    Just out of interest, what state do you live in? As a Brit, I couldn't say. Looks like you've got lots of nice woodland and scenery to film in.

    Gatling guns really used. I know there were some on gunboats and such but not common at all. I’d sit down and do research and type it out here but I’m on vacation, lol.

      The Gatling Gun was patented in 1862 and, though the US army did not adopt it until 1866, it was bought by individuals for use in the war. It is known to have seen combat during the siege of Petersburg in 1864 and, as you said, it was used on gunboats. However, it was not a common weapon during the Civil War. Thank for commenting.

    Yes, this is a good video.
    The main thing you left out was that
    slaves were building earthworks for the South.
    And they were a lot better at it than Union soldiers.
    Thus, Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation
    to deprive the South of that important asset.
