Fantastic video. I will have my kids watch this to get a basic understanding of the history of this great nation, and the sacrifices made by all those brave soldiers, and their families. Our history should be told, pointing out the true history of our country, for better, or worse.
"True history" of our country is a right wing dogwhistle of a phrase that attacks all the hard-working schoolteachers across the country. It's typically uttered by grown adults who haven't been in school in decades, and who haven't paid any attention when they were in school decades ago. It's also rather ironic for someone to praise this video so vehemently to also then brag about using this to teach "true US history." Some of my favorite topics to read about is the world wars. I’ve learned the maps of Europe from pretty much just those alone. And also the Smithsonian books and from the WWI gaming series. Almost brings tears to my eyes knowing what men fought and died for and seeing where we are now and where we are headed... Can we muster the strength and find the leadership to last?

What an amazing piece of work! We’re at a time where American history is in danger and ABT gives us a piece of hope by keeping our history alive
Good job putting this together dude. Very informative and intriguing. ✌️
Extremely well done and educational , thank you to all the creators, May God Bless you and your families!!❤❤❤
Man i love this channel , the civil war battles were amazing and detailed!! I look forward to new videos from you guys everytime i log in ! Thank you!!🇺🇸 🇬🇧
absolutely top notch. I'll be watching again.
Fantastic show!! Put a lot of things in order for me. Thank you.
The French and Indian War needs more time! Please
I completely agree with you on that because I was surprised that the fighting at Fort William Henry, Carillon and Lake George was emitted from this video because i was expecting like what they did for the American civil war with the troop movements and general names.
Yes!
This really puts into perspective what our ancestors had to go through to build and mold our country. It wasn’t always easy, a lot of mistakes were made, a lot was lost, and sometimes, bad things happened (not trying to downplay anything). Though we stumble, we still have our flaws and problems, and we might look around and not always like what we see, this is still our home, our country and it’s up to us to ensure a bright future, just like those who came before us.
As a veteran, I agree. It’s agonizing to see that our current administration has a different agenda.

Thank you for making such an excellent video! I'm grateful for the many Americans who have sacrificed for me, my family, and my community. War is a terrible thing, and while America's past is full of both bad and good, the fundamentals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are what truly define this nation. May her people ever remember where the strength of America comes from. We honor the good, acknowledge the bad, and carry on in the cause of freedom!
Same here, My town's VFW has several WW2 veterans
Someone in my family has fought in all these wars. I am a descendent of the Meigs and many other people that have played pivotal roles in the founding of this country and before white man ever stepped foot here. Also my 6th great grandfather was Chief William McIntosh the one Jackson went to help at horseshoe bend. He argued with Jackson about taking the land but Jackson took it and still made him Brigadier General. He was murdered in 1825 for signing the treaty of Indian Springs.
It's also rather ironic for someone to praise this video so vehemently to also then brag about using this to teach "true US history." This is just a very brief, and sometimes misleading (see the sections of the World Wars that leaves out the contributions and names of "the allies" while only specifically mentioning the US. It doesn't even give the Soviet Union any credit, except a blue shade.)
@@Nihilianthright wing dog whistle?

So glad you put the Texas revolution on there🥹

Gets to 15 minutes in and I am already exceptionally impressed. Not a lot of people would’ve included the quasi war.
I loved this. And everything you all do is just great and amazing ❤💯 From beginning to End.
Its amazing what america has done in 300yrs in relation to what other lands have done in 3000

