I love how you explain everything in detail. I tiled around my fireplace but I didn’t want to do bigger jobs because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on tile cutters. Your tile cutters showed me I could do it. I am so excited !
There are spacers that can bring ur sockets forward so they don’t look sunk in due to the tiles being higher. I found them in the elec section at Lowe’s for just over $5. They go behind the metal piece u pulled the screws from. Good vid, as always. U r lovely.
You encouraged me to do this myself, thank you for sharing your journey and having the courage to take on a project like this! I did it and it came out great. I'm so glad it's over with though. 😅 I have 4 kids and work and took my time doing this.. took about 3 weeks.

We recently added a backsplash too, but I must admit that I only did a small part of the installation. Hubby did the most. We did end up sealing our backsplash. The directions called for it, but it wasn't difficult. I like your herringbone pattern! Great job!
caron1310 my grout doesn’t need to be sealed since it’s a ( no sealing required grout) - formula that doesn’t require sealing. It cost more but cuts out the extra work! I do plan on adding an extra coat of sealer just because I cook a lot lol Thanks for watching ❤️

Sometimes you watch the construction guys do it and explain it and they go so fast and use terms your not familiar with. You did a fantastic job it looks beautiful. I'm trying to work my way up to being able to tile my backslash. Just trying to get ideas And decide sticky tile or tile and grout. Thank you for the video!

I know this is an old video, but i'm so mad that the hardware store wouldn't refund you on that alabaster grout! UGH! Also I love your videos. I want to redo the backsplash in my kitchen and you are inspiring me!
As actual professional tile installer unlike some of these guys in the comment section saying how good it looks, this is hard to watch. You don't use a score and snap on bevelled tile, nor do you use a dremel to cut tile. You should have just rented a small wetsaw. All those jagged cuts look terrible, I would not pay one dollar for that work. You should have put the trim where the cupboards end.
Hi Queeni, quick question, how did you measure the bottom row of tiles? I am interested in trying to tile my kitchen backsplash. We are just waiting for the countertop to be installed since we have no countertops 😪.
hey hun measure the sq ft of your backsplash this will tell you how much tile you will need. Tile comes in boxes and most of the time it will say how much sq ft each box will cover. I hope this helps hun!
