a couple of years ago we also had a huge rain on the coast and I took my 4x4 along the same road just out of Hoki past that sawmill, it was much worse. everything was underwater the entire road was probably half a meter underwater. It looked like I was driving in a lake. the only thing I saw left from the road were the road markers. otherwise, I couldn't tell where the road actually is.
Is this region prone to flooding? Have seen properties for sale, but are trying to do research on the area before even thinking about purchasing or travelling to the region.
