Though the topic of what Civil War soldiers wore on their feet might seem uninteresting, it is in fact a cool and fascinating part of the American Civil War. The Brogans, used by both sides, did not have a particular long life and thus some soldiers ended up bare-foot, especially at the end of the war. Becoming bare foot was not to common during the Civil War.
