But I was born in '73 so of course that's how I was brought up! 😅 But even as I got older, and kids in the 80s had TVs in their rooms, we still only had one TV in the living room. The one thing I did have, and it was by default, was my own phone line in my room. (Because as a teenage girl, nobody in my house could use the phone without having to kick me off first. 😝) So when we got a computer that needed dialup, that was my line. As long as my dad didn't need to do work on the computer, the line was all mine. But to be able to do what you're doing nowadays is truly commendable! I salute you! 👍👏✊

What kind of hypocrite talks about some people being triggered about certain topics when the song writers were triggered into writing it? Doesn't make sense. Yeah, they bring something new to the table but it seems it's wanting attention. They got it but it was an extremely low bar to hit because anything that speaks politically to one side people are gonna want to hear it because it reinforces their beliefs. This song doesn't find a middle ground to anything. It's about being mad about what others think. "Your offensive beliefs offended me so I'm going to offend you back." It's an endless cycle of dumb.

THAT is why I am disappointed in you not calling out that the song is NOT about facts. If you would have just reacted to the song and talked about beat and flow and whatnot, that would be one thing, but to give a little speech about respecting others and treating them how you want to be treated, and then turn around in the same breath and pretend that Tom isn't going against everything you just said, is really disheartening to see. I agree. Something else that really bothered me is his approval & agreement with the lyrics "if every Caucasian's a bigot, I guess every Muslim's a terrorist." Considering there is a genocide happening right now against middle eastern people who have been demonized for YEARS, which can be argued ENABLED the genocide and ethnic cleansing that is happening... it's upsetting to hear. A white person being labeled a bigot does not have the same weight as labeling Muslims terrorists. White people are not under attack or in danger, but they sure love to pretend to be.

Great reaction man! I hope you are feeling better or at least working things out after checking out that video about some of your family unfortunately passing. My parents are divorced and I still love them and see them but ever since they divorced when I was a teen I have been living with my grandparents. Grandpa died 2022. I never get scared or super worried about things but I have had nightmares and anxiety attacks about the thought of when my grandmother is going to pass. She has always been there for me and its really rough when you are so close to people and you never know when they might pass on to heaven.
I've lost both parents and both sides of grandparents before I was thirty. You'll do fine, just continue to have faith that you'll see them again one day. Live a life you can be proud of, and do it to honor them..God Bless, I know it hurts..
I’m so sorry that happened. My parents divorced right when I was 18. I was starting my life but it still affected me. I had to move into a father position for my sister because my father died from a freak accident when she was 8. Grandparents are so valuable and I was crushed when my grandpa passed. What kind of hypocrite talks about some people being triggered about certain topics when the song writers were triggered into writing it? Doesn't make sense. Yeah, they bring something new to the table but it seems it's wanting attention. They got it but it was an extremely low bar to hit because anything that speaks politically to one side people are gonna want to hear it because it reinforces their beliefs. This song doesn't find a middle ground to anything. It's about being mad about what others think. "Your offensive beliefs offended me so I'm going to offend you back." It's an endless cycle of dumb.

Yes, your words were factual, or at least good advice, but not advice followed by Tom or Ben? Why aren't you calling Tom out for having a song called "Facts", when it's a song full lies and half truths, my god, the very first line of the track is total cap!!! For the last time....THERE ARE NOT "ONLY TWO GENDERS" That isn't even debatable, gender is a human construct, made up in the human mind, no different than the Jedi and the Sith, Harry Potter and Frodo. We can have as many or as few genders as we want, Tom is confusing gender with biological sex.
It's not that big of deal if Tom wants to remain ignorant, and believe ignorant stuff, but unfortunately he has a large platform and a lot of ignorant fans hang on his every word, and his words don't just stop at "there's only two genders", his lyrics promote hate and violence towards marginalized groups, and people capable of bringing violence on those groups, like the plethora of LGBTQ night club shootings, and random beatings of gay and transgender people, get inspired by the words/lyrics of people like Tom. THAT is why I am disappointed in you not calling out that the song is NOT about facts. If you would have just reacted to the song and talked about beat and flow and whatnot, that would be one thing, but to give a little speech about respecting others and treating them how you want to be treated, and then turn around in the same breath and pretend that Tom isn't going against everything you just said, is really disheartening to see.
Not that you care, but I'm still going to be a loyal subscriber, for one I know you have a good heart, and are otherwise the real deal, but I also don't cancel people, or turn my back on them just because they did something I disagree with, I just really wish you'd look at the bigger picture moving forward, because if you want a better world for your kiddos future, propping up people like Tom and his rhetoric WILL NOT afford you that future you hope for.

Considering there is a genocide happening right now against middle eastern people who have been demonized for YEARS, which can be argued ENABLED the genocide and ethnic cleansing that is happening... it's upsetting to hear.
A white person being labeled a bigot does not have the same weight as labeling Muslims terrorists. White people are not under attack or in danger, but they sure love to pretend to be.

Great reaction man! I hope you are feeling better or at least working things out after checking out that video about some of your family unfortunately passing. My parents are divorced and I still love them and see them but ever since they divorced when I was a teen I have been living with my grandparents. Grandpa died 2022. I never get scared or super worried about things but I have had nightmares and anxiety attacks about the thought of when my grandmother is going to pass. She has always been there for me and its really rough when you are so close to people and you never know when they might pass on to heaven.
I've lost both parents and both sides of grandparents before I was thirty. You'll do fine, just continue to have faith that you'll see them again one day. Live a life you can be proud of, and do it to honor them..God Bless, I know it hurts..
I’m so sorry that happened. My parents divorced right when I was 18. I was starting my life but it still affected me. I had to move into a father position for my sister because my father died from a freak accident when she was 8. Grandparents are so valuable and I was crushed when my grandpa passed. I feel you;) YHWY is the ultimate Father/Grandpa that carries us through everything. Shalom;)