I live 15min from Yorktown. I frequent the battlefield trail a lot.
Very well produced, thanks!
The gold standard of historical content. Well done. ❤
Really? This is "the gold standard of historical content"? 180 years worth of history squeezed into a whitewashed 58 minute video? Entertaining to be sure. But "the gold standard of historical content"? 🤣
@@Nihilianth The American Battlefield Trust has been making historical content for years. They have raised money to support and grow these American battlefields like no other organization I am aware of. With access to the best historians and years of knowledge at their disposal I never have to wonder if what they are telling me is correct. So yes, in my opinion they are the GOLD STANDARD for historical content. And I stand by it.
@@JOEHOVA I said nothing about the organization, but about the video. You're responding in the comment section of this specific video, and I was.respondong to your comment. Nice try at moving the goal posts.
But, yeah. No. This video is NOT "the gold standard" of historical review.
@@Nihilianth This video is a great introduction to people without a deep knowledge of the American Wars. If you try to dive too deeply on such a massive topic you lose people. This is something I am very familiar with in my profession. But I am sure the content you make is much better. feel free to drop me a link. 🙂
@@JOEHOVA No. It literally is NOT a "great introduction to people without a deepbknowledhe of America's wars." Because, once again, it isn't even an introduction. Anyone who has gotten past 5th grade already knows everything in this video. And for those who never have gotten past fifth grade, this is t going to help them understand anything about "America's wars."
This was excellent story telling! I have seen quite a few "documentaries" that have had a agenda and it really diminishes ones curiosity and takes away from the learning experience. This was neutral toned through-out and executed brilliantly. We need more educational series like this!
Thanks!
now this is epic
Absolutely brilliant 👏🏻 well done Sir 👍🏻
This was absolutely incredible. So many smaller wars I had never even heard of before. Thank you for doing this!
They skipped about 30 smaller wars too. lmao
They didn't mention the Beaver Wars.
Through smoke, fire, and blood, they have forged a new world and new births of freedom.
My friends, never ever ever forget what they did. What we have now, only because of those brave souls.
In memory of my dad, Tsgt Charles G, 1934-2013
This is wonderfully done. Please do another showcasing post WW2 conflict.
This is well done. I am impressed. No sugar coating. No political leaning, just the highlights. It's astounding that this even mentioned the barberry wars, instead of just being a star spangled representation of US history.
Wish they included things like Lafayette or Baron von Steuben in the Revolutionary War or included more details on the Indian Wars and the American-Philippines War. The last one was particularly forgotten in US history.
Some of my favorite topics to read about is the world wars. I’ve learned the maps of Europe from pretty much just those alone. And also the Smithsonian books and from the WWI gaming series. I think the maps of Europe are so interesting. I hope you guys do more eventually, like other European wars, but I guess that wouldn’t make sense, but would be cool still!
Well they left important stuff out…might look bad for the USA, and reputation is more important than truth!
I never realized this battle had such significance. Great stuff! ⚔🙌
So excited 😆 love this style of video
Most of the wars America was in started when someone messed with our boats
Simply an outstanding production.
Wow. What a fantastic video and so humbling. I'm so grateful for the generations before me.
Could have done with 30-60 seconds on the naval actions on the Great Lakes during the War of 1812, but overall a comprehensive effort. Thumbs up.
Don't give up the ship!
@@tonywords6713The Canadians won the war of 1812. It’s in their textbooks
I went on a spontaneous trip to Put-In-Bay because I was visiting Ohio from Indiana one time. I learned about the naval battles in the area that I never knew about! Interesting place!
4 different invasions into Canada, all repulsed, including Niagara. They also failed to mention the burning of the White House was in retaliation for the sacking of York (Toronto) in winter. Americans call it a draw. lol
My great great grand father, who is name was Lieutenant, colonel, Samuel S Lewis who fought in the Texas revolution war
Was this a witty parody of people who incessantly post “My dad, or my grandfather…” comments to war videos? Or did you really think your relative 5-6 generations removed was a conversation piece? Heck, with the number of wars Americans have fought it is nigh impossible for anyone to go back 5-6 generations and not have a relative that participated in a war… everyone could write your post.

I sincerely hope that there will be another video, covering 1945 to the present. My wife and I homeschool, and this video will be added to the history section of our materials. Thank you for making it.
The issue is the American Battlefield Trust is supposed to be politically neutral. How is it going to cover the "We lied about WMDs" Middle East campaigns without any bias. Not to mention, half of the wars in the Cold War that were a tie/loss portray the US military in a negative light.
@@panzerwafflez7228 I'd hope that they would be real honest about how the wars were conducted, especially all the political interference in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan. The only way we learn from the mistakes of the past is to be honest about them.
