- If the Trojans will be successful on offense in 2024, the offensive line will need to perform better than they did in 2023. There are five groups on that side of the ball and I have them ranked lowest. I explain in the first segment how they could end up being one of the better rooms if they play to their capabilities.
The B1G Conference doesn't do a formal preseason ranking, however, I filled out my ballot ranking all 18 teams. I'll tell you where USC will finish during the show's second segment.
Lincoln Riley will be one of the more popular personalities during media days, and I explain why in the show's final segment.

I think, if our defense improves 50%, which should be no problem with our new coaching staff. Miller Moss is going to tear it up he’s gonna run Lincoln Riley‘s offense so smooth with the weapons he has to play with. This is going to be a fun year. I cannot wait for football to start.

Totally agree it's about the offensive line. Last year if Caleb hadn't scrambled they would have given up a 100 sacks .
I'm not concerned about the toughness of anything except for the oline .
Without question the offensive line will have to be more physical, and that's not as easy as you think.
While Rileys version of the AirRaid had been more physical than other teams that run that offense, but that was against B12 teams.
The B10 teams are more of a challenge with their size and power.

Pregnon has the tools to be all conference. He posted a video of him doing pull-ups with 70 pounds hanging from him….absolutely insane
over/under on "D" questions for CLR tomorrow is a large number. They will ask why he thinks he can be competitive in the B1G and if he feels diss'd behind OSU zeros and Miiiiichigan AND PSU. He should tell them we have Trojan spirit and a gigantic work ethic and enjoy being under the RADAR. but I still would be real happy to do better than 9-3, but don't really expect it yet.

I'm more concerned with the Offense Line's Production and Depth. We have Big Bodies, I'm skeptical on the OL development which I haven't seen the last 3 Seasons!
I’m partial, but I think Wisconsin will do better than 10 in conference play. More like 6-7 with a slightly higher ceiling if all goes right for them.

Yes. That pretty much goes for all the Big Ten and SEC schools though. The critical word in it is “if”.
Forget about winning the opener. That makes it 2-1 on the other 3. Good luck with that.
I keep saying this.. Moss will excel as this USC OL excels. OL was horrid last year. The Big 10 will be tough to run the ball. There has to be a very big emphasis on developing a Run game and moss could have success like JJ McCarthy did last year for Michigan
There is no big conference. That big conference reference is the kind of thing that Fumblebaum would insist on. It is the Big 10 conference. Not the big 12, big conference, etc.
Get over yourself and look at the logo on the field--it spells B1G.--Besides- it's just a matter of time before there is one big super conference of teams playing each other.
The BIG X refers to itself as the BIG.

I'm not so excited for the start of the season. Every team is full of "rent-a-players." Yeah they still wear the great colors of Cardinal and Gold but ... meh.
SP+ #18, meaning we go 7-5; FPI #21 meaning we go 8-4. 6-6 would not be a shock. Vegas has us 7-5. We'll see in game 1: 2023's #1 offense against 2023's #116 defense, and leading the nation 2 years straight giving up explosive 30+ yard plays, playing a coach who has our number and is 8-3 lifetime against us. We have to: (1) TACKLE, (2) cover the middle of the field, (3) stop letting RBs get to the edge, (4) cover the TE, and (5) stop lumbering QBs. Until proof positive of the same is presented, then we stink.

Of course he’s a homer and for good reason. USC won games with some bad coaches and miss placed players. Most of those problems have been rectified.
