@@EbonySeraphim That last sentence is probably the most true statement. I went through so many wingmen because they either lost interest, schedules, or are toxic. Sometimes I wish the player-base was larger just so I could find a competent wingman :(
Within 15 miles it's not necessary, it's only sorta necessary on long range shots 15+ miles and even then, it'll only make a difference if the bandit changes course from the initial firing parameters, other than that the missile is leading itself to the predicted position at time of impact.
You forget the part where you end up in a 1v1 dogfight long enough for 14 vipers and 10 f-18's to furball in a 10km radius around you with 10 F-14's shooting 154's from 50km and everything starts exploding and ..... do it all over again.

You gotta learn the basics my man. Most important thing is learning air density, weapon engagement distances per altitude, situational awareness, and how your radar works. You can learn how to lock up a bandit and wait for the shoot que but you'll already have an AIM120 ready to hit you in the face inbound without a RWR warning if you don't know your bandits altitude, aspect, speed, and what weapons he is carrying. The best thing you can do is watch some training videos on how the radar works first then go on growling sidewinders videos and watch his BVR videos where he explains all of this... PVP is a shit show. No one communicates like they would in a squadron vs squadron scrimmage.

There's no such thing as a random friendly F-16. Only ones that haven't shot at you yet.

The speed at which you used the HSD to tag the bogey and see it on the HUD to point the radar with HMCS at it 😎

If we had the AIM-120D, it has data link capability, so it can use data from other aircraft for guidance before going pitbull.

It does it's called a primary datalink track
SOI to HSI and TMS up on a mark there to get a track on datalink targets, can do friendlies too, not perfecly accurate but gets you in the right area
How did you manage to see your wingman on Link16 as a windman (blue), not just as friendly (green)?
We spawned in the same flight at beslan, they're numbers f-16 1 to 4
By the way in the description the game is set to Falcon 4.0 but this is actually DCS

Is this game not good for casual gamer?
It's a study level simulator and it requires a decent investment in hardware
