    Always nice to watch a pro. I have a similar project, but it's going to have shelves. This really helped me figure out how to make the uneven walls look straight while not having to cut my shelving at weird angles.

    how much would you charge for that bench ?

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  2 года назад

      I personally would charge about $900-1000 to build that bench in someone’s house…that would cover materials, delivery of materials and labor for 1 full day. This price does not include caulk and paint or labor to finish the bench… thank you for watching! Have a blessed day 😎

    Great Video Hunter thank you! I will be installing this in my new home. Only question I have is what steps would be needed to add a smaller top cubby for items like hats and sunglasses? Thanks!

  • @christsoldiergirlfitnesslo7895

    Best tutorial so far! Question on the cubbies, is there a difference doing it this way (46 inches and 44 5/8) vs having two 46inches long ones (for the bottom and top) and then the legs are all 19 inches placed on the insides of the 46 inches ones and skipping the space at the bottom of the cubbies to the floor? Saw a video done that way and wondering which is better. Thanks!!!

    Thank you for the info and tutorial. I've been looking for a DIY video for this particular project that is actually something a normal DIYer can do. Other videos, while informative had you using tools, that I feel only professionals have. Thank you and I look forward to watching more.

    Is Alpine wood easy to paint?

    Why not doing this after the finish floor is put down? No hearing or dust protection while working with MDF?

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  3 года назад +3

      If it was my own house I would definitely install after flooring...but this is how DR Horton schedules their trades...all interior carpentry (other than baseboard) needs to be finished at this stage of the house...makes it easier on the painters...I’m sorry I don’t have dust or hearing protection...maybe I should be a little more concerned over my health on the job site, but I’m not...I appreciate you asking because it shows that you care! I just don’t want you to think any less of me because I’m not taking the extra precautionary steps...thank you for your time and watching! Any more questions please let me know! Have a blessed day!

    Great video! Where do you get your MDF?

    • @huntercarlson5446
      @huntercarlson5446  2 года назад

      Thank you Adam! I get all my material from Alpine Lumber Millwork Division in Aurora Colorado…if your not in the Denver Metro area I suggest finding a “millwork” shop in your area. Better prices than Lowes and Depot if you can find a good company! Have a blessed day 😎

    • @huntercarlson5446

      No glue needed to nail bench and cubbies together...glue was used to nail all seams of the face frame and the 1/4” backer to the wall...
