  • Consider these statements!
    Extensor tendon injuries are more commoner than flexor tendon injuries.
    The hand function is compromised if the extensor tendon injuries are not managed correctly
    So the management of extensor tendon injuries is equally important as flexor tendon injuries!
    Learning the Zones of injury of extensor tendons is the first step in this direction.
    And then understanding the basic principles of management is of paramount importance!
    These are dealt with in this video before we see the detailed management of extensor tendon injuries in our subsequent sessions!

    Thank you so much Sir for this very useful video but I have a question if you don’t mind; why the tendon is more susceptible to rupture at day 10 post repair? Keep it going

      That is when the strength of the suture material starts coming down and the strength of the tendon healing is not that much!
