT '5-ply yarn' that is written in the video.

    Hi! This is one of the easiest tutorials for a sunflower I've followed! I love your videos.
    I was wondering- I notice that with each round, my circle keeps cupping into itself instead of remaining flat. How do I fix this? Beginner here, sorry 😅

    • @cherricrochet161
      @cherricrochet161  5 месяцев назад +1

      maybe because your crochet hook is not compatible with your yarn. If it is, then maybe youre too tight, loosening up a little bit will help 😉 and make sure the no of stitches of each round is exactly like those in the video

    hi, i’m sorry but i’m confused about how there are only 15 petals when there are 36 stitches in the seeds and sepal. Isn’t supposed to be 18? I followed this tutorial but my petals came out really tight and kind of crowded. help me please, thank you🥹
    nice tutorial, btw!🩵

    • @cherricrochet161
      @cherricrochet161  5 месяцев назад +3

      Hi, if 18 are too tight, you can adjust each petal accounting for 3 stitches instead of 2 like the video. After finishing 1 petal, slip stitch in the next stitch, and slip stitch in the next stitch again.

      My sunflowers normally have 18 petals, but in the video i had to speed up for filming so I might lost some stitches. My yarn is quite thin so 18 look the best, i recommend you to slightly adjust the pattern based on your preferences and the thickness of your yarn 💕
