    INEOS have been a bit cute. After the cup final, the backing for ETH among the fan base was so intense that they hedged their bets.
    Instead of offering a new contract, they merely triggered a 12 month extension on his existing one, left his wages the same, and changed everyone around him. Basically it's a shell game. They've backed him, without really backing him.
    Also they've brought in Ruud van Nistlerooy, who's not only got Man Utd pedigree, but who's already shown that he potentially could be a good manager, if only initially on a caretaker basis.
    And I don't believe for one second that having had a successful season in management (admittedly only one), he came to United in order to just sit on the bench and play second fiddle to Erik Ten Hag.
    Basically, Ruud has read the room. If United don't improve and quickly get in and around the top 4, Ruud van Nistlerooy will be giving his first team talk before the end of November. Watch this space.

    This may be an unpopular opinion but i don't think Casemiro is as bad as he has looked recently. I think the problem is how United buildup from the back; whoever plays in thst DM position doesn't have options during the build up phase because the rest of the team seems to want to push up so it's easy especially for a high energetic team like Liverpool to trigger the press on the DM and force him to make a mistake. Maino made the same mistake in the second half when Casemiro was not on the pitch which suggests it's more tactical than the individual play.

    • @Photosoflife
      @Photosoflife Месяц назад +3

      @Jur1_00
      Over the past 365 days, Casemiro is in the 38th percentile (in a bad way) for pass completion percentage and 40th percentile for progressive passes. You can’t expect to be a top team building from the back with a holding midfielder as the focal pivot point who is so bad at completing passes and single handedly disrupts the fluidity of possession out from the back. What happened against Liverpool was extreme but Casemiro has been poor at passing for a long time.

    • @joegrinefine
      @joegrinefine Месяц назад +2

      Very popular and accurate fact….CASEMIRO HAS BEEN FINISHED FOR OVER A YEAR NOW…..The fact that Real Madrid was willing to easily part ways,was quite telling……Casemiro has chosen to come to the most robust league in the world at the tail end of his career…..

      Same thing used to happen Pogba and every other 6 since Keane. Players can look good in Spain or Italy or their national team where the game is played at a slower pace but the prem is pretty face paced and intense. Also crowded in that area so that first pass he tried was never on. Players not good enough to play 1 touch, most not good enough for 2 touch so this will keep happening.
      If you cant play out from the back then why do it! If Pep started launching up to Haaland in the morning, the rest of the sheep would follow!

      For starters, Arteta didn’t spend 300 million in his first 2 sessons but even disregarding that;
      Just because he got a trophy doesn’t mean he has done the same level of work as early Arteta.
      Arteta got statements shutout wins against significantly stronger city and Liverpool sides and were competing in almost every game.
      They certainly weren’t loosing 3-0 to Liverpool in twice in a month, 4-0 to palace, 3-0 to bournemouth etc etc. consistently a year into his tenure

    😊you have to back him, why, well because the new owners currently aren’t replacing him so unless he walks away or they fire him you have no choice. Do I believe he is tactfully adept no I don’t and until he shows us his tactics then I have no clue.
    He’s a nice fella that is stuck on two trophies and this drives his belief that his strategies are working, United fans would trade winning another league cup for a top 4 finish.
    We bowed out of Europe in pathetic fashion last time out and I don’t see a lot of encouragement for a great run this time, I think a European trophy a top 4 finish and an FA Cup would be a poor man’s treble but a significant improvement.
    So many United players got low marks against Liverpool that in honesty a draw wasn’t even on the cards and Liverpool would be fooled to thinking this result will define their season, they played United off the park and often easy games like that just means 3 points but not a true test or major learning curve, it was men versus boys.
