The Civil War Battle of Chattanooga started out looking like a Confederate victory; however, Union General Ulysses S. Grant took command and transformed what could have been a tragic defeat into a outstanding victory. Join my team of reenactors and I as we recreate this historic event.

Lincoln was shown the fire power of the Spencer Rifle. Lincoln then issued an executive order to have every Union soldier to have a Spencer. But the quarter master general got the order and balked at the cost of the "waste of ammunition" that the Union soldiers were going to be doing. So, he ignored the order. Think how quick the war would have ended? While the Reb loaded his one shot, the Union would load 7 rounds in the same amount of time.
