    Hello! I'm learning how to crochet to make this sunflower for my friend's bd. I'm still trying to familiarize myself with the stitches. However, in the third round, I could not insert the hook into the "other loop" of the v shape( it like..disappeared lol and the circle began folding inwards as I progressed). Idk I have a habit to pull the yarn after every other stitch to tighten up everything lol. Is this good, or should I move through the rounds cooly? Do you have any tips? Thank you. I appreciate your work! You're doing great!

    • @sierras.stitches
      @sierras.stitches  26 дней назад +1

      I would recommend trying to crochet a little looser! If you pull the yarn too tightly it will make the stitches so tight they “disappear,” which makes it harder on yourself! I think you should try to use a bright color (easier to see the stitches) and try to crochet a bit looser to just practice first!!

    After the 18 stitches round I’m lost! What’s the increase? Just one single crochet? As we are doing 2 sc and 1 inc ? Mine adds up to being 27 stitches not 24 with 2sc & then 1 sc around?

    • @valrojas16
      @valrojas16 4 месяца назад +1

      go slowly and count if you're actually starting with 18, if you do 2sc and an inc times 6, it should be 24

    hello i would like to ask how to adjust the petals of the sunflower If I would like to increase the height of the leaves? do you have any pattern of that? I would appreciate answer from you. Thankyou!

    • @sierras.stitches
      @sierras.stitches  Месяц назад +1

      The sunflower petals? You’d need to do TR and DTR or possibly even a taller stitch?

    • @michaelpelagio9468
      @michaelpelagio9468 Месяц назад

      @@sierras.stitches yes I'm referring to petals. Is there a taller stitch aside from treble or double treble stitch?

    • @sierras.stitches
      @sierras.stitches  Месяц назад

      I don’t know of the exact name, I have people say quadruple crochet before? Essentially just repeating the same process for DTR and wrapping the yarn around the hook more times!

    • @michaelpelagio9468
      @michaelpelagio9468 Месяц назад

      Hmmm, meaning it's just a treble stitch with more yarn over ? To adjust its height of the petals? Am I correct?

    • @sierras.stitches

      @@michaelpelagio9468 yep! Just a taller version of a treble

    • @sierras.stitches
      @sierras.stitches  11 месяцев назад +1

      I personally have never tried super glue, my only concern would be the drying time. I use hot glue because it dries in a matter of seconds. Plus, super glue can be a bit more messy than regular hot glue
