Yeah sadly we have to let him go no point dragging it out when his mind is made up too much money (wages) to turn down for him. 😢 But hopefully this is Ortega's moment to solidify his place as no. 1

At this point whenever a player is linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and wants to go there, it honestly not surprising to anyone because I don’t blame the players for taking the money because it’s very hard for them to turn it down. In the last 18 months guys like Cristiano Ronaldo Neymar Karim Benzema Sadio Mane N’Golo Kante Roberto Firmino Riyad Mahrez Kalidou Koulibaly Ruben Neves Edouard Mendy Sergej Milinkovic Savic Fabinho etc have all made moves to Saudi Arabia, they’ve also been linked with other players as well. Despite being what 25-26 years old, Moussa Diaby from Aston Villa is going to the Middle East and the likes of Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne on Manchester City are also going to follow suit.
Ederson is unlikely to go to Al Nassr, but there’s more of a probability that he’s going to Al Ittihad and he wants to leave, he’s going for the money and Man City has no choice but to sell him for a good price as he’s about to get the bag. There were rumors that KDB and Al Ittihad have agreed on personal terms and it’s a move that isn’t going to hope this summer as remember he said that he’s not going to rule out a potential move to Saudi Arabia as he is open to a move there if they offer a ridiculous amount of money. For those who think that what Saudi Arabia is doing is ruining football, you’re completely delusional because the premier league has been doing this for years and we see this with other big teams where they throw money at players just to get them as they’ll do everything their power to get what they want. You also sound like someone who has never worked a single day in your life if you have an issue with players leaving Europe early for money. When a player wants to go to Saudi Arabia, the club doesn’t have any control because these guys are gonna offer them so much money that’s difficult for them to turn down and at the end of the day, it’s generational wealth earning 400 million a year and no one is turning that down at all. KDB and Ederson have the right to go to Saudi Arabia on their own terms and this is something that’s going to continue happening until their project fails just like when China was signing players and convincing them to join their league because of money.

As good as Ederson is, Ortega is an even better shot stopper and just as good with his feet if not better. The one area where I do think Ederson has the advantage over Ortega is claiming crosses. Although Ortega is still very good at it. Bigger picture, it might not be the worst thing in the world to cash in on Ederson. Ortega is a very good goalkeeper.
