My daughter wanted to be in law enforcement since she was 6, she graduated with honors,went to college graduated from there with honors with a degree in Criminal Justice . Joined the police force right outta the academy. My nephew said he told his class he wanted to be a cop like her when he grew up and she said Why? Everyone hates us he should be a firefighter instead😢My mommy heart broke for her. But I am 1000% glad she left the force after only 3 yrs. This world is a mess and people dont understand how many legit good officers we lost due to the hate.

On one side you have Tom, the joker crime boss, looking crazy, very physically energetic, looking like he might use a baseball bat on your skull if you sneeze during his monologue. Meanwhile Ben looks like the godfather crime boss, very calm, cold, and will simply snap his finger and a couple of goons are gonna pop behind you to take you in the backroom, but then will send flowers to your wife afterward to apologize for the inconvenience.
One of my favorite commercials from back in the day was a guy standing on a normal neighborhood street. He said " On 9/11 terrorist tried to change our country forever." Then the camera pulls out and you see a flag on every house. "It worked"
It was one of the most powerful patriotic commercials ever. And today the far left would lose their minds. Im not a conservative or a liberal. I am. A die hard centrist. Im so "middle of the road" i could be double yellow lines. But being proud of your country, loving it despite its flaws, and trying to make it better without just crapping on it, is how we really make America great again. If you think either candidate is the answer, please think hard about that.
First thank you and your family for the service yall have done and is doing. I wanted to be a cop when I got out of the army, however, I was injured. But you are right there is good people and bad people in all professions. Please let your family know at least one person understands and is praying for their safety everyday. We need law enforcement and the bad apples ruin it just as for the bad apples in the military ruin the rep of service members. Much love brother!

It’s so strangely wholesome to see how positive the reactions have been for Ben and the respect for stepping clearly out of his comfort zone, having fun with it, and doing his thing. I was straight edge all the way through high school, didn’t drink until I was 21, and I dressed in a way that automatically pegged me as the kid to stay away from. I loved meeting my friends parents as their eyes would widen upon meeting me and we could end up have multiple hour conversations about music, movies, or life. And my friends would be like ok let’s hang out now. lol. Don’t judge a book by its cover rings true. Gotta show people through actions, cuz they always speak louder than words.

This is why, when I see police officers or first responders of any kind in public and clearly on break, I ask if they would be willing to take a minute to pet my puppy. She's only a 7 month old Rottweiler Pitbull puppy and she is JUSTTT restrained enough to sit when I tell her to, but she'll perk her ears, whine, and have that whole butt wag going on. They generally look tired, depressed, or just upset, and by the time they're done petting a 50lb puppy who whole-heartedly climbed up in their lap and thoroughly kissed their entire face for 5 minutes? They're all beaming. They got to be a human in uniform for 5 minutes.
